Me and my partner were thoroughly annoyed at the over use of the sonic screwdriver during the cube episode, I had to stop myself from jumping out of the seat and yelling at the screen "ALL THAT AND IT'S FIXED IN 2 SECONDS?!?!?!", it really has become a crutch for lazy script writing.

Ughhhh, I hate the split season thing going on, they needed to leave it the way it was and not touch torchwood after children on earth, WTF was that last bit of tripe.

I saw the last season of Torchwood and I was like WTF? It was like a totally different show. Why the hell did they do that to it? Was it something to do with US audiences? If so, they need to send it back to Cardiff.

<sob> Ianto...I miss Ianto.

On of the most moving death scenes ever, DAMMIT JOHN BARROWMAN, WHY U NO LIKE GIRLS!

he he..I love Barrowmans attitude. More than a bit of it spills over into Jack...although Jack wouldn't care. Being kinda humanioid looking would be close enough for Jack. He cracks me up.

He is a try-sexual Jack is, on the plus side the new companion (if she is anything like the first ep) seems to have the same sort of personality as Jack did in who, much more impressive then Amelia (I refuse to call her Amy, that is an insult to the name lol)

That last series of Torchwood was mostly funded by an American TV network, that's why it was so America-centric with the characters, story and production style. Definitely a big misfire.

But how awesome would it be if Captain Jack makes an appearance on DW and meets Matt Smith's Doctor :)

LOL, I'm assuming you know someone special called Amy? I'm interested in seeing how they work the new companion in too and why they would use the same actress in an an episode from the current season. There must be a reason, nothing ever happens on DW without a reason. I already like her though, I was impressed by her earlier role.

It seems illogical that an American network would fund a British tv show and then Americanise it. You'd think if they were spending big money on it, it would be because it already had something special...but then to turn it into an american show where the only recognisable feature of the original show is three actors and a couple of place names thrown around..it doesn't make sense. If they thought they could do it better then they'd be wrong. (I hope that doesn't sound like I don't believe you because I know you're correct in what you've said)

Jack has met two doctors hasn't he? Didn't he first appear with Christopher Eccleston? Yeah he did, I remember now, Rose made him immortal in the same episode the 9th doctor regenerated. It would be a really strange for someone to know three doctors! The 10th doctor remembered him, no reason the 11th shouldn't too. It would be pretty cool.

Lol, well I am pretty special! :p

Also, appart from River and the weeping angels, Moffat has said (I think) that his series will not be referencing back to rtd's initial 4, im sorry but moffat is the worst thing that has ever happened to dr who, and this is coming from a fan of his older work like coupling.

LOL, Americans do this all the time - watch EPISODES, shows you how it's done and is very amusing

Jack first appears in The Empty Child, that gasmask episode set during the war. Moffat wrote it, but RTD created Cpt Jack, I think the doctor could do with some fun with Jack

And some people say Oswin is based on Jane from coupling

["Doctor Who: Series 7 – Part 1 will be one of the first BBC Worldwide DVDs and Blu-rays enabled with UltraViolet, allowing viewers to download a digital copy."]

["The UV system was set up to track and prevent online piracy, as well as boosting sales, and was introduced to the UK last December. It will mean fans, using a special code, can download episodes of series 7 onto as many as 12 devices, as well as receiving a physical copy as a DVD or Blu-ray. Until now, digital copies of episodes have only been available as separate purchases through interfaces like iTunes."]

["Claude London, Digital Director for BBC Worldwide Consumer Products, says:"]

["The initial batch of UV-enabled releases hitting shelves in time for Christmas will be: Doctor Who: Series 7 – Part 1; Rollercoaster, a new stand-up show from John Bishop; a Top Gear special; and Attenborough: 60 Years in the Wild."]

["Backed by Warner Bros., Sky, Fox, LoveFilm, and many more, the UV scheme utilises both streaming and download, so fans can watch their favourite show online and offline. Further Doctor Who releases are expected to include UltraViolet, including Series 7 – Part 2."]

["Doctor Who: Series 7 – Part 1 will be available on DVD and Blu-ray from 29th October."]

Howcome the australian market can't support something like Ultraviolet?

Mistress Anonymia - I am very, very glad that you chose a pic with their eyes covered. The angels in full fright scared the bejesus out of me!
