BBUK returns Sun 8 Oct 2023 (and Celeb BB back in 2024)

Yeah, but you'd think people would be sticking around to watch the eviction interview, given that its something that had previously always been part of the main show but now ITV carved it out to give Late & Live some relevance.

I wish they didn't. Have to search out and download a separate 1.5GB file just to watch the interview. Ain't got no time for that.

It really should have been flagged on Friday but according to reports tonight the housemate who becomes "possessed" will choose three HMs to be up for eviction and they'll be a snap vote during Late & Live on Monday night. Hopefully that does mean at least the evictee will be revealed and evicted live on the show, even if they don't get the full crowd treatment.

unsure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I don’t hate the idea of snap evictions. Especially in this case, as you say they do tend to rush the interviews for the finalists in BBUK. I’d rather have many spread out single evictions along the way and have MAXIMUM, 5 finalists. It will allow everyone to get their time to shine.

Hate the idea of needing to evict via the back door just to cut down this bloated cast. They knew all along the series would only last 6 weeks and should have cast accordingly. 16 was far too many.

Yeah I hate the back door eviction as well. Everyone should be able to have that moment with the crowd. It was something I really hated about the last few series on C5.

Twist confirmed now but possessed HM will be able to choose one lesson to discuss noms with first. Nominees won't know they're up. Still unclear if eviction will be live but looking unlikely.

A few articles are saying the evictee will be announced during Monday’s late and live show, and the evicted housemate will leave with no crowd. They will then apparently return for an interview on Tuesday’s late and live.

The lack of a proper eviction is only one party of it. The fact is we have a six week series and an extremely bloated cast.

After how they acted tonight, Paul, Olivia and Tom need to be up for eviction this week. I was starting to like Olivia but she acted like a dickhead tonight. If they woke me up in that way, there would have been violence.

Possessed housemate:
Noky

How the hell does
Paul
keep avoiding getting nominated 😡

I'm glad he avoided it today after the defamation of character he got online today which stemmed from one tweet saying he'd done something on the live feed which despite nobody else mentioning got reposts and seen by over 100k people in an hour and picked up by the national press before it was confirmed by multiple others who had seen the live feed, plus the live reporting of the feed on Digital Spy, that what he was accused of absolutely hadn't taken place. It really was a lesson in secondary outrage - always check the full facts and context for yourself before jumping on a bandwagon.

He is a dick though but needs to go for his genuine flaws, not for what some people online have been keen to make out he is (despite presenting zero evidence) since he entered the house.

I do judge people on how they handle nominating people and that test was well and truly passed tonight. Thought it fell really well too with someone very much in the middle of the house getting the role.

For me that was such a dud of an episode - BB thrives on being live and that was just pre-packaged badly produced manufactured bullshit - felt really lacking in authenticity from both the nominees and producers. It was also really poor of Big Brother to expose that "possessed" housemate who made the nominations - they just want their quick flashpoint rather than let the drama of them not knowing who did the nominatign raise suspicion and mistrust in the house. Considering how anal they are about discussing nominations revealing to the house how two housemates have nominated is just poor sportsmanships from producers - especially as Noky has done her best shock face reaction to the twist being revealed.

What is a real slap in the face for fans though is the eviction took place whilst the show was live on air yesterday, but they hid it from us. Had it happened live it could have been a real moment, and would then drive people to the feeds. As it is it ended up one of the worst episodes I've ever seen and I can't even be arsed watching the eviction interview.

It was Kerry, so at least she's gone.

Also sick of the moaning about food taking up 20 minutes every episode. If that's all they've got to show they really need to cut the episodes to airing every other night instead.

I disagree, loved tonight's episode. Dylan signed his eviction warant after how he reacted tonight....

But I don't think the producers should have exposed Trish and Noky as the posessed housemates, that just put a target on their back for the next nominations. Their reward for passing the secret task should have been immunity from the next eviction.

I only had time to watch up until the eviction. My internet in Zurich was also shit, I miss my home wifi so much! So I’ll catch up on the rest tonight. But it did feel a bit too gimmicky for me.

And apparently this Friday is a double?!

Well I have waited all day and this ep stll hasn't turned up, but who cares I've finally caved and read the post. Good result, but poorly executed by the sounds of it. Rude to expose Trish and Noky, I didn't expect that.
