BBUS - Season 25

No, he's not very likeable and should be out next.

Pretty dumb if they never thought that challenge would be a problem for a deaf contestant - and even dumver if they did make adjustments but haven't shown them on screen. Whilst his disability absolutely shouldn't define him on the show I feel viewers haven't been given the chance to learn about how it impacts him - does he just lip read or does he sign as well. Does he wear gearing aids, has he any hearing at all? Address these questions early on and the issue is dealt with.

The Circle really set the bar for how to treat deaf contestants with the accompanying sign interpreter. From what I've seen I don't think he relies on signing but if he does they should absolutely have an interpreter there for all competitions and ceremonies.

A good article here which explains the adjustments made as a result of pre-season trials with Matt. Essentially extract screens using voice to text technology and adjusting the voice used and sounds levels to be compatible with his hearing aids.

This shot of Julie standing in the audience talking to the camera tonight instead of being up on the stage felt so weird.

Missed that - they barely show the audience at all during the show.

So the Pressure Cooker is finally back next week - with a "scaryverse twist". I've long said they should combine it with the black box and play it in the dark.

I can’t say this enough but I’m actually really impressed with the way production seem to be taking this season seriously… Fans have only been asking to see this comp again for god knows how long and we’re finally seeing it.

This season has gotten my attention so strongly, even so my fyp is full of feed clips and so many Felicia clips at that lol
I think after literal decades of treating fans like we don’t know what we’re talking about they’re finally learning that if they give us even just an inch we’ll give them miles in return.

Just caught up on the episodes tonight and so far it’s been pretty good. Loving the more natural DR’s, this is probably one of the most entertaining and diverse casts we’ve had in the modern era, and it really feels like they’re making the show once again for the fans rather than themselves.

I will say so far the gameplay really hasn’t been that great but here’s hoping things get interesting once they get over this initial hump.

I think it's a similar dynamic to BB6 too with a house split down the middle, which is why the Pressure Cooker lasted as long as it did. Watch it fizzle out after an hour or two this time. Hope they don't ruin it with a bit of health and safety by letting HGs have a break.

I think to be fair to producers they've listened increasingly to fans over the years, but does feel like this season is one for the fans. I do wish they'd fix the Sunday show though and put a regular comp back in there - they seem to just hold over the HoH comp now. Bringing back the food comp (rather than Have Not) would be another easy win for the fanbase.

I think also after the BB Can debacle fans appreciate having the live feeds even more - they deliver not just directly but just fill your timeline 24/7, which is great for promoting the show.

P.S. Notice there is a door now right at the top of the stairs. It's probably just a fire door, but just wondering if there could be something behind it that comes into play. (Think the upstairs diary room is at the other end of the balcony)

after watching some of the feeds, I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead. I don’t think the professors will stand the test of time. Felicia and Cirie have already started talking about other options moving forward, Matt for example.

As much as it would be satisfying to see Hisam leave through a back door, it would also be somewhat interesting to see him somehow win veto or survive, and discover the plan to back door him. It would be kind of entertaining to see him cause drama and get on his high horse after learning he was in danger. No more for a week or two though… I can’t handle him staying till Jury.

(in regards to Luke being expelled) Also a conversation between cirie (and I think Felicia?) on the feeds mentioned a battle-back. Given Julie has confirmed to the evictees that Cirie and Jarrod are related I doubt there will be one for pre jury. With 14 remaining in the 100 day season, the season would require no double evictions moving forward. But I cannot see that being the case, there will 100% be one if not two. Therefore it’s very likely we’ll either see a jury battle back or maybe a twist that can cancel an eviction. I doubt completely the season won’t include a double.

It’s possible we’ll get two jury battle backs.

It’s a divided house yes but definitely not the same dynamic as BB6. I think if they succeed in getting out Hisam and maybe Cameron I think we’ll see the groups break down. I think Riley being voted out unanimously pretty much signals that no one is that willing to draw a hard line in the sand just yet.

This season has felt like such a return to form for the show in so many ways that I’d love to see it become a BB16 of sorts where smaller alliances become the norm again.

I caught an episode and a half while I was in the US last week. It did seem pretty good.

I dipped out of BBCAN after 2022 so perhaps I should consider picking up BBUS.
I would reccomend tbh. As someone who was strongly against the US version for a long while, I did enjoy it. It mostly does dissapoint and does not reach the highs that other shows like Survivor reached. But nontheless, I did very much enjoy my binge of the series. Many great characters to watch and root for and also many that show strategic ability and would do well on many other shows. Many seasons can be skipped IMO.

I spent an unhealthy amount of time today watching feeds.

It is so satisfying seeing Hisam on the block. SO SATISFYING.

Watching him talk to so many people and constantly come across as patronising is giving me the ick. I hope to god this week follows the house voting together formula so he for sure goes. I feel he is more of the reason the house was so split more so than it was Reily's fault as he likes to claim. It seems this week there is more conversations happening between the alliances.

I had a feeling the Professers vs Handful would not last so long. The Handful specifically seems to be splitting up. But I also tend to not to watch Jag, Blue, Cameron and America on the cams as much I do with Cirie, Felicia, Izzy and Matt. So I guess we'll see.

Also to add, watching the Sunday episode was a wild experience for me. I watched a lot of the feeds after Felicia won HoH, and for the first time in my BB viewing experience I got to watch an episode after watching the entire day of feeds. And I was pleasently surprised to see how accurate the edit was to watch I watched live. Although yes it really was just the conversations Felicia had in the HoH room, but still, what I watched on the edited show was very failthful to what I saw play out.

Aside from the order in which the conversations actually occured, the narrative was much the same. It was really fun to be able to live feed and see how the episode turned out for the first time. Watching this season has brought me back to the days where I'd watch the Nine version live and follow it online. Except this time I can actually watch Live Feeds. I feel like I am actually experiencing Big Brother they way I want to for once.

Can't stand Hisam but the show would probably be better off if he stayed a bit longer as there is no other real antagonist at the moment - and if he can blindside the blindside that would ramp up tge tension nicely for the Pressure Cooker and make it a HoH most houseguests would feel they need to win.

If you were American you probably wouldn't tip
