Sodramatic claiming that Skye was cast but was cut very late minute due to comments made on social media.

May be preying on confirmation bias, but I believe it; there were a lot of weird puff pieces that suddenly popped up about her around filming time, then disappeared just as quickly after that happened.

The same source who confirmed the cast to me also told me this. Skye, Vesna and Paul were all allegedly cast and cut prior to filming. Apparently Skye was cut very close to filming. All had apparently passed medical tests and made it almost all the way through casting.

Too many alumni clearly scared them… It seems like it would be easier to manipulate newbies than it would be a bunch of alumni.

Ditto. It sucks because they are three housemates who would have been the most keen to do the show again along with Reggie. Paul and Vesna would have been great TV but I can also see how from the eyes of production Paul and Tim have "clashing personalities". Skye IMO is an ideal representation of the CH9 era. Some fans may not have liked her but to me she was always fun and I'd love to see her play a strategic game, even if she wouldn't be any good on it.

One thing that I've thought about since watching all these promos is that I don't think we won't be seeing the returning housemates on the first night, or not all of them at least. The series was suspected of filming from Tuesday October 12th. In the promo where it looks like Tully has just entered she says "it was my birthday on Monday". Her birthday is October 18th which means she enters almost a week after the suspected start date. My guess is the first episode features no returning housemates and they instead enter over the course of the first few episodes just like they have the previous two seasons. 2020 had two sets of 4 enter after launch night, 2021 had the eight BB air passengers and 2022 has eight members of BB Royalty.

Which no doubt is going to be tedious to watch. I’m over production trying to stretch the premiere over multiple episodes. Just chuck them all in and get on with the show. It’s been done that way for years and the show didn’t suffer at all for it.

I have strong doubts they won’t put some returning HMs - most likely at least Reggie - on day one. There’s no way. They need a ratings pull.

I said last year Jessika Power kinda reminded me of Skye in looks and her 2014 persona, but it would be interesting to see her 7 years later (at the time this years would've been filmed) but a bit changed for her between what was she 20? I saw she had a baby and stuff and went to Bali or something?

I would have loved to see Skye again, she has played pretty dumb about the entire thing but I guess she is good at playing dumb. She looks almost unrecognisable these days (much better IMO) and has two kids and owns some ridiculous looking mansion, so she could be a very different player.

I never got on the Vesna train. But Skye and Paul would have been great.

Maybe next year they can put Skye and Bridget in the house together!

Sounds about right. You'd think the starting point for the series would have been 10 oldies and 10 newbies, so having 8 does sound like they lost a couple close to filming.

Well details were that she did a Q&A on her Insta. Basically answered on of them with “I demand sex from my man, even if he’s not in the mood” something along those lines. People were mad about how insensitive it is. It was everywhere, Seven caught wind of it and was like… FUCK NO?!? Because it would ruin their reputation if they were caught supporting someone with those views. She then did another Q&A a couple weeks into filming (maybe hoping she would be a last min intruder idk) getting her fans to parade that she should go on BB2022.

I take it they're not airing it alongside The Voice then and just like BBVIP start airing the promos so early that by the time the season actually starts everybody feels like they've seen enough already.

Looking forward to seeing Tully in the house again. She is very emotional so as the promos showed she is going to cry a lot lol. But I think she will actually play the game this time. It’ll be interesting to see how far she gets. I don’t think she will make final three but if she strikes up an alliance with Tim and Drew that might help carry her through most of the show
