First episode of the new series will be called
Asylum of the Daleks
I wish they stopped bringing them back. Have they paid for a license and now obligated to use them every season?

I want to see new villians, or old villians from the dr. who's back catalogue.

Unfortunately that is true in part. To use the Daleks in the new Dr. Who they had to pay the estate of the late Terry Nation the creator of them Daleks. Part of that is that they have to appear in every series of Dr Who...... Sucks doesn't it?

Because no matter how lame brained the idea they have to appear in every series.

I hadn't seen that before, thanks wynter.

I haven't watched the extra features on the DVD's yet, apart from series one.

It works very well, they probably cut it for time because it's all in context. Loved the flashback to the old companions (minus "the metal dog").

Well that sucks :( maybe they should do longer seasons then!

Surely they could renegotiate with the estate as bringing them back every series takes away the surprise/fear/dread this enemy should create. You can't kill them off satisfactorily in one episode too without feeling cheap.

Daleks don't have to appear in every series of Doctor Who, it's more of a creative choice than an obligation.

The new story will feature every type of Dalek, I hope that means they'll write out the new day-glo chunky ones for good.

Maybe the traditional Daleks will fight it out with the day-glo ones ..... "you are not pure Dalek" zap zap

Last years' series didn't have any Dalek episodes did it? This was Steven Moffat about a year ago...

Ah.........But towards the end of the series when the Doctor is trying to find out why people want him dead he walks into some kind of bar asking for someone, and plants a Dalek eyestalk on the counter to get the barkeeps attention, that he is serious.... So like I said however lame they or part of them appear in nearly every series.

Ah well, I'm happy we managed to get a whole year without any proper Dalek episodes. And this one does sound interesting.

LOL

I had a Doc Who dream. I dreamt the opening of the London Games - it was all Doc Who and the TARDIS; they would pop into the TARDIS and pop out to a scene; and it just kept going like that, in and out of the TARDIS to new UK scenes.
