BBUK returns Sun 8 Oct 2023 (and Celeb BB back in 2024)

Yep very obvious, at least we will get rid of some of the dead weight. I swear if
Jordan
goes over
Jenkin
I will be so mad
Personally
I'm kind of over him. I am not phased if he goes or not. But would love for Jenkin to go.
The only worry is Jordan fans will have to split their votes between Tom and Jenkin. Whilst the other two's fans will all gang up on Jordan. Obviously Yinrun,Henry and Matty's fans will help save Jordan too. But he could possibly be in a percarious position.

This is Yinrun's to lose

I'm not entirely convinced about Yinrun having it in the bag. There was a comment I saw the other day on Twitter/X that said something along the lines of "its bad enough that lot come and take our jobs, now they are coming for our prize money. if she wants to win she should go on Big Brother: Won Ton not #bbuk".

She'll have people of that mindset voting against her for sure.

Haven't read any of the spoilers yet.

Getting a little sick of Jordan's slightly toxic behaviour. But this was real funny.

Olivia really positioned herself well for the final in last nights episode too. As I always say what is great about vote to evict and losing big characters is it changes the dynamics in the house and last nights episode was one of the best examples of that - went from an angst filled misery fest last week to a fun BB house of old this week.

Yeah I can admit loosing Trish and Chanelle probably did this cast favours for their own progressive narrative. The animosity between the two seems to have been a major factor in the house split. Tonight they all actively engaged with each other.

If the series was only just a fortnight longer we’d see some more complex storyline’s come to fruition. But alas, it’s all for naught.

And judging her as a housemate rather than tweeter a housemate like Trish deserves the live eviction treatment rather than this backdoor eviction nonsense.

Does seem at least the eviction will be live tomorrow, although feels like it's an afterthought as it appears only AJ is hosting, there is no crowd and lines close before the show begins. Just unnecessarily messy when it didn't need to be and should have been planned for.

Hmmm. Wonder if they're using it as a testbed on whether they really need two presenters for the main show going forward... Based on this season, they really only need one. One of them can just be relegated to Late and Live only.

Trish leaving was a shock, kinda like Hallie earlier in the season but also after those chants what a turnaround. Also disappointing about the tweets, but I'm also on the side of accepting what seems like her sincere apology towards them and that the person we've come to watch in the past few weeks would never make those comments as the person she is today in this moment.

It does remind me a lot of Hartley Sawyer getting cancelled a few years ago and fired from The Flash over some bad taste joke tweets from a similar time gap ago, and a lot of people acting holier than thou over it.

It begs the question though why they leave such things out in the open liabilities waiting to happen in this day and age, but maybe they cant be bothered (if there are a few problematic tweets to go back, spot and sort through) or they have matured and grown but thought they're not outrageously terrible on surface level (like for instance, that one about not being sure how to feel when a lesbian makes a pass at you, or Justin Bieber looks like a lesbian - JB was unfortunately an acceptable ridicule target back in those days - like the constant spec by some that Lady Gaga was a hermaphrodite - stuff that is looked back on as really bad taste joking by today's standards).

But OTOH if youre going to be more visible as a celebrity on any level, you really should be making sure your socials history reflects who you are today, and hope its only a few posts.

Anyways, The clean up task was fun. How did they fill up all the balls in the air lock section up the stairs? is there a ceiling drop zone up there too? Also going back to the intruder task, they showed a floor plan in the security room! But I think one detail was off - the Diary room isnt further along the corridor and around the corner from the Bedroom/Bathroom Split. The DR door is often shown directly adjacent to the Bedroom door.

I also think Chanelle and Trish going has had another bit of a shift in the house, Olivia has certainly come back into the running with some comedic moments (Llamas, walking in on Jordan and Henry). Jordan and Henry finally just going for it I'm still not sure on though whether that might help or hinder either of them in the game/votes. I also wonder when/if the switch to vote to win is gonna happen - on C5 seasons was it Vote to Save the whole way through wasn't it?

For those not watching Late and Live, They do the show after the eviction together, but then take turns hosting solo during the week. Will did Kerry's eviction interview solo for instance, as it fell on his individual day hosting BBLL. So AJ doing it might just be because its her night doing L&L that it coincides with.

You'd think if they were doing it as a full Live Eviction (which I assume means the eviction happens in the main show) that they would trot out both presenters instead of just one even if it falls on a day one of them would have off otherwise.

Jordan also reminds me a little at times of the Youtuber Dan Howell of Dan and Phil. Can you imagine him and Henry putting out a Sims gameplay video or something with Jordans witty commentary lol.

I felt something was off about the security map too but I guess it was accurate. What is shown to the audience as the Diary Room door (between bed/bath) opens to a dark void followed by more rainbow corridor. At the end is a set of basic doors for the DR and task rooms. Check out this pre-launch house tour starting at ~5:10 and again at ~7:36

oh yes I did watch that one before, but mightve thought it was the same corridor. So it also explains where the task room is too.

and then they literally show that hallway in today's episode lol Cause the 3 'Evictees' couldn't just come waltzing out of the 'faux diary room door' and over to the task room cause they'd be caught by the others (plus as we know its situationally behind that section anyway so thats not technically possible). The School task was funny.

That was pretty brutal though even though it was fake (for now) and interesting way to lock in the nominations before the face to face part so that they don't just sway the vote as each is read out.

Tom though cant give any less of a F** at this point and cant contain his not buying Yinrun's dramatics as genuine. I kinda wanna see him be the one to come back in now just for the reaction of the others and him going to come in hot about them having watched them, but it would be at the expense of Jordan.

It'll be interesting.

I think Jordan will survive as he isn't as evictable as Trish was. People seem to hate Tom - yes, he was pathetic over Paul but I actually like we're seeing more of him now the house is quieter and completely agreed with his reaction to the dramatics.

Worst case scenario is Jenkin surviving again - don't think the show has ever had a more miserable contestant and can't stand people who enter a game show then complain about people playing the game, especially when he's the only one in there I've really seen have an expectation of some kind of fame when he gets out.

Jenkin is nothing like he made himself sound to be in his VT. He’s such a negative presence and really sucks the fun out of this season in my opinion.

Tom has likeable aspects but his obsession with like Chanelle, being beyond insistent that Paul was a victim of absolutely character assassination by Trish. For simply being called out for childish behaviour.

Noky for me is really plain and just an all round none event despite being one of the more positive casting choices.

Matty I personally really like. On a lot of the online chatter seems to not so much include him other than the love triangle. And that’s largely because he has no storyline outside of Jordan. He seems to be a really great social housemate in the house, but possibly too emotional to have any strategic side to him which kind of stops him from being as entertaining as he can be.

Henry is interestingly likeable but at the same time isn’t that integral to the show. Just like Matty he lacks a storyline outside of Jordan. And the occasional humour on the basis of his financial status. The only reason I could honestly say I like him for is because I just feel sorry for him with this whole situation. But as a winner he’d be very underwhelming. if vote to evict used the old Australian rules and carried onto the final 2, he could very likely have a shot at winning.

Jordan had potential IMO to be a favourite to win. With his sarcasm and dry bluntness he was really funny and relatable, but has just become annoying due to his inability to acknowledge his emotions. He must struggle with emotions in general and is used to pushing them aside, but when other people are involved this approach clearly hurts others. I hope he does like Henry and isn’t just acting upon his confused emotions.

Yinrun has the likeable personality to have this set. But she doesn’t have a storyline or a place in the edit most episodes if I have to shamefully admit. If she were to leave I honestly don’t think it would change anything? And if I have to admit the over the top crying is sometimes unbearable. I don’t doubt that her emotions are sincere, but it’s over the top no doubt.

I honestly think my favourite housemate is Olivia. And I feel like she’s being so incredibly dynamic and the least predictable. My opinion on her has increased and decreased over and over again over the series. And I think she’s incredibly funny and likeable at her core, she just became unlikeable with people like Paul and Chanelle. But I feel like without Chanelle she’s going back to herself. Hence why I think she deserves to be the winner. She is a huge example why I think most of this cast are great choices, they just need a different cast to bounce off of.

Olivia would be my choice to win at the moment - between her and Jordan I think. Yinrun is a great housemate but for me hasn't delivered anything that makes her a winner.

Matty sadly just became a bit part in Jordan's story. Henry more of a central player in that, but I'm not voting Tory. Noky is a Queen - and like a queen does relatively little. I think she might have thrived more in a strategic format.

Tom I thought had the attributes of a winner in week one - someone who would quietly slip through to the end, which he has done, and showed signs of a bit more about him. Unfortunately most people don't like those signs and his obsession with Paul killed his chances. I've liked his scenes with Jordan and Henry though away from the other group - but we've just seen too much of his nastier side.
