It's like they think the average viewer is too stupid to understand the difference between live content and recaps, so they just skip past the recaps and start the daily show highlights from after the already aired live content.

It ends up making it MORE confusing for the viewer. Fuck this shat. They did the same thing last year too. I can't recall this being a problem in 2012 though...
