Confessions and interesting facts about yourself

@MADONNA ... All you have is your thoughts although I did not know why I was 'locked in" at the time, so that was the scariest element of it. When they brought me out of it though, I was a changed person.

I've had open heart surgery and almost died during it

WOW. Did you have any "whitelight" type of experience?

I spent 29 days in a coma after a car accident.
OMG !! So glad you're here !

In 2009 when preg with my daughter my hubby got swine flu and it shut his body down. He had cardiomyopathy , was on dialysis and life support (induced coma)

He is ok now, fit and works hard but will be on heart meds for life.

Icu is a horrible place[DOUBLEPOST=1413171259][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh and hubby was only 27 at time

No, I have no recollection of any of it, I only remember waking up and thinking "ow! this hurts a bit" ha

So you came close to flatline under the knife? How's the ticker now? You doing ok?

@Frankyfurt ..sorry to hear about what happened to your husband. Glad he's back on top of things now despite the meds. May I ask, does he talk about his time in the MIC? Yes... ICU is a horrible place. The incessant "beeps" got to me while in coma but they are a necessary part of the unit. I recall hearing a lot of beeeps and also the staff swearing a lot..lol ..especially when they dropped equipment.

Congrats on the bub too.. despite he/she now being or nudging 5yrs old.:)
