...the cinemas at Blacktown and Penrith near me in NSW had only front row or the row behind left in seats to choose from... my brother and I were going to go but I didn't feel like sitting in the front row with 3D glasses on looking up David Tennants and Matt Smiths nostrils in 3D...... lol!... 3D boogas... methinks not!... lol!... apparently the seats were snapped up like no ones business... I will envy anyone that do manage to go to one of the screenings though... good luck peoples... cheers.

Some of the indie places, Classic/Palace have it too.

Can't believe the idiots didn't offer Goldclass. And Hoyts simply sucks, lack of info, only screening in the boondocks.

So Sticky, do you know about this site?

http://www.doctorwhosavetheday.com/#/home

It's made for that fantastic doc Who art work you did. Can you re-post that stuff it's awesome.

Anyway, if you contribute to that celebration site - you get secret preview clips revealed.

So if you didn't get tickets, at least you will have the secret clips, that art it's very cool.
The other contributions I have clicked on aren't a patch on your stuff. Cheers

Prequel!!!! omg watch it and be blown away!

'The Night of the Doctor'

...Will... that is brilliant!... it's great to see...
Paul McGann
...doing this... it certainly answers the question about the link between him and
John Hurt
...doesn't it?... a great find... thanks for sharing my friend... cheers.

...here is a video interview with Paul McGann at a Dr Who convention last month... they ask him about his time as The Doctor... he gives his opinion on Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor... very interesting indeed... cheers.

...I'm so glad that you reminded me about your original post kxk... thankyou very much for that... I had missed it... I went to the website and entered this image into it... (right click and click 'view image' or 'expand larger button' on the second link beneath each image to see both images larger)...

...the website wouldn't allow me to enter 'Australia' into the 'country location' box so I had to click on New Zealand to allow the image to be entered... what the hell?... lol!... once it downloaded I got the message that it has to go to the moderators of the website before it will be added... (I'm guessing that it probably 24 hours or whatever)... so I'll just have to wait and see if it gets in I suppose... lol!...

...I can't post this one on there though...

Oh cool Sticky.

Let us know when they give you secrets, as they will when they drool over your art work.
Damn shame they won't re-post the Esher thing, as that is just so perfect, but I love your 1st one too - I must look into doing nice prints for my wall, hmm.

And thanks for the mag links, I'm just loving all the 50th stuff, have you been following all the specials?

...oh yes... most definitely kxk... there was one on Fox the other night about the science of Dr Who where they had that asian scientist in the USA... (his name escapes me but he is great)... describing the science behind the 'wibbley wobbly timey wimey' stuff of Dr Who... it was so good... and yeah I sure will share anything that comes my way I promise you!... especially if after the 50th anniversary they then reveal the Christmas stuff when Matt Smith leaves and Peter Capaldi becomes the new Doctor... (I'm soooooo hoping that Peter Capaldi gets a new Tardis interior when it changes to him... I hate the current one lol!)...

...so yeah... great times ahead methinks... (did you see the Paul McGann interview in my previous post?... geez he would be good as the next Doctor for when Capaldi eventually leaves in my opinion... perhaps he does a forward timeslide as a previous version of himself into a new regenerated version of himself?... too much wishful thinking perhaps on my part?)...

...by the way... both of those images that I did above would blow up to reasonably sharp and detailed posters because I did them in a pretty high resolution format... (I'm about to do that for myself in the near future at a local printers soon) ... I can't wait for next week when the show comes back... again thanks for the heads up with that website kxk... cheers.

The collections of all the 50th stuff should be good.
Specials I have seen, Explaining the Doctor (history of the show, awesome); Doctor Science (fox one- but on ABC); Companions - awe.

Very excited about Hurt, and about the coming of Capaldi.

Paul McGann is adorable, he has lovely kind grey eyes too. I love that DW is a family, nobody ever really leaves.

And - will see you back here Sunday 24th???:):):)And around before then of course:)

...awwww... I so can't wait for the show to happen... even though I've always been so critical in the past of Steve Moffatt's handling of the show since taking over from Russell T Davis I must say that it looks like he's done a brilliant job on the celebration of Doctor Who's 50th from all of the snippets that I've seen up until now... a great find kxk... cheers.

So excited. I love Paul McGann. Couldn't be happier he got his own blockbuster mini-episode. And we got more fun leading up to the special.

And Sticky, your artwork just tops it off. So well done.

It's great being a DW fan any time, but especially in 50th anniversary year.

Ooo this is fun - so much Doc Who stuff to catch up on

There are pop up shops!!!!
Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne

And Sticky have you seen this website? Possible movie ticket finder

...those shops look like I could spend a $1000 in 10 minutes in there !... lol!... and... I had seen that website kxk... to quote myself here...

...I've given up in regards to watching it on the big screen... I'll just have to watch it on my TV just like the rest of the mere mortals lol!...

...thanks Nutmeg... that is very kind of you my friend...I'm glad that you like them... and you're right about the Paul McGann mini-episode... that was brilliant!...

...do you know what?... I really can't think of another TV show that captures my mind as much as Doctor Who does for me... I remember when as a kid in London sitting down with my mum / dad / brother and sister to watch 'this new space show' as someone described at the time... I was 10 years old on November 23, 1963... then later on going to see the first ever 'Doctor Who and the Daleks' movie on the big screen in 1965... great memories indeed!...

...Doctor Who as always been part of my life and I really hope that it will never end... not in my lifetime at least... I wouldn't know what to do!... lol!... cheers.

I appreciate the contributions from all you guys, it really adds to the excitement.

ABC are showing the dramatisation about Doctor Who's origins next Sunday too.

It is magical.
It isn't just a TV show.
It gives me great hope - it is intelligent and classy, and has always been so without fail, and that is so rare in anything let alone mass media, to be 50 and just increasingly fantastic, it is a stunning achievement - more like books.

I guess I was about 8 when it was my brother's obsession, grey, cardboard corridors, people running, old men is what I recall - and we all agreed we would avoid the news on ABC until 7pm.
I would never really get too interested until the wild woman companion, I loved her, and the Esher stuff - and Peter Davison, then I got properly interested I loved Peter.

When I was studying philosophy my professor was a pom, and he claimed a lot of the writers on DW were sacked/redundant philosophers who had their academic career killed by Thatcherism.
Meglos nutmeg, any other fans do you have movie tickets???

...I've entered that image onto their website 3 times now and have received no reply or acknowledgement that I've ever posted it so I'm guessing that either they haven't accepted it because it's not up to scratch or are inundated with a lot of people doing similar to me or perhaps I'm stuffing up something this end lol!...

...another thing... that website is impossible to navigate to be able to find anything that you have downloaded... all you can do is put your own name in 'search' which yields nothing at all or click on one of the points of the Tardis that is slowly being constructed every time that people add something... that's an extremely time consuming process to bother about...

...anyhow... just thought I'd give you an update on proceedings... cheers.

...from this website... http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/doctor-who-x-factor-viral-2514140 ... the 'Mirror' newspaper published these old rare photos of previous Doctor Who's... I just thought that I'd share them...

...I thought that you'd like the Peter Davison one kxk lol!... also within that same link it names David Tenant as the most popular Doctor ever... unfortunately for you kxk Peter only came in at a mere 2%... but don't worry... YOU are amongst that 2% so he he was exclusively yours kxk!... (did that make you feel better?... lol!)... my Favourite has always been David Tenant... Rose and Donna were equally my most favourite companions... didn't those two Daleks looked raggedy and beaten up a bit?... cheers.

Aww, Peter was so cute wasn't he, mm. Fine, fine actor - I adore everything he's ever done, but especially the Last Detective

What the hell are those bug hairy blob monsters - with rather handsome young men inside?

And Sarah Jane's round cheeks, I loved her 2nd time around not so much originally she seemed a bit prissy.
