You're opinion and like I said, that's okay I'm not expecting you to change it to please me. But to me (and many others) she came across as a superficial (i.e. infatuation with Ed is evidence enough) vapid (topics of conversation) dullard. I've come across plenty of Jades irl, they're a dime a dozen and nothing special.

Do you get why others saw her in this less 'flattering' light? Don't care either way but just because you had a 'positive' opinion of her doesn't mean everybody else (or the majority for that matter) felt the same way which is the impression I got from your post.

Last year I didn't really care either way, as long as she kept voting with Drew and Tim. I was indifferent. But, looking back, she seemed a step above any of these girls this year, being cast in a similar demographic. She wasn't bitchy, like Lisa, wasn't insecure (about her body) like Sandra, but her insecurity about her intellect came across as charming to me, because she didn't seem conceited, like many girls with the assets she had can do.

In terms of seeing her in an unflattering light, man, I hated Ed last year. Really hated him, and hated the fact that someone like Jade would chose him, -him, bloody Ed? - but, I thought she was a nice girl who was infatuated. It happens.

Dunno why you thought I thought everyone should have the same opinion about her as me. Cause I don't, which was why I prefaced my original comment with 'I think...'

As to the entitled thing, I don't even know if I was being sarcastic or sincerely thanking you for being polite. Too much AVClub today.

No we just have programs that are advertised to start at a specific time then run sometimes 27 minutes late....... Every fucking day of the week for 52 weeks a year. I'll take an overrun every now and than thanks to the NFL over the shitty Aussie way every bloody time.

Hey don't worry about it, I noticed that the last few pages the quoting has been screwed up. If you really want to let whoever it was that you quote know just tag them by putting an @ before their name.

EDIT: see this post is even screwed up.

I think that people would be screaming in the streets here if the tv schedule didn't run on time, other than due to emergencies or sporting events. The local new york city news station (new york 1) has weather on the 1s every ten minutes: you'd better believe they hit that on the dot all day long, except when they are doing some major emergency or other coverage. It is really hard to wrap my brain around Australian tv viewing habits. Very different than the U.S..

I agree. I thought that was really mean of the stylists to do that. I think Sandra would look stunning in one of the slinky numbers that they give the other girls to wear, and I can fully understand exactly how she felt. To be honest I would have reacted exactly the same way in her situation.
