She also passes too close to the blue arch without hitting it with her hand. Her arms are flailing from the moment she walks through the door so it would have had to have been a 1 in a million shot if she was actually in that corridor.

You know I love ya @Kingston but I honestly don't think it's all green screen. Maybe I can spot some green tints on Mel at times, but that is more likely just poor lighting.

Green screen halo outlines usually stick out to me like a sore thumb, especially bad and cheap ones. But I'm struggling to see that in full effect here, particularly the living room shots (not necessarily the entrance one). I don't disagree these clips look unnatural - additional digital rendering and some masking very likely - but I really don't think they've completely composited her into fake interiors.

It looks like a green screen to me. I thought the same thing as @Kingston when I saw the promos. I am however not even close to being intelligent enough to be able to spot specifically why. It just looks very cheap and promotional. That could just be the budget for Big Brother houses these days tho.

100% - you have strong evidence for alterations to the entrance clip specifically. But I still refute any use of a green screen in all three of these promos. Happy to be called wrong but I honestly think it's just a result of bad masking in post.

You can definitely see Mel walking on the rug and physically in the room. What I do notice though is the digital extension of the paint job on the arches, which is why I think it's more likely that they've just filmed in an unfinished space over anything else. You can definitely spot some (bad) digital additions to cover the plywood and/or unfinished paint work. And it's this coloured masking that tracks in / expands as the camera zooms in on Mel. You can see the difference in colour. They've also not feathered said masking enough, which is why Mel's hands get briefly cut off when she waves them during the close-up. For how quick this moment is in the promo, it's only really noticeable when slowed down or paused.

Regarding her hand against the blue arch from your earlier post, after re-watching it in 1080p, I'm gonna say that looks like pixelation artifact from the cap to me, rather than anything to do with the promo itself. The "problems" only become apparent during the second half of the shot.



I'm also still unconvinced that the Living Room and Diary Room shots are faked, sorry to say.

I should also point out, given the timeframe to turn these promos around, I actually don't think any of this is a negative thing either. It's just the nature of the biz.

Besides, not everyone is going to be super sleuths like us and notice these details...

The three promos have an un-natural look to them whether it’s a mix of green screen and a few physical set pieces or just enhanced for whatever reason.

The point in brining it up is again certain people jumping to conclusions about what the final product is or isn’t going to be. As proven with my last few posts I’m more than happy to sit here and examine things under a microscope but holy shit the doom and gloom some people have about everything when we haven’t seen the final product is grating. At the end of the day be glad they’re not keeping everything under lock and key like they have in previous eras.

With no formal email or call to applicants yet you’d think that it’s not finalised until those emails go out… Especially those on shortlists… Interesting that one person has received a call but no other formal email etc to others that we know of? Also, did anyone else notice YouTube videos were removed & the ‘Have you Say’ posts?

As for why we’ve only had one person mention an email likely says a lot for those who’ve auditioned this year. It’s no secret that talking about the audition process is the best way to ensure you’ll never make it on to the show. It seems even those who received a thanks but no thanks email haven’t been willing to spoil their chances going forward. Also very few people here want to see a thread full of borderline suicidal posts from those that weren't good enough.

At least this promo isn’t as bad as when Seven revealed shots of the 2020 finalists in their pre-season promo. I noticed and wrote about it here, then my pitiful screenshots ended up on multiple news sites round the world.

Haha true! I was meaning with 20,000 applicants you’d have expected one to mention the ‘sorry you haven’t been selected’ email. If you’re not on this forum or facebook/insta then you wouldn’t know. Previously we’ve seen in this thread mentions of emails to confirm casting is complete from people who actually applied. Anyways, keen to see who they’ve picked & how many from the public YouTube are on there & who else is on there! Not long to go now

Also as someone who's audition video got put on Youtube I am VERY glad they have been removed

I didn't put any effort into it and as someone with high functioning anxiety, 90 seconds of me talking shit about myself on a very public platform was a bit scary.

I found putting that many clips up a bit odd - clearly just a marketing tool to get their audition rates up. It'll be interesting to see if any of the clips uploaded will be going in?
