BBUS - Season 25

Yes - they might cut him out but I don't think that has been the case with previous ejectees.

I havent yet watched episode 3, but I did watch episode 2. I don't want to jinx anything or get ahead of myself, but I have a REALLY good feeling about this season. The casting is so much better than the same shit thats been spat out for the last decade. And just to have Cirie there is amazing in itself.

Luke has just proved everything I assumed him to be, to be true... He looks like a massive douche and he is a massive douche. I do wonder if the eviction will go through?

Love those opening titles. A much needed refresh after the BB16-present era. The graphics are much more intune with internatinal versions and a lot more emphasis on cameras rather than highlighting the show as a fun summer pass time.

I again and feeling very hyped for this season, and also now BBUS moving forward. I can only say I have enjoyed one season (BB20) over the last 8 or so seasons.

Yes. I'm one of the few who loved BB16 (most seem to hate it, but I thought it had a great cast and it was good to have a twist that lasted more than three weeks). BB17-19 were all pretty much write offs, but BB20 was superb and BB23 rescued by the Cookout, but can't really remember much else about it.

I do fear at 100 days it would drag but I guess CBS need it to drag due to the strike. I've thought for a while they should inject a bit of pace into it by expanding to 4 episodes a week with 2 evictions most weeks over 8-9 weeks.

I also liked the cast of BB16 at the time, not so much the second time I watched it. I do have a sense of nostalgia for it though as it was the first season of international big brother I ever watched, and live at that.

I really have only enjoyed 17, 20 and maybe 18. Maybe. I didn’t mind 23 but I just was disappointed that the majority alliance once again ruled when it wasn’t in all of their best interests. Understandable however.

I don’t mind the titles but not a fan of the remixed theme they’re using.

Glad to have you back in the fold. While the first few weeks of a series do tend to be the most interesting this season does feel like a relative return to form for the show. The work they’ve put in to diversity seems to have paid off… Love the fact that the house seems to have split in to old vs young albeit it is strange to think that as someone who just turned 39 a day before this series premiered that I’d fall in to the older crowd. While the house is current divided I am still holding out of an old school style season where things fall apart as the season progresses. I officially have a cable package now so hopefully that makes it much easier to keep up this season.

I think part of the reason many hate BB16 is it did start the trend of forming an alliance featuring half the house.

This eviction episode made the absence of a live audience during the premiere even weirder. With the rules that TV shows have to follow regarding COVID lapsing on May 12th, applying the same reasoning behind having last year's finale set in the backyard because of the live audience doesn't make sense. And with the eviction having an unmasked audience and Julie not distanced from an evictee for the first time since 2019... So why exactly was there no audience last week?

So they showed the incident that led to Luke's removal but didn't show the DR of him bring told he'd be ejected, instead just showing that info being relayed to the house.

They need to fix the screens in the studio though - seemed to be flickering throughout the show tonight which was really distracting. Is this the first time this front of the house set has had an audience?

Guessing the Nether Region is a standing set on the CBS backlot - far too big a set to be built in the backyard or specifically for the show.

Yip. It was filmed somewhere within the CBS Studio Center lot - I recognised one of the houses from the recent-ish show "American Housewife".

I have to admit sometimes I watch BBUS (more so specifically the modern seasons) and I cringe sometimes at the childish antics. The pretending from the houseguests that they actually went through a portal… even children would probably watch this and say that’s not real.

Someone at production must like stranger things lol

I also hope Matt was given clear written instructions outside the edit. I feel like with there being a hearing impaired contestant the number or challenges that require hearing should be kept to a minimum.

I'd imagine he was. Not sure if he signs (I get the impression he lips read) but if he does and they use a sign interpreter during challenges they should show that on camera during challenges.

We know anyway the instructions that end up on screen are just a fraction of the instructions the HGs get during comps, with the opportunity to clarify things with producers before the comp begins.

The magic of TV of course and a bit of fun for the houseguests rather than us. Was pretty clear the backyard scenes were filmed later and the shot of them all hanging around the living room was when they actually returned to the house.

Looks like my prediction about the intro not being seen again because of the guy being removed was wrong as it has shown up in tonight's episode. They did remove him from the intro though - which is something I don't recall them doing in the past.

It wouldn’t be hard just to cut him out of the intro. BB23 seemed to have only used the actual intro for the live shows and I think that’s likely the case here.

Lol as I say this the veto was another hearing based one. But at least good to know that Hisam apparently said on the feeds he wouldn't have nominated Matt due to so.

I really am not liking Hisam, he is very high and mighty and how dare anyone go against him whilst he preaches the same mindset. Don't like much of him from what I see on feeds either.
