Estelle appreacian thread (i can't spell)

Long time reader, first time poster (oh how painful the past week has been - registration was one of those things I was always going to get around to), but wanted to voice my thoughts late in the game anyway:

Ben may have won the money - and good for him, I can't begrudge him the publicity he gained last night - but what can I say, integrity is priceless. And that right there is your win, Estelle.

Anyone who has to keep asking how they came across on screen before they've even gotten off it (while simultaneously professing just being true to themselves is what won them the game) has missed the boat on understanding what integrity even means. Estelle, you have it in spades.

Well said :)
Can't buy integrity, not even for $250K.

Geez, things would have been so much different if he stayed instead of Ben.
Can only dream about it now.

Definitely. Although I messed up on calculations, I forgot the percentages I just know Ryan and Ben were a point of difference and Bradley had most votes.

Typical, he was just as much a bitch as Ben & Michael.
Don't they make real men anymore?

I remember starting to like him because he really opened up to Estelle, guess not. I really hope they can all be friends on the outside, though now they're probably bitching about her all they want without cameras lol.

Estelle's got the majority of pix... just sayin' and she topped and tailed the gallery. Stacey? Nope. Ben the winner isn't even the opening frame. snigger.

Dunno if Nine love her but Southern Star certainly do xx

Can you post a link please, would love to see them!

Still upset Stella didn't win.

Good to know that Stacey is still as obnoxious and as rude as ever. I hope she doesn't expect a career in the media, because no sane person would want to hire and work with somebody like that.

She thrives on attention, whether good or bad and putting out that photo just confirms it. The worst thing for her will be to fade into obscurity now, and it's going to be inevitable.

Was interesting in a break at Uni today. One of the girls asked if anyone watched Big Brother. She said she was glad Ben won and I just rolled my eyes or something to make it apparent I didn't approve. She goes, "you didn't like Estelle did you?"
"There's nothing wrong with her, she seems like a nice normal girl. Ben on the other had, I couldn't stand him."
She asked why and yeah gave the usual run down of the stuff I have said on here a million times.

Honestly her reaction was, "i guess so." She clearly had never paid attention or put any thought or notice towards Ben's bad behavior at all. Which I think sums up a lot. I pointed out the bullying, how I think he's a sociopath, the compulsive lying the way he brought so much negativity into the house and towards people. I did this all quite quickly. She was literally just nodding as if it made sense having it explained. She had just never realized or heard it before.

I wonder if this is most people? I wonder if it says something about the way people view things. Their level of empathy. Not that the people that liked Ben were bad or condone it. They simply had a blind eye to it all.

Well when she said she interested to see where it goes with Ryan I was wrapped!! U can tell he would look after her! And that's what estelle needs!! Listen to me I sound obsessed haha I wish them all the best! Glad she said she wouldn't hook up with Michael! I wonder of her and Ryan did hook up last night as apparently there were a few hook ups with the housemates

I'm in eighth grade and this is exactly what I've been noticing among my peers. They tell me how they're so happy that Ben won etc etc then I tell them that Estelle should have won, Ben's a nasty person. They ALL agree that he's a nasty bully, but they say they like him anyway because he's funny or whatever. I got into an argument the other day when one of my classmates called Estelle a slut haha.

He very nearly did. Closest result in bb history at the time, sonia said. Him and Ben were both on 36% if I believe. He most definitely would have stayed if it was evict votes.

Wish Ryan stayed longer, we didn't really give him much of a chance hey?

But if he'd survived the eviction, Estelle would have been gone the following week instead of Sarah since she would not have had the super power that saved her from being nominated.

Even if she was nominated, not many were gonna save Sarah. Estelle had an okay fanbase at the time.

Good on you for standing up to them! Although make sure they don't start giving you the Ben treatment!

I wonder if in this day and age of so much fake and scripted reality TV. Yes most reality TV is scripted. That there could be a effect that people stop seeing the people on reality TV as real people. With real emotions. It's all just entertainment. When they watch the Real Housewives claw each others eyes out. Even though it's presented as reality and the writers don't get a credit (possibly soon to change). People know it's not real and don't treat it as real with real people. As a result when there's a show with real people, that isn't scripted like Big Brother. It just blends into the same viewing habit is as if it's fiction. So they don't think of the housemates as real people with real emotions.

It's probably like how I can watch Dexter and not think twice of the people he kills and like Dexter. It's not real.

Out of curiosity, How many Estelle fans watch much reality TV? Especially things like those pretend reality shows.

I don't really watch much else beyond Masterchef and Grand Designs.

It's why alot of ppl on this form are Estelle supporters, being big brother forum, we reflect on their behaviour and analyze it, whereas other people watch it half an hr and forget about what happened till next time they watch it, so they watch with that entertainment value in mind. They would rather have a person who's entertaining cos u enjoyed ur half hr....which makes sense I guess.

In saying that, Estelle did start getting alot of supporters on her side..she was leading easily with 24% of the votes, but her and Michael thing was both of their downfall, the sympathy people started gaining for her for the way she was treated, was lost straight away.
