This feels like one giant bait and switch - Spending over a year reintroducing everyone to the format using the nostalgia of the past.. then completely backflip and introduce some of the worst branding the show has had in Australia.

Endemol you’re sick in the head..
Spot on. Let's wait and see what the season is like. However why make it so much like Bbuk. The orignal eye they used to announce Big Brothers return was perfect

Why can't we just have a normal looking house? The OG ones were just fine (except for 08) even the 9 versions weren't too bad (though they got worse). And 7's just looked tacky... sadly I think this year is going to be the same. We don't need a Wiggles styled house, that's not what we tune in to see. Just keep it basic jeez.

Think it might be Peter Cunningham (Mr Twink) actually... They sound awfully similar, even being a 13 year gap.
That's who I was thinking of! Wrong name, different twinky sounding BB. 😅

Honestly it's kinda cool they're using the different Deputy's in the promos and not just the main voice (presuming Leon is the main again).

I really like his voice actually, and according to his Linkedin, he's a Brissy boy.

Just catching up on these posts.

In short, hate the shift in branding. They nailed it on announcement but have gone the wrong direction with what we’re seeing now.

The house previews are disappointing to say the least. Why is a basic house design concept so difficult to implement. I feel they’re stepping back on their OG direction and what we’re getting too closely resembles something we’d have seen on 7 or even ITV.

Nevertheless, still hopeful for the classic format and decent housemates, but I won’t lie when I say what we’ve seen over the last week or so isn’t concerning. My spidey senses are telling me we’ll also be shown a lot of montages and every act of the highlights will have music backing tracks.

I guess having livestreaming takes the power away from the producers to make hero/villain edits (to an extent) so we hopefully won't see much of the same bs 7 spewed out. They have said "unfiltered" in their promos, so hopefully they live up to that. I think if they were smart, they would've read the room in regard to the 7 version anyway.

I really don’t think they will go this route. They know better than that. But I understand @dasnico in referencing ITV’s editing style - which, to an extent, isn’t too dissimilar to Seven’s. It’s because of the latter that I’d like to believe Ten won’t edit it in a similar way.

Ultimately, Ten are fairly decent at producing reality TV. They’ve talked a big game in the lead-up to this revival and have done nothing but hone in on it going back to (most of) its roots. There’s a lot at stake for them and they know if they don’t do a decent job they lose. So I have faith… for now.
