In the earlier series Davina (the host at the time) would only speak to the house from a small studio with no one in,so the housemates wouldn't know what their reaction would be until they left the doors.
This was when big brother actually cared about having no outside interference.

They did go back to that format one year, i wish they had kept to it. :(

I dont mind big brother leaking some house conversations now and again, but they should never show whats been said in the DR. I imagine that if i was ever in that house i wouldnt dare say anything
 
Switching to outside announcements was one of the few mistakes they made while it was at C4. It was all with good intentions and a nice novelty at first but the problems soon became clear. Originally they switched interviews to amongst the crowd too but soon dropped that, but sadly stuck with the announcements for all but a couple of series following that - and even then moving the announcement indoors was only a last minute thing in BB9 due to the unpopularity of one particular contestant.


The irony too is that Davina actually interacted with the crowd far more in the days when she hosted from within the studio than she did when she hosted amongst them - they used to do a brilliant 1 minute walk from studio to house during the countdown (that's where "I'm Coming to Get You") came from and she'd always talk to individuals in the crowd pre-eviction and at the end of the show too - something that hasn't really happened since.

I know there is something satisfying about seeing your least favourite HM getting booed at the eviction, but the constant talk amoungst the HM about their public reactions is IMO killing the game. HM at times have based their nominations on the crowd reactions. I think that that kind of behaviour is not right. Then there is airing of conversations in the house to other HMs, I think that some people in there are holing back on their honest opinions for fear of being exposed, of course you can't be on your best behaviour all the time and some not so nice stuff my slip out.

Say what you will about our family friendly version of BB, but be happy that the crowd is only allowed to cheer, there is no smoking, less drinking and minimal production interference. Sure we get stupid twist like the marriage between Drew and Jade, but that did not have any lasting effect on the game.... Now the fans (Drade:vomit:) that's another thing.

Wonderful characters?!!? LOL..every house mate is the same in Australia! there is no real diversity all all.

Wise decision Mr Sticky, this has been my habit all along. I also avoid going on the search for silly tabloid articles. The authors of those articles just like all participants on BOTS are biased one way or another.

I am taking the liberty to make up my own mind, to do my own thinking.

And that is why I am one of the few who has seen clearly from the beginning :pompus: that Mark is a trained monkey, Ashleigh is a daft lil girl with an attitude like a grandmother - and HELEN... do I need to say more?

The only interesting moment of BB2012 occurred when that blonde bogan and Layla got drunk.

if I were to go into BBUK I wouldnt say anything to anyone about any other HM OR get too eager to spill the beans in the DR because you can be sure BB is going to show it back to the other housemates at some point

They are manipulating all the time - either with the allowance of BOO's to be heard, outside info passed onto them by former housemates, or playing DR entries

If nothing else the Diary Room should never be shown to the other HM's - they should know there is somewhere they can go to vent without fear of the other HM's finding out
 
Ashleigh is a devious little shit with a strong tendency toward condescension. She doesn't deserve to win.

So... THE two public enemies of the week:

Zoe --- she used the word Tesco (how dare she)

Chris --- already perceived as being 'creepy' (whatever that means) now he alluded, if ever so faintly, that the public have a Victorian mindset. He just dug his grave.
 
...if Zoe doesn't go this week I will...I will... cry and cry and cry and cry and cry and cry and cry and cry and cry... (I may even whimper a little)... please let it be her!!!!!!!... PLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!... it'll be a double eviction next week with Mark and Pav going if Zoe goes this week... remember folks you heard it here first! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:... lol!... cheers.:D
