Big Brother back in 2025 on 10! AND LIVE!

A couple of things:

10Play
will rebrand to 10.com.au. Will most likely be here in time with the launch of BB, with live streaming etc on it.
BB news will definitely happen within the next 2 months! (July 2)

This is still the schedule for the remainder of the year!
Feb 17 - Survivor BvB
April 21st or 27th - MasterChef
July 27th - Survivor Aus v World 11 eps
August 24th - Amazing Race
October 5th or 12th - Big Brother

Where are we getting this information? Your ass?

200 days would be 17th November, could it actually be that that's when we will see the casting call, and BB won't start until 2026? It was a very vague graphic, if it said "200 Days Until Big Brother Launches" it would be a bit more concrete, but I feel "Countdown to Big Brother" leaves more questions than answers.

I did a quick Google search and apparently for the 2006 season, auditions were held across November and December in 2005 with a launch date of 22nd April. This was also the case for the 2007 season, Nov/Dec auditions for a 22nd April launch.

Is it likely we will be seeing BB in April/May next year instead?
Yes that would hit right in the Nostalgia as well, y'all remember how hyped we got when a pre-launch teaser ad finally dropped in the TEN era? (hmm Whats this cutesy ad with Birds Bees and Rainbows... Oh sheeit ITS HAPPENING ITS A BB AD! lol) Seriously. 🤣
You knew April/May was on the horizon and BB Season was near Haha.

Source. Fucking source FFS. How many times do you need to be told?

Spotted this in last Friday’s TV Tonight weekly newsletter.
This could be Survivor USA. Channel nine has the rights to air the current season, Channel 10/Paramount holds previous seasons. I notice season 48 is currently airing, but season 47 (which finished airing just before christmas) is not yet on channel 10. I would imagine however the contracts around this works causes some issues.

I don't think that's interesting enough to warrant inclusion in a newsletter. Big Brother fits that bill more and especially Seven being arses for the sake of it, especially when so much of their own current line up is shows they've taken from other networks too.

Blame solely on the production company though - you'd have thought they'd have learned after the lengthy lock out clause in the C9 deal which was twice as long as they held the rights. OK, seems shorter here but still hard to justify anything over a year. I suspect part of the dispute would be Seven airing their final series six months later than their earlier series and when exactly the lockout period began - thought that should be explicit in any contract.

Seven though is basically a very toxic ex - they don't want you but don't want anyone else to have uou either.

IDK my understanding was that the holdback wasn’t about “rights” to BB but was about a right 7 still had under their contract. They were never saying 10 couldn’t have the show but that Endemol Southern Star had jumped the gun allowing 10 to go public with it when they did. I’d imagine that if there were any sour grapes we’d have heard more about it.
