I wish I was watching it tonight.

(I mean I saw it ages ago, I wish that excitement was still to come, because it's FANTASTIC)

Tonight- 'The Big Bang'- Season finale

Well this is it folks.... I have not watched this online, but I did read some spoilers;

Following from the cliffhanger of the previous episode, the Doctor is sealed in the Pandorica, a prison designed for him by his greatest foes and baited by elements of Amy's childhood imagination, while River Song is trapped in the TARDIS as it explodes, triggering the end of the universe.

I lost contact with this season at Episode 5 and tried to catch up - but didn't generate that much interest. I watched the ending tonight and thought that Moffat has gone with less flair and style and more scientific-sounding gibberish. The ending for me was just too much and all a bit silly. I never thought I'd say this - I don't think I'll miss Doctor Who and I don't know if I'll watch next year.

On reflection, it's not Matt Smith and it's not Karen Gillan (though Rory shits me). It's the repetition of the shape of the seasons in the New Who - the big question at the start, then some far fetched nonsense way of resolving it at season's end. I thought last season's conclusion was pretty disappointing and stupid, with the evil and one dimensional Time Lords, and this season it's worse.

I have very mixed feelings after now seeing the final episode.....

BIG QUESTION Is the Rory at the wedding reception still a Nestene or plane old human Rory because how in the hell did he remember the Doctor and saving the universe?

This is the problem for me. Too much gobbledegoo. It's starting to sound like Lost.

I liked it :) When they were all in the museum & "young" Ameila vanished cos she no longer existed, didn't Amy ask the DR why they were still there & he said cos they were all anomalies & that's why Rory also remembered bits too.

And I quite like Rory. My fav. bit was when the Dr appeared at their wedding & Amy wanted to kiss him, the Dr put his finger to her lips as in "sssshhh" & then wiped his finger on Rory! I PMSL!! But cheesy humour is my style :D

What an american Doctor Who movie might be like.. At least they have a Brit. Apparently there have been rumors of an american version film with Johnny Depp, but it sounds like complete BS to me. There's no need to make one so I don't believe it.

That said, imaging Stathom as the Doctor could be kind of cool.

Ooh I love that.

I want to see the Jason Strathom Doctor in action....

and with the TARDIS he really could be "The Transporter" :D

Nice!

In the transporter films he rarely if at all uses a gun, so him as the docotr kicking ass when need be. Fighting daleks and cybermen with fire hoses and paint cans, sliding around in pools of oil ect..

Confirmed guest stars for the xmas special (which will be a reworking of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol") are singer Katherine Jenkins & the guy who is Dumbledore in Harry Potter.

Gee "A Christmas Carol" How original........ Reworking or not really . The specials seem to lack something err "special" these days.

I love the Chrissie specials, especially the Catherine Tate bride one.

I found this series........underwhelming, it doesn't have the same zip. I love the new guys, but I miss DT.

Did they cut the budget or something? Nothing seemed as extravagant and exciting.

Yeah that was my favourite of the Christmas specials...... But I'm a little miffed that they are reworking an existing story for this one.. One that's been frankly done to death by everyone.
