Trailer looks spectacular, and I'm sure it's going to be great! But i can't see them being able to flesh out many of the reported characters and have an engaging story in 75 minutes. Oh and can we go a few years without Daleks please?

So have we heard what cinemas going to be showing the 50th here yet???

The 3D at 5am thing will be happening somewhere, and I will be there in my pjs.

So, Doctor Who, 50th anniversary 3D, is going to be at both Hoyts & Village.

Village is coming up as screening 10.30am & 4pm Nov 24th
Hoyts no times just says 23 November.

So don't know if we get the simulcast in cinemas yet, I'm assuming so - what time would that be here?

Who's the old dude?

That is John Hurt. A mystery to be revealed

From left to right, Matt Smith 11th Doctor, David Tennant 10th Doctor, John Hurt ???Doctor, from the Doctor's tomb.....spooky death doctor, I have no idea?????
I don't try to unravel anything, just let it come at me:)
Theories are sure to be out there amongst Whovian speculators.

We glimpsed John Hurt in the last episode to air.........when the doctor travelled to his own tomb, and that is about all we know

I see I didn't think there'd be a old doctor! Then again I've never really watched to show so wasn't certain.

Try it Consuela, please..........I'm sure you will love it. It is the best TV show ever made.

They are screening these The Doctor Explained shows, check it out on the ABC catch up site, it's an excellent explanation of DW roots and evolution.
There have been 11 Doctors, they regenerate into new actors - pretty handy. The first Doctors were old. They have been getting younger and sexier with the new series that began in 2005.

2005-2013 The series are fantastic, like movies. And because the Doctor can go anywhere in space and time, it can be cute and whimsical/sweet or terrifying.
It is Brit TV at it's finest:)

Sorry I don't think so but you can go see the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular which is to once again take place in Australia, with three concerts to take place during January and February next year in Melbourne and Queensland, and the possibility of further performances in New Zealand.

Plenary Hall, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

8th February - Queensland Symphony Orchestra
Brisbane Entertainment Centre

I saw it at the Opera House in December last year. It was great! GO!

I AM going to this in Melbourne in January :D WWWEEEeeeeeee ooooooooooooooo :D

Are you planning on watching the simulcast from a cinema Medusa?

And that reminds me, I better call my DW loving friend and book some gold class tickets.

Not long till the 50th, and how nicely timed to fill some Bb void:)

Are you all watching the little specials the Doctor Explained?

...kxk... Consuela... this guy on this website...

http://www.hypable.com/2013/10/30/john-hurt-doctor-who-mystery/

...has put up a pretty reasonable theory as to who John Hurt is portraying in regards to being The Doctor... what the guy says makes sense to me... I hope that it helps... cheers.

...the cinemas at Blacktown and Penrith near me in NSW had only front row or the row behind left in seats to choose from... my brother and I were going to go but I didn't feel like sitting in the front row with 3D glasses on looking up David Tennants and Matt Smiths nostrils in 3D...... lol!... 3D boogas... methinks not!... lol!... apparently the seats were snapped up like no ones business... I will envy anyone that do manage to go to one of the screenings though... good luck peoples... cheers.

:):):) Got my tickets.

As everywhere has sold out. They had to put some sessions on for the Monday, won't last long.
