BBUK 2016 - Series discussion

That was a satisfying conclusion - especially when Emma's distaste for the little twerp showed through.

England is clearly in the process of shooting itself in the foot and allowing the morons to have control - I wonder if politics is being organised by Murdock, and the stupider the people in public office, the more (anachronistic) newspapers he can sell. But the relationship between cheers and the people was still surprising. Cheers for Jackson? Such venom for Jason, for having the audacity to play tactically? People still haven't forgiven Laura for her stupidity in week one. Why is Evelyn booed? Is Jackson really that popular?

There were unforeseen consequences to Lateysha's removal. I thought it would send the boys to Jason and Andy, but instead seems to have left a hole for Ev and Laura to slide over to the cool kids table. Although how Sam imagines he's cool is stunning. Remember his VT about how noone can party like him? Vote to save left him forgotten. Laura is disliked, and Ryan - maybe people thought he was safe. Or maybe people actually hated him as much as I did. Glad the twit is gone.

Good to see that group lose its matriarch and its mascot this week - but I fear relative popularity, now Lateysha isn't keeping Evelyn away from her boys, will not be good for Laura nor Evelyn.

Nice to see Jayne cheered. Glad Andy is still there. Shame L and E chose the Muppets over the boring old people, but ... whatever. I'm starting to actually like Alex, but I think he is just a blank onto which anyone can project whatever they want him to be. If he was ugly he'd be out.

Didn't like the twist, but I have liked the end result of this week. Watching Lateysha trying to tell Chelsea what he actually thought just rubbed in how much I disliked her personality.

For those waiting for BBBOTS, I seem to be having issues with the recording I have. So it will have to wait until I am home in a few hours to investigate - seems the issue is in the segment with Ryan's interview which is kinda the whole point... :/

Good riddance Ryan, you've got a bit of growing up to do... or make that a a LOT!!

I am happy that Laura survived because I find her the most sincere of all the HMs...with Hughie coming second - his sincerity sometimes gets a bit blurred by his exuberance.

The three I want to see gone next asap are in alphabetical order: Alex, Jackson and Sam! The three of them big words and no substance.

Finally got BBBOTS sorted. Give YouTube time to process it.

There is an awkward cut at one of the ad breaks, but I had to do it to cut out the part that was causing things to fail. :/

The (same) crowd that turn up every week does not represent the UK public, nor does it even represent the people who are even watching the show. They turn up just to boo because they are sad and have nothing better to do with their weekend. They boo even louder this year because they know once the evicted housemate is in the interview room they cant be heard anymore and are therfore not included.

I dont even think the majority of them even watch the show themselves, which shows when the loudest person they boo against usally gets saved. They just turn up and see who the loudest crowd members arnt liking or who they feel is easy enough for them to get away booing and go a long with it. This week it just happened to be Laura, if she wasn't in the bottom 3 that crowd wouldnt have reacted to her at all.

I don't know why I thought this was going to be an "annihilation" and the bottom three would all get the boot.I wish they had.

(I guess I am not paying very much attention any more). I hope this season is done soon.

Thanks to Rison again, I actually enjoyed watching this episode of BOTS, excellent quality which made me overlook all the rubbish that was dished out... as usual.
That Kiwi guy on the panel... I swear he does voodoo, he brings nothing but bad luck and also displays that eerie oversized grin, but let's not dwell on him.

I have learned one interesting factoid today, namely that according to BOTS Lateysha was so well liked both on the inside of the house as well as on the outside. Now this 'fact' had totally eluded me and I think the reason was that this season I only watched 3 episodes of BOTS.

Confession: (...and I will hear no more of it!!) Of all the females from day one I actually fancied Lateysha because of her lovely curves, her soft skin and her gentle demeanor. And if that counts, her lovely Welsh accent.

Sadly, the infatuation didn't last too long.... two or three days into the gig she started playing up, and it became obvious to me that she was mistaking herself for a character on a Shakespearean stage. I don't appreciate this kind of artificial behaviour, hate me for it if you must.
She actually got worse day by day. So, being of a reasonably balanced mind, I began to 'write her off' which I still think was the right thing to do.

Yet... according to the BOTS crowd and apparently the Great British Public, she was one of the favourites.

Anyone who is still reading, help me out here... have I been deluded all this time or was BOTS AGAIN pulling out all the stops to influence the gullible?

Since when are the housemates allowed to know what time it is? Noticed that they had Jackson saying "it's 12:45am" a few times in the latest episode. I remember a few years ago when Rylan was in the house, the fact that they knew what time it was lead to the accidental reveal he was leaving the house on a regular basis...

...right!... 3 episodes to catch up on... Alex and Evelyn shared a bed... pfffffffft!... Jayne is happy about Jason pushing the button... good on her!... the 'Rich/Poor' decisions were interesting...

Rich:... Ryan/Alex and JACKSON...
Poor:... Jayne/Hughie/Sam/(Ryan got shifted to 'Poor' after Jackson chose him)/Evelyn/Laura/Jason and Andy...

...Jayne says... "is he going to give us 50 quid each?"... (about Jackson's bullshit the other day)... lololol!... Ryan's excuse for choosing 'Rich' was such shit!... Alex and Jackson both pretend to be 'gutted' but proving their double standards and lies... "I wish that I read into it more" says Jackson out loud... what a twat!... Hughie 'ups' Alex and he says something... moving on... Evelyn 'ups' Jackson too lol!... GO GIRL!... Ryan and Hughie have a 'lover's tiff'... Evelyn in the Diary Room was fabulous lol!... funny as!...

...Jackson tries to portray himself as a Martyr and Evelyn has nothing of it... she gives Jackson hell lol!... (and so she should too!)... she walks off... he is such a twerp!... the 'poor people' are having a Spam dinner... Jackson goes to the Diary Room and blubbers his tits off with that high pitched screechy voice... now Alex says something to Evelyn... moving on... Jackson comes back blubbering and apologising with that same high pitched screechy voice... what a two-faced whimpy wuss!... now Laura wants her airtime in the Diary Room blabbering to Big Brother... moving on...

...now the two 'rich ones' are complaining that they don't like the wine that they were given... so much for their remorse eh?... Jason and Andy choose not to eat Alex and Jackson's popcorn and stuff... Jason 'ups' them about it... "I was starving to death!" says Laura... pffffft!... Andy goes to the Diary Room and lets off steam... lol!... that makeup on Ryan is a sad desperate attempt to gain more airtime isn't it?...

...Laura says that she has 'given up caring now'... that's a laugh isn't it?... she's been acting all 'sweet and innocent' since day one and has pretended that she is naive on many occasions but she has been one of the biggest 'game players' right from the beginning in my opinion... what a two faced bitch she is.. your act doesn't fool me girl... end of show... cheers.

...the Live Eviction:... I accidentally read that Ryan went in this episode so here's my say anyway lol!... (that really is a bloody FANTABULOUS result!)... lol!... (Alex or Jackson needs to go now... it doesn't matter in which order to me)... Emma talks to Chelsea and Lateysha... (what?... no Charley?)... Emma has found it to be 'edge of my seat stuff!'... haha!... really Emma?... REALLY?... are we watching the same show Emma?...

...Chelsea spoke a load of drivel all the way through it of course... Lateysha is sooooooo bitter with Jason isn't she?... she really did think that she was the chosen winner didn't she?... Chelsea gives her a serve on a couple of occasions... good on him for that... Latysha sounds like a twisted bitter young lady when pressured by Emma to me... I dread the idea of her going into 'Celebrity Big Brother' I really do... I hope that she is the first one evicted if she does... Lateysha thinks that it will be Evelyn or Jayne that goes tonight and Chelsea thinks that it will be either Jayne or Jason... ha!... so much for them 'reading the public' eh?...

...Big Brother decides to punish the housemates for eating the 'rich peoples' food and for using their bedding... now they have to eat 'slop' and have to wear sacks as clothing... Hughies says 'fook off!... I'm not doing it!"... Andy expresses that he has the shits and Ryan blabbers shit to excuse their behaviours... I so can't stand Ryan... thank god that it was him that went tonight... Andy goes to the Diary Room and vents... I love Andy and really hope that he wins this...

...they play that game and Jason laughs lol!... wow!... Alex revelling in Sam and Hughie giving him a rubdown (probably thinking that they are getting their 'jollies' while doing it no doubt)... Ryan can't stand that Hughie is getting more airtime so has to take over... **SIGH**... Jayne and Andy talking about the mindless conversations with the rest of the housemates lol!... Jackson and Laura... (the two biggest 'gameplayers' in the house) are saying that Jason and Andy are the two biggest 'gameplayers' in the house!... oh the irony!... lol!... Ryan chucks a fidder fadder for more airtime... **ho hum!**... Jayne is in the Diary Room having her say now... Hughie and Ryan doing that shit to the Zebra was disgusting to me... Hughie puts his dick onto it?... FFS!...

...Laura is in the Diary Room in a last desperate bid to influence the public into getting Jason out was so pathetic... and she says that she's not 'playing the game?... riiiiiiiight!... she tells Big Brother that she can see 'slyness'... oh really Laura?... yes I can too... in YOU!...

...Emma is in the house and talks to the housemates... they have to stand behind podiums... the 6 people that are saved by THE PUBLIC are... Jayne/Alex/Evelyn/Jackson/Hughie and JASON... (so much for the 'backlash' that Lateysha was prattling on about during her hateful tirades against him eh?)... lol!... Laura/Ryan and Sam are now up for possible Eviction... Laura looks shattered... (her 'gameplaying' is obviously not working for her is it?)... they stand behind the three 'loser' podiums' and have to plead to be saved... Ryan's speech was pathetic when he said that he was 'funny'... as if!... the other housemates have to choose who to evict... hahaha!... PERFECT!!!!!!... lol!...

Alex picks Laura...
Andy picks Ryan...
Evelyn picks Ryan...
Hughie picks Laura...
Jackson picks Laura...
Jason picks Ryan...
Jayne picks Ryan...

...hahahaha!... SUCKED IN RYAN!!!!!... now get out!!!!!... hahahahaha!... I am so happy about that eviction lol!... woohoo!... good riddance to bad rubbish I say!... what I like about it is that Jackson deprived him of his 5 grand because he chose him to go into the 'poor house' lol!... sucked in part 2!... lol!... Emma gives him his exit interview... he says something 'derogatory' about women when denying that he does after Jason's earlier comment during his Eviction... what a dickhead... I'm so happy that I won't have to listen to his drivel after I watch BOTS... Emma did so well to make him accountable for all his actions in the house... well done Emma!... end of show... cheers.

...the third 'catch up' episode... the day after!... lol!... they start recapping Ryan's eviction... Jayne talks about 'young slang'... Alex says something... unfortunately during recapping Ryan's eviction they are showing Ryan during them... fast forward... Jackson plays the sad desperate 'new haircut' card for the airtime... **SIGH**... I totally agree with what Jason and Andy were saying about Ryan too... that was so well said...

...fast forward Ryan saying something... Jason and Andy out in the garden speculating about that night's eviction lol!... (if only they knew who it would be at that stage)... they show the Eviction over again... Ryan goes at last!... now for the interesting bit... the Eviction aftermath... Hughie giving Jason a serve as Ryan is leaving is pitiful...

...Jason tries to talk to Hughie logically which is obviously a lost cause... Hughie storms off... Jackson starts to praise Laura up **grovel grovel**... Laura then starts asking Hughie as to why he voted for her and he prattles on to defend himself... Laura is in 'shock mode' methinks because she knows that the public is wise to her lol!... Sam gets the shits with her badgering and walks away from her... Laura is now so gutted... HA!... lol!...

...Andy and Jason are now talking about Jason surviving eviction... Jason seems so grateful and relieved... good on him!... Hughie is now in the Diary Room running Jason down to the ground big time... this side of Hughie is really turning me off him as one of my favourites to be honest... shut up Hughie... now Laura is in the Diary Room saying to THE PUBLIC "you are so mean!... so mean!... SO FUCK YOU!"... hahahaha!... bye bye Laura you dimwit!... way to go to endear yourself to the people!... to THE PUBLIC!...

...Laura is devastated... she is in the bunker locking herself out from the World now... what a silly silly silly girl!... now she is sucking up Alex's arse... she is so out of options now it seems... Evelyn does the old 'TJ' trick from many years back and locks herself into a suitcase as a 'present' to Alex... (it's already been done sweetie)... Laura now wants to 'talk' to Jackson for voting for her... she threatens him 'not to do it again'... isn't that against the rules?... hmmmmmm!...

...now she's talking to herself calling Jackson a 'little shit!'... (that is so true!... well said girl but you have only just noticed that?... sheesh!... now Jason is 're-evaluating himself... end of show... cheers.

...I just watched BOTS (thanks again Rison) and I so hope that I never see or hear of that little shithead Ryan again in my entire lifetime... he is such a horrible piece of dog turd...his dirty foul little mouth needs to be punched by somebody to shut him up... he sickens me!... that old dear on BOTS had a lot of good things to say about Jason and I so agree with her... kudos to her for saying so too...overall the show was pretty okay but it would've been a whole lot better without that putrid little Dung Beetle Ryan on the show... cheers.

The (same) crowd that turn up every week does not represent the UK public, nor does it even represent the people who are even watching the show.

Even with the decline of the audience over the years there's still more variety to it than the crowd that boos at evictions, both that and the BOTS audience tend to represent the producers line which is always quite narrow, more a rent-a-mob than anything. And of course political views have little to do with Big Brother discussion too.

also emma did better interviewing ryan, especially calling him out on being derogatory and saying he's been annoying and infuriating ahahaha

It was quite funny to me how she kept adding the qualifier that he was annoying, must have irked him. :D The whole bin bag thing didn't come across as very clever either.

I don't disagree with what you have said, and really I do agree with it in a lot of ways. I suppose I'm looking at it from the uk audience and it seems it has not been favourable towards Jason's actions, especially after watching the bots episode, and other reality stars are chiming in about it too. I didn't realise she was the favourite- I'm genuinely shocked, just as I am that Jackson now is. I really thought Hughie would be s favourite.

I agree with the audiences reaction though because Jason has been fixated on coming across as the nice guy and seems to have used Charlie to victimise himself so he highlights just how good he is, but then turns around and does that. It was a shock. You can't say you are not playing games or a game player when you just played. Even using survival reasons as one does not prove that. I think he held a grudge against her and waited for the opportunity. That's fine, but he can't say he is not a game player anymore. I also didn't like that after evicting her he then decides to say he doesn't agree with leaving a 9 month at home... Sorry, but to add insulting comments like that just shows his vindictive side.

I don't want him to win based on my opinion I do think he is fake and up until that move he played he has done nothing in the house. Just like I think Jackson being the favourite is absurd because besides his romance story, he hasn't done anything since, unless getting emotional is something.

For me, Hughie, Jayne, Ryan and Evelyn are winners.

The thing is though I'm slowly losing interest and not sure I care who wins as much as I did before. It's not the contestants but when Chelsea left, well more how he left, I just felt off about the show. It's the shows format of evicting that ruined it in the end for me

Hughie apparently has support but I find him rather blinkered. I wonder if his rants will cost him support or just be seen as some camp silliness as with Nadia years back. Jackson's coming across as a wimp with his crying. Jayne is coming across better recently as she hasn't been saying she wants to leave.

The whole gameplay issue is always given a negative slant. BB make out that it's bad with the questions they ask and I think that has guided the audience over the years to demand that HMs say they are not playing a game, even when they all obviously are. It's just that some don't play the game very well, and that can be entertaining in a car crash way for a while but eventually they outlast their welcome, like some of the latest evictees. Some seem to equate 'playing a game' with lying and backstabbing, though that definitely doesn't have to be the case.

Just going by the HLs we get it's hard to judge the Jason/Charlie thing fairly. Most of the audience are definitely siding strongly with Jason, and giving Charlie too much hate for my liking. They were likely both playing a game, but at cross purposes with each other.

...Laura is in the Diary Room in a last desperate bid to influence the public into getting Jason out was so pathetic... and she says that she's not 'playing the game?... riiiiiiiight!... she tells Big Brother that she can see 'slyness'... oh really Laura?... yes I can too... in YOU!...

I don't like to disagree with you Sticky because I find that most of the time we read it all pretty much the same way.

In this case however I must protest. Laura might be a game player but isn't that what it's all about? And if she was able to cover up her tactics to a great extend when compared to Jackson or pretty much everybody else, the better for her. It shows that her grey cells are still intact.

I must digress and mention Andy here. Despite of what I thought was a sly distortion of the facts on his part, re the sacking or not because of his stance regarding the gay community, I find that he has tackled and overcome that momentary crisis to his credit. He consequently chose his path and stuck to a way of integrity, for this he deserves credit. However, this is not to say that he didn't play the game, and why shouldn't he? He is smart.

Back to Laura. As I mentioned as soon as Marco had been evicted that her dallying with the ape-man was a bad choice on her part, had partly been forgotten because she carried herself well and for lack of better words, was decent and amiable. During all that time, I could actually understand what she was saying and the reason for that was not only because of her mild accent, but also because she could actually string two sentences together that made sense.
Honestly..... who else of the HMs was able to do that? Not even our beloved Queen Emma 'Sumo Wrestler' Willis can do this most of the time.

Now to the episode in the DR. I actually believed her. I think she might have been a bit inebriated, but her claim that she would ignore or something rather the booers in the crowd and that her friends and family knew her and loved her for who she is sounded pretty sincere to me.

To sum this up, game playing or not, Laura and Andy (again) are for me the most sincere people in the house. Evelyin often comes a close third when she doesn't stumble.

As regards Ryan - the word 'derogatory' is still a mystery to him - surprise surprise.

And what about Ned Kelly aka Sam... doesn't he always fall apart when a girl asks him a serious question? You never know whether he's gonna cry, his had is going to explode or he's about to throw a tantrum. What a wanker.

I prefer Laura to Evelyn, she seems more natural and doesn't try really hard to make an impression. I think Jason is himself as much as Andy at least. Didn't like Andy in the latest episode, some have suggested he's critical of Jason as he heard the boos from the crowd.

Latest episode: Jason hatchet job and a huge promotion of Hughie. Particularly through the use of DR comments to support that storyline.
