I hate it when people make sweeping generalisations. It is the national Party (centre right) in power in NZ, in coalition with a party further right and a party further centre. Yet I freely put up a graph that showed that it is a country rated more democratic than Australia and the USA.

ikr? I went and found the second screen shot just to verify it was legit. Apparently he was fired from Trump's first administration after attending a white nationalist conference. Now that kind of thing counts as a plus on your resume.

This is sickening. No surprises though, Trump not only wants to "clear out" Gaza, he says the US will take over the territory and rebuild it. You can be sure it'll be full of Trump hotels and resorts, too. Trump and Netanyahu on stage gloating about this is this most hideous spectacle I've ever seen on the world stage.

Both Biden and Kamala were for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza. You need to get off the team politics view of American politics, both sides are fucked. Biden was trying to get Egypt to take the Palestinians in. While he was funding, arming and directly participating in making Gaza inhospitable.

The only benefit of Trump is that he just more directly states how awful America is, which allows for people to more easily counter it. The hypocrisy of people who don't care when the other side has the same policies is what annoys me. All those protests against Genocide in Gaza didn't just start two days ago. This is a long term thing that has been happening.

Yeah I know. It was leading right into the election though so zero surprise there at all.

I wonder if the rest of the world could step up and fund the reconstruction in Gaza to stick it to Trump/Netanyahu though. Unlikely I suppose but it would be good. Send in the UN peacekeepers for the duration.

I don't think Elon and Trump will have a falling out.

I think what's happening is Trump is not all there mentally anymore. Probably early stages of dementia. You don't really see it in news clips because it's so edited down, but if you watch one of his speeches beginning to end, he can't maintain a coherent thought. Elon is taking advantage of Trump being cognitively disabled and his end-game is simply to make himself richer. It's elder abuse.
