Episode Day 31 (8/10/2014) Daily Show & Nominations

This was actually a pretty interesting episode other than it making me want to yell and throw things at the screen.

Sam's reaction to Big Brother asking him if he would act the same as Travis should a girl come to him crying was awful and I think truly demonstrates what an asshat he actually is.

Sam to GO!

What was this? I think I missed it?

It sounded like Lawson said he didn’t care, and Cat responded with something like “at least I know how you really think”. Then Jason reported back to the staff “he told her!” …which I took to be that it was about their relationship...

It was very quick (and I need to watch it again to be sure), but given this I wasn’t too surprised that Cat didn’t check his place on the nominations board.

I can't believe that they are advertising to expose what really happened with Cat and Lawson tomorrow. So that was like something that happened last friday and they wont show it until this Thursday?? they should just show it all at once so everything is actually in chronological order. plus knowing what "really" happened may have more affect on Cat getting evicted. If you are going to chop and change what you show then its actually impacting who is evicted.

Not to mention that showing week old footage tomorrow means that whatever is happening today will get less air time tomorrow!!

while I agree with your post.
Someone you know wants to get in/keep in shape. YOU DON'T give them choc on the pancakes. Did he send them back.

I need you to tell MrJones this whenever I tell him that I'm "Totally going to cleanse starting Monday!"

How dumb is this woman! Give four points to priya and 1 more point to Sam if you want to save travis ... But what a cow for putting priya up there! The next time she is up there, she better go! I can't with cat anymore.
It would of had the exact same outcome if she had of done it that way. Because Sam ended up on 6 and Priya on 7, so Sam would have ended up on 7 and Priya on 6 keeping Travis in also on 6.

I think this is my biggest issue tonight as well? I missed a bit of it and honestly I don't know what I thought of the whole drama but I feel like all in all they are actually perpetuating a pretty dangerous attitude. And maybe she did feel genuinely conflicted or confused about it all but I mean the editors decision to put that in, as well as the HMs reactions. They must have known what they're doing and for a show thats selling itself as 'family friendly' even though it starts near 9pm. I just think, its pretty bad to be modelling that, could be pretty dangerous in the long run.Nearly bleeds into victim blaming. I'm not saying thats what happened tonight, but I feel like that's what it could so easily turn into. Sorry I might be being an overanxious and very tired mum at the moment!! I definitely am. But from where I stand I never want my kids to feel bad for feeling bad, or feeling anything. We have emotions and feelings for a reason...don't shame them.

Sorry I haven't really said anything different just wanted to add my 2c, but I agree with everything you said!)
I just have to say those are the cutest little baby feet EVER in your avi pic!!! 👶

Oh and good post! ;)

I figured it was because of his “don’t care” comment toward her (flash-back while David was nominating). If their 'thing' isn't over, it at least appeared pretty rocky based on that comment (and Cat's response).

They seemed to be friendly on Tuesday night.

It was probably how the staff felt unappreciated by the guests.

Was Lawson always this snippy? I wonder if he's been like this all this time and we just weren't seeing much of it

No....We were being shown the good guy who willingly gave Aisha the $20,000 so she could travel and see the world. And when he was HOH, trying to save Cat from being in the red zone!!! I hope Cat goes next time she is up.

ha! Don't I look like a twat now! I have to admit that I'm the dumb one now 🫢

I totally agree with you about being careful about victim blaming and I felt quite upset watching this and seeing how she reacted afterwards. And of course she can vent her upset after the fact, particularly being in shock. But I also think its really important that people take at least some responsibility for situations and learn from them. She needs to learn how to tell other people no, and to take control of herself or people are going to walk over her for her whole life. It is certainly not right for him to have treated her like this (not trying to victim blame), but also, unfortunately, the world is full of people who will cross the line and be inappropriate to you. Its your responsibility to ensure that you have your boundaries and you assert them clearly. This is what she must learn, with reflection, from a situation like this. She is young though, so I recognise that it was difficult - it took a few situations like this to get through to me.
He was in the wrong though, and if he had been kind and paid attention to her reactions she would not have needed to even say no, he could have seen it from the way she was acting.

it was both of them though, why is priya not accountable. Sam seems to rough house with the girls, when he rough massaged Sandra in the lounge she nearly climaxed (yeah she nearly climaxes sniffing his leg sock but whatever), but all I'm hearing is how wrong sam was....priya was there too.

Oh - good point. Could be! I took it another way - which is why I wasn't surprised Cat didn't try to save him. Damn this guessing and trying to figure out their editing lol.

I guess because Aisha was blaming Sam mostly? And it looked like Priya was participating but she wasnt being rough, she was trying to
'soften it up a bit by taking shampoo out of her ears', and because she is closer to Aisha. She also wasn't being aggressive and weird, which makes all the difference in a 'prank'. There are some actions you accept from some that are completely unacceptable from others, and Aisha is obviously a lot closer to Priya than Sam. Also, Priya recognised almost immediately as Aisha left the room that she was upset and went straight away to apologise it seemed. That makes all the difference. She took full responsibility 'i was there, i should have stopped it, i knew what was happening and did nothing'. That is the important difference. Sam's apology was more like "sorry but your boyfriend is a tool".
