Big Brother 2020: Promos and teasers (contains spoilers)

From the pedestrian tv article:

O_O

Fitzy&Wippa podcast of sonia "interview"

Improved? That's a bit hopeful.

What I fear is that strategy talk can get really boring and repitive at times. I hope it isn't all that for every minute of every episode.

Me too. I hated the Celebrity version of BB US that was shown here. It was just constant non stop strategy talk.

I hope there are some Instagram models or single housemates who are wild and desperate for screen-time. I don't care about strategy.

I want to see drama, hookups, cheating and arguments about current social issues.

No thank you to cheating.

Or hookups.

Drama is fine.

I suspect arguments will be about alliances and nominations.

The average age of the housemates is over 30 so I think you are going to be disappointed there.

I think that three people is alot to put up for nomination by one person. You'd have alot of people against you. My question is whether people would try and avoid winning the games so then they don't have to nominate, therefore making the game boring. To be honest i'd probs do that if i was in there. If they cast a bunch of masterminds this'd be fine cause they'd have no problem putting peops up but the people that they've cast don't seem like they'd be really willing to break friendships in order to play the game. If there's no veto, then i doubt the game will be only strategy talk as there would only be only so much strategy they could talk about especially if they want to strip it across sunday to thursday.

Personally for me 1 hour episodes across sunday to tuesday is enough. These days, maybe not currently, but people are so busy and not everyone has time to commit to a reality series. If they're gonna do 5 nights, they should be keeping in mind that any new audiences the show attracts will probably feel overwhelmed by how many days it's on. It's not as though bb's masterchef where you can watch from any point. Relationships are constantly changing and forming.

I'd honestly reckon i'd prefer the hm's to vote who wins. Why go through the whole game being strategic with no public influence what so ever to then make the public decide the winner. It just seems like they've done it just to tick the box and shut fans up over public involvement. For me it just doesn't flow with the game.

But then it could also be a good thing cause you can get to the final and don't have to worry about backstabbing and betraying other peops cause they don't have a say in who wins.

I'm personally interested whether 7 will try and influence us to vote for who we thinks played the game better or who we like better.

Of course they'll try to influence us. Badly.

If you've watched The Circle, you'd see some awful winners in a couple of seasons who would never have won if the viewers could have voted. It's a way for Seven to give viewers some satisfaction (or not, depending on who you voted for) at the end result.

I think we have to make that choice for ourselves.
yes, but i think they'd word the question in an alluding type of way to get an outcome they're satisfied with.
They would probs have a voice over with the numbers on screen saying 'who do you think deserves to win?' or 'Who's your favourite?' or 'who's played the better game?' smt like that..

Interesting to note that before Covid19, SEVEN's intention was to film only every second day. I wonder if NINE was doing the same ?

Seven’s intention was to film Sonia every second day... not to film the show itself every second day. Assuming Sonia is around for evictions and possibly nominations (although hard to see what her role would be in nominations).

On a second listen, you're correct - my bad (and a bad phone line). :egg:
