I totes think big brother and survivor are alike.
outwit outplay outlast!!!!
outwit outplay outlast!!!!
Woah! That's how it worked for Lourdes and Rocco, although the latter child literally SLIPPED OUT like I was an attraction at WET 'N WILD.
Woah!
I wish.
I felt my vaginal passage crunching as my kids heads came out
EW!!!!!! Oh I know! I went on a cruise and was disgusted by the amount of people just hanging to get in the spa! Not to mention the crack muck floating around!Yesyes, especially when 10 people are jammed in it, anyone for skin flake/hairy/sweaty/toejam soup? YUUKK
Just like Benjamin and Tim. If you don't manipulate you will be manipulated. And her lying & manipulation.
Wait, what? Since when is David a brainiac?
Good points. I think the no manouvering was seen last year when Tim was afraid of Ben winning. I remember him saying that he was only afraid of Ben. It was hard for him to do anything to outplay him. There is no blind sides in Big Brother. If someone is a threat to you (because you suspect they have massive outside support), there's no manoeuvring that can get them out, if they're number one in popularity it doesn't matter who they're up against.
One thing I think people underestimate is how much of the game is played in the diary room. It's not like Survivor where confessionals come out when the game is over, the diary room entries are part of the game too, so whatever your plan is, you can't tell Big Brother about it either or else your voters find out too (especially in a game where you have to pretend not to play).
Sorry, you're right. I just got owned.isnt he a radiologist?
"To become a radiologist you must first obtain a medical degree and then undertake further training - it can take over 14 years to become fully qualified.
Medical Degree (4-6 Years)
Internship (1 Year)
Resident Medical Officer (at least 1 Year)
Registrar to Physician and Fellow (at least 5 Years)
he is far more brainiac than priya.
Yeah, she just gushed. She was happy for herself. She wasn't trying to put anyone else down. Ryan probably put the thought in Tom's head.I've seen a TV replay and Skye didn't jump up.
He's a bit of a rude c*nt.Tom is going out of his way to pick fights with Skye and showing her in a bad light, especially because he knows she can't articulate her arguments. DON'T LIKE TOM!
True that! haha. He's not very good at making people look stupid is he, as hard as he tries he comes off as total douche. A real shame BB doesn't have vote to evict sometimes, they'd earn a fortune.Skye is literally shitting on Tom during this argument, proves HIS lack of intelligence.
Totally!! But like someone said earlier in this thread something to the likes of "uh oh, Priya has drunk eyes". Too true in the end heh.Dave and Priya have a friendship, and they both had some valid points in what they were saying. What I don't get is why the automatic denial; why can't either of them, for one minute, consider that maybe there's some truth to what the other is saying?
If my mate told me I was being condescending, I'd at least give it some thought that maybe I was coming across that way.
There there.Kinda want to vote for Tom after this episode.
Funny shit. By the sounds of it she was gaping at them, I didn't notice that much with her looking round though I noticed a smile and a glance, but they probably chose a better angle to make it look less bad and pin blame on Ryan"I just want to say to them I love your lipstick colour". Wow Skye.
I know. Excruciating thinking about it. I might just land up and feel C'est la vie about it after Tom & Richard are out.sadly i really dont think i have decided anyone i really firmly want to win at this stage
yes tom your "that guy" lmfao
As a fan of both shows, but a fan of Survivor first, I feel like they're very different games. Big Brother is essentially a game of politics, with the viewers as your voting public. It's about baiting people into conversations that make them look bad to the viewers, about making them commit to attitudes that you know won't be sustainable for 80 days, about crafting a persona for yourself that appeals to the broadest audience while picking holes in everybody else's. Like politics, it's about flinging shit without getting any on yourself. There's a small amount of alliance making I suppose but I don't think it takes you very far, because you don't need numbers. At best it stops you from being a nominee enough that it buys you time to work some magic (and stops you from financially tapping out your fan base too early).
In fact, while I used to think Big Brother was just a popularity contest and Survivor was a better game show, I've come around to the idea that Big Brother is actually a harder game to play, because there's just so little under your control and so few ways to win. There is no blind sides in Big Brother. If someone is a threat to you (because you suspect they have massive outside support), there's no manoeuvring that can get them out, if they're number one in popularity it doesn't matter who they're up against. All you can do is bait them into controversial arguments to divide their support. Hey Skye, what's your opinion on abortion? She's pro-choice, the anti-abortion part of her fanbase falls away. She's anti-abortion, the pro-choice part of her fanbase falls away. She doesn't go strongly either way, she's a fence-sitter. She avoids the question, she appears weak for dodging the question. She criticises the question for being too serious, she's naive and immature. You're winning no matter the outcome.

Sorry for my long posts, need an editor![]()
Oh no there's definitely similarities though and I'm a big fan of both shows. Being liked in the house makes a big difference because it buys you time. Like if you're hated on the outside it'll catch up to you eventually, but it gives you time to grow on people.ok maybe i shouldnt of said very much like - but it to me still shares some similarities, like having to have some alliances, or at least have people like u to a degree so they either dont vote u off or in the other case, put u up for eviction. and both games have to involve strategy/thinking by the player, keeping in mind pleasing other teammates, or the viewers, (hope BB isnt editing u too much swaying the viewing voting public against u). both games u have to work out the opposition, and how they tick. but i do enjoy both games and appreciate their differences. also now getting sucked into the Big Adventure show as well

I think the diary room is a huge part too - especially the new BB. Your most important relationship in the house might be with BB himself - which also kind of becomes your relationship with the viewer. Tim, and Michael the year before, both had great BB relationships, and Priya does this year. I personally like it when the HMs tell BB their strategies but not the other housemates. I like to see the schemer side of people. That's actually when I like Priya most - when she's being open about playing some games in there like when she was trying to manipulate Katie about the money way back in the beginning.
haha I don't even know why they need to wear a gold lanyard - its not like any of the HM's or BB staff & going to say 1/2 way through the week, "Oh, wait, who's the HoH again ???"
Awww that's cute, but no.I wasn't sure where to write this or if anybody else has mentioned it, but, Lina kind of reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence / Katniss everdeen
...anybody?
