Big Brother and Coronavirus

Evil Dick seems to think sequester won't begin till the end of the month at the earliest and it'll air from late August through to November, and with the situation as it is in the US at the moment I think that seems more likely.

I think that’s extremely optimistic. I’m not certain without a full stay at home order that cases are going to drop again in the US. If they can’t safely get HG’s in to lockdown and set a definitive premiere date by the end of the month they really need to consider the reality of not airing a series in 2020.
 
It is likely why they're holding off announcing anything. I think their priority now is getting the pre-season prep sorted and the house finished and then when they are good to go they can get up and running quite quickly.

The window is closing and fast... No doubt they won’t run a show through the holidays so if they can’t get HG’s safely in to the house by early September the series is off until at least the new year.
 
Looks like California is largely shutting down again, so suspect things will be on hold once again.

It doesn’t matter what their plans are if at least California doesn’t get a handle on cases soon the series won’t happen. They need at least a months lead so they need to be clear to go ahead by the end of the month... Which is something I don’t see happening.

I’ll believe it when I see an official announcement from CBS.

It was only a few weeks ago an intern apparently leaked that CBS had issued a totally legit press release to affiliates (Global TV in Canada) for “immediate release” that never materialized.

CBS created a TikTok account for BB weeks ago well which was taken by fans that an announcement was imminent.

So far official sources have been dead silent and I’d say there’s a very good reason.

This is likely just a rabid fan trying to drum up attention...

And this is supposed to be a sign of what exactly?
 
That something is in the works, like they are prepping for a potential season. A new logo and leaked All-Stars merch on the official CBS Store

Aside from a revamped logo these were things we’ve know for months now. Given that the fan base are 100x more delusional than they are in any other year it’s best to air on the side of caution before assuming anything.
