Thanks Harley.
As a WAussie, it meant something to me. The Mickleberg story was as HUGE here in Perth as the Azaria case was several years earlier!

I lived in WA for about 12 years and love it, never meant to leave. That Mickleberg story was huge.
And I know a weirdo who reckons she knows where the goodies are, bottom of the sea, particular spot...........

He isn't and wasn't a minor celebrity. He was a MAJOR celebrity and a very entertaining character and a tough interviewer.

Joyce Jacobs - Esme Watson from A Country Practice passed away on Sunday aged 91.
Jacobs, who played the town gossip Esme Watson, had battled Parkinson's disease for more than a decade. Jacobs had been quite ill for some time and had been devastated by the loss of her husband Ian, to whom she had been married for 64 years.

Saw that this morning. So sad. As much I love Krabappel nice that they're going to retire her character.
Jam
I don't like it
OMG
Lou Reed, 71. Cause of death unconfirmed, but he had a liver transplant 6 months ago
Poor Lou. Certainly not a minor celeb, though.

The Walk on the Wildside album was one of my first ever purchases.
Saw him in concert in Perth when he had given up the smack - but a percentage of the audience were dribbling.
Couple of junkies staggered about trying to steal seats, our included.
He was fabulous, and we were close enough in the 2nd row to touch him almost.
We have an ironic title for this thread
