I still like the Blockbuster and don't think it killed strategy. It killed the strategy of "HoH has one and only one target and sets up the week to get out this target and the house follows". Get your hands dirty and don't be afraid of having two targets.. Sure, one will definitely survive the eviction, but it's not going to ruin your game.
They might want to look into evolving the blockbuster though. I've read one idea to have the HoH play in the blockbuster as well and then have them take somebody off the block if they win, kinda like a way for them to gain some social credit. Not fully decided if I like it or not.. but that's the advice I'd give production: don't be afraid to try something out. Have it as a twist one week, if it works, you can adopt it permanently the next year.
It's nice to see though that US folks still seem to care for the integrity of the format. While I'm sure that especially some people on Twitter/Bluesky would be less vocal now if it was Vince or Kelley that got evicted (despite now claiming otherwise), the majority of viewers still respect the show and its rules. You don't see this that often anymore...
