If that's the truth re the school allowing it they MUST be lacking in staunch Catholic ideology. (blasphemy!!) What her family thinks, is irrelevant unless they are the Diocese who call the shots at the school.

My fave part of the whole year was dave sitting in the spa and priya sitting up, eight inches higher than him taking the high moral ground, and acting as uf he was a recalcitrant student being iffended in him saying she us condecending ....her whole body language is condecending ...loved it

i remember student teaching in a Catholic school when the nuns would ask the children what they wanted to be when they grew up and were old enough to make their own path in life; what with all its decisions and options. One blonde pigtailed girl was so eager to share her envisioned career choice more than the others that she raised both arms awaiting to be called.
The nun addressed her as Carol and quizzed her about "15 years from now".. and the young lass shouted " im going to be a prostitute!"
To which the white faced nun screeched "" WHHAAAAATTT??"
Only to hear the young lass repeat " a prostitute ".
The nun quickly composed herself and said, " thank God, i thought you said you wanted to become a protestant".

I've got to say this is a pretty silly argument on both sides.

We have people here who have masters, doctorates, etc that are the stupidest people I have ever met. Absolutely no common sense, no "street smarts" and no interest in learning the simplest task as it is beneath them.

ETA: My point being basing someone's intelligence on how many degrees they have is idiotic.

Ryan is next to David in the bedroom, when Tom is talking about being called that guy.

Yep, Priya is right, Ryan is pissed off with David for not saving him etc. #end sarcasm.

There is an unflattering perception of Mexicans/'Latinos' in Australia but none of it that originates from here, it's all imported from the mass producer of World Popular Culture, the States.

Unfortunately shows from the US regularly mock and/or portray latinos in an unflattering light (ie. Simpsons 'el cheapo' etc..., hispanics cast as crooks, shifty neighbours, gangbangers, etc.. in films and rarely as 'neutral' characters) and dolts who find it to hard to engage their brains here in Australia go on to unquestionably parrot that idiocy.

For example Jason was channeling his inner incompetent Manuel (a Catalan/Spanish character from Fawly Towers, an English comedy) for the hotel task and there were posters here who immediately assumed he was going for a blue-collar minimum wage Mexican character. *sigh*
