Episode Day 60 (6/11/14) Daily show and nominations

I've said it before but I don't think Skye had anywhere to go but down. The early favourites don't win BB because with time they either stuff up or others surpass them. She peaked too early. Every HM coming out of the house is saying the same thing about her: We're not being shown the real Skye, she's very hard to live with and she's putting on the cutesy bimbo act and playing up to the cameras. At first her fans were dismissing those evictees as "haters" but Marina and Aisha have now said the same thing and they most definitely don't fall into that category, Aisha especially.
It'll be interesting to see what happens after their family/friends nominate for them this week. That's when they need to take that info and make a move to do their best to make the finale. A few of them are focused on the completely wrong things and getting distracted exactly when they shouldn't be.

One wonders what we have missed with Ryan without having any feeds this year. I would like to see more footage of him just "off the cuff", and see uncontrived casual scenes to see if he really has some hidden nasty streek that has not been exposed to us.
Right now though I think he'd make for boring footage, just "playing it safe" bullshit and just being the nice guy..
I wonder if he has shown Lena and Penny and the boys the frozen chicken yet. Ha
But yeh, I think Skye is gonna steal the limelight with all her dramas this week. Teflon will just float along

I started this season off on a sour note with Prisus.. I thought she'd be one of the first few to go actually, what with her very difficult time in the first week with Kate. She really did terribly with that power.. What was it, $5,000 each ?
Now that leads me to the topic of how they spent their money. 90% of people here immensely disliked that Aisha & Travis didn't take the money & go. My curiousity is, what would you have done in that first week in the Big Brother house. Would you take the money and withhold that food n drink n deserts to your new fellow housemates ?
The decision Priya took was highly annoying in my mind, but hey everyone is different, some of you maybe would maybe buy food for yourself and a select pal and screw the rest
haha .. She was leading Kate and stringing her along there and Kate got all the blame for it. That was badly handled.. If she'd done a Tim there she would so totally have nailed it..
So Priya began the show on a pretty negative note for me. But she has managed to elevate and redeem herself over time in the show. There's nobody quite like her in the house that is actually sane, she is like the anchor on a wild sea... When she was in the sanctuary it really felt like something was missing in the house and I'm glad that she's back. I'd be upset if she left more than most, even though I'm not sure if I want her to win.
I'll be impressed if she shows another side of herself this week, besides being the advice momma to everyone, that's getting kind of old. Show us something meaningful, spiritual, moving perhaps and I may lean her way ftw.

BB facebook built it up to be some big drama but I don't think we found out if Skye was that upset about it, maybe because David has said sorry to her, and it was for a task.
I think BB will make up for it by having her mum and/or sister come into the house during the freeze task, especially since they don't live far from Dreamworld...plus will probably be there for nominations

I thought Skye got the most useful result. She achieved her goal of saving Aisha and got to see virtually every HMs postion on the board.
i must confess that skye has worn a bit thin with me as well.
for one, the confidence is really annoying. if there is one thing i cant stand, its a young woman with confidence
i also am getting sick of her constantly approaching people and confronting them face to face, head on with her grievances. i mean, seriously skye. why invite open one-on-one conflict like that? imo its more adult to smile at them, talk about it with your mates, and avoid the possibility of conflict. just act nice ffs. if you really need to tread into a conflict, at least do it in a group setting like a grown up!
another huge gripe of mine is how she deals with leo. she has considered 'dumping' him just like she dumped jake when he started sniffing around lisa. just pick a guy and stick with him, skye. she has openly doubted leos true feelings for her (and even asked him about it!), questioned him about kissing sandra, has suggested numerous times that they arent a serious item, told him she voted for priya, then had the gall to get uppity with him when he got annoyed with her for it. look skye, hes a good-looking guy! what the hell are you thinking? if he wants you to act a certain way or do something, just do it! the coy games and the keeping at arms distance is a bit to 'free love' for me or something. just be a couple already. its what leo wants and its what we expect. you cant do this on your own!
then of course there is the strategising. i know, i know... david and priya make strategy a point of pride. but skye... its just not on. you arent as smart as them so it just comes off as fake. except when you nominate. youre obviously smart when you nominate. but thats what makes you fake. i think.
oh who am i kidding. skye is the greatest housemate to have ever walked through those gates. she is owning this game like a boss, and no amout of condescending and dismissive posts are going to derail skye or the support she earns. you guys see what you want to see in those 15 second clips, thats pretty obvious. but prepare to suck on sour grapes, cos sweet little skye is about to take this one home

Ha ha, very clever post! Although I'm not that keen on Skye, she certainly has some appealing qualities and has delivered a lot of entertainment. If she gets into the final 2, I also believe she will win no matter who she is up against, unless its Priya. Not meaning to be sexist, ageist or anything else, but she could get a lot of support as an 'female underdog' in the final two, and if there has been any recent 'fall from grace' in viewers eyes, it could actually save her. If she's against Priya, votes for a female to win will be void. While Priya has many admirable qualities, Syke has delivered more entertainment value. I like David the most for being himself (I'm a really good judge cos I know him personally, not
) but he doesn't deliver many antics.

I think that all of them, would have taken the $10,000 each in the first week. Priya most definitely manipulated Katie into going along with her. But that said, Katie had her own mind and was able to make her own choice. She could have said NO, I dont think she took much persuading, I just think she wanted a reason not to look greedy, to the other housemates, or had someone else to blame, if it backfired on them. Its now been that long ago and we get such fragmented footage from the house, in the minimal hours that they put it to air, that its all been forgotten now.
I personally WOULD have taken it and I wouldnt have given in to the other housemates sense of entitlement and paid the exorbitant prices for food and drink etc, but I'm a thick skinned old bastard and what they threw at me, would have been water off a bulls back
. Having watched all the BB series, I would know that it had put a target on my back, as regards the next nominations, but I would have said its a game, we dont know who is going to be offered what, next week. It defeated their reasons for taking the money, once they started spending it. I thought it was pathetic to buy immunity for one more week, it showed that they didnt have much confidence in their own ability to get very far in the game. As for Aisha and Travis, at their ages, I thought they made a stupid short sighted decision not to take the $50,000. I thought Aisha was pretty selfish, because she knew that she was already going to be walking out with at least $20,000 courtesy of Lawson. With her wearing the trousers in the Traisha fauxmance, Travis was easily persuaded, that it was a lot more fun in there. Duh, I'm sure I could have had a lot more fun spending $25,000 or $45,000. They gave their reasons for not taking the money, as money couldnt buy the BB experience, but they had ALREADY enjoyed the BB experience, a lot more than Gemma did. The brainless duo, couldnt work out that there would only be one ultimate winner of BB and with the rate that the prize pool was diminishing, there might not be too much left, for the eventual winner. Travis's ego has him thinking that he can win BB 2014, if only he knew how close he had been, to having the least number of saves, some weeks.
Priya has, in my opinion, had her game face on since week 1. I have no arguments about that, but she showed a nasty controlling, manipulating streak and was always looking for people to form alliances with and with Jason, she had the perfect foil, to courier the gossip, back and forth between all 4 corners of the house. I was surprised that he was evicted as early as he was, I thought he was way more entertaining than Teflon, who we didnt even know was still in the house. I thought the relationship that he struck up with Dion, was one that would endure on the outside, they genuinely looked like they were enjoying each others company, especially in the dance contest.
As to the eventual winner, I dont really care any more, as long as it ISN'T Teflon. It wouldnt bother me if Priya won, because she has played them like a violin. Personally, I would like to see Dave win now, but his downfall is trusting Teflon. Teflon would throw him under a bus to save himself and certainly wouldnt have been giving any thoughts as to where Dave was on the nominations board this week, like Dave was looking out for him. He had to endure the first few weeks of being the odd one out, I think people are only gravitating towards him now, because they realise that he must have some sort of a following, on the outside, because they probably thought he would be the next one to go, after Gemma and yet he will still be there for the last week, by the look of it. Anyway with no programme until Monday, if you read this far, its occupied 10 minutes of your life

I think she might have also won $5,000 on some task. I stand corrected, if I'm wrong. I think the screaming prize money is $195,000.

Any colour sponge, whether it be yellow, pink or brown, with some sort of filling, is referred to in the UK and OZ as a Swiss roll. But I'm not a Masterchef expert and have NEVER had the slightest inclination to want to taste vegemite. This should of course, have precluded me from ever getting my Australian naturalisation certificate
. Yours look just as good as ours anyway and I bet they taste as good as they look. Do you have carrot cake in your neck of the woods? One of these with a nice sour cream topping is yum also and we can kid ourselves that its healthy, because its got carrots in it

Carrot cake, yes but it usually with a cream cheese icing. Sour cream topping sounds interesting.
