Also I’d like to mention the lack of sex ed in schools. Now, I graduated in 2019, but still I felt that I didn’t get much of a general understanding and emotional discussion around sexual relationships, behaviours & even orientation. A lot of it was quite heteronormative. I personally like many teens, learnt from porn. For me specifically gay porn (we love cocks very much here).
Going against Uncut is neglects the possibility of teens not having any accurate understanding of sexual encounters and conversations. Kids & teens in today’s world are learning about sex from social media. This just happened to be a pioneer in being sexual conversations into mainstream media. Again Big Brother & Gretel we’re ahead of their time.

Whilst on the topic of uncut, i do find it curious the differences between the incidences in 2005 compared to the infamous turkey slap the following year. Is it different because Camilla was “pinned down”? The thing with Michael and Gianna was harmless for the most part but her initial reaction combined with the fact everyone was laughing would suggest to me it’s worse than the turkey slap, compared to Camilla who didn’t really seem to mind. Plus hotdog and Glenn’s was particularly unwelcome. Personally I don’t actually think either event required serious action, although I understand they violated the rules of BB and all things had potential for hugely negative consequences and they were addressed by the show, but watching it knowing what came the following year is interesting.

Both acts where the same behaviour. The reaction from both the public and regulators was progressive. Obviously the Turkey Slap was treated in a more serious manner because the same type of behaviour happened over consecutive series. The acts themselves were the same regardless of the reaction to them… Although I think John and Ashley were treated differently because they were warned pre-series where as Glen hadn’t been.

That makes a lot of sense, a cumulative response. I feel like the first instance with Gianna was probably the worst but it was just that, the first. But I guess in 2006 they had no excuse and no one could plead ignorance, neither the contestants nor the production company, and I guess they were already under investigation so didn’t want to take any chances.

There was also a snippet I saw in the uncut finale where Rachael pins down Geneva and threatens to kiss her to ‘prove how Bi she is’, apparently it was an ongoing thing between the two after Rachael announced it but ‘had only been with a few girls’.
It’s played off as humourous but it was giving me similar vibes in retrospect as the slap but obviously without the turkey to the face, and it being girl on girl double standard perhaps as well.
Also Heath nearly got turfed for the same reasons as Warwick Capper in the 2002 CBB by exposing himself in a lewd way in front of Rita didn’t he?

Nah. Which is why I wish I'd been older around the time of BB06 because to this day I still believe Danielle is the most attractive housemate of any Ten/9-era BBAU series (havent seen enough of the 7 era to really compare).
Allegedly Heath was responsible for turkey slap 1.0, only it wasn't shown on feeds and only alluded to / discussed by the housemates.

Yeah I don’t think we have much in common in that regard.
For me Ed was too generically good looking. I don't like the whole tall dark and handsome or the large muscles. Drew is more my type with the long hair.

I guess I’m a sucker for basic clean cut jockish guys… I typically prefer guys shorter than me but definitely in to guys with dark hair, eyes, and a bit of scruff although none of those features are necessarily deal breakers.
Drew is a good looking guy but not what I would go for if given other options.
I found Ed too boring, but in fairness Drew probably was boring too and I may be placing too much bias towards Drew. But as a high schooler exploring sexuality, Drew was my sexual awakening.

My attraction to him is based on looks alone… I’ve watched very little of his series although I’ve heard he’s quite bland in the personality department.
I didn’t actually come out or admit that I was gay until I was about 21 or 22 so I don’t think I really had a “type” until then… Early years of BB I remember having a thing for Will Kirby (although not a fan of his preference for being completely hairless), Eric (BB3), and Roddy although at the time any guy that looked good with a shirt off would have had my attention.
I was 13 so I got going pretty quickly. Pre BB being revived I was umming and ahing if I was gay, saw Drew wearing a pair of red aussiebums in the beauty pageant task and I was like yep, I'm definitely gay.
I am very attracted to BB2 Will Kirby. I also prefer to be hairless so he wins more points with me for that. Eric and Roddy would have to be my last favourite archetypes in all reality TV archetypes. Too dad like for me.
Some of my fave hotties from BBUS include; Will Kirby, Jason Guy, Nathan Marlow, Nick Starcevic, Hayden Moss, Cody Calafiore, Tyler Crispin, Travis Long and Christian Birkenberger. Hayden, Tyler, Travis and Christian being the closest to my offical type.

I feel like we need a thread to discuss this type of thing now
… A few overlaps in that list. Will I could never get past the shaved armpits. Manscaping is alright but I think he took that to a different level. Jason was alright looking but far too innocent and nice. Nathan had a nice body but not much else. Definitely attracted to Nick. I’d take Paulie over Cody any day although Cody does have a nice bum.
To bring it back to BBAU pre my rewatch if I was to say who the hottest housemates were per season I'd say;
