Are we seriously getting no live updates at all this year?

These are small 2 minute interviews that rarely got posted.
I don't post full episodes and mostly post things that DON'T get uploaded by official channels.

True, I don't own the copyright, so I'm the bad guy, but this is just petty.
 
@buck07 So they've decided now to worry about year old vids that everyone's already seen but not reply to family members of HMs or even feedback comments/calls?

All this regulation going on makes things seem so uneventful. Big Brother is supposed to be a "big" show. Instead, they're simply doing the bare minimum to generate profit. If you watch the three "daily shows" each week, you'll see that everything is manipulated and edited. It seems that the whole country thinks Frankie is given a great edit. Maybe they'll do the same on this show to Jason (or someone similar).

It just makes zero commercial sense. Most shows are falling over themselves to have a social media/online/360 presence (or whatever you want to call it) and BB can at the very least feed that by live updates from the house. Historically though the show has also shown you can monetise it through live feeds - something any show launching today would die for.

Even if it's not out and out profitable it is a valuable loss leader - even more so today with Twitter etc. - it's a round the clock publicity tool and all the evidence from the earlier series show that things happening on the feeds actually bring viewers to the show, not stop them watching.

Most of the actors housemates are reading over their scripts enjoying their liquid breakfast in the lounge while the ninjas set up for todays shoot games.

Meanwhile Jake is in the producers office diary room complaining about his lack of screen time food saying he 'Didn't sign up for this'.
 
Curse you Consuela! My firefox froze before I could see anything below "Lights Camera Action - Day 04" and I got my hopes up that the live updates had returned!

Tragic news hits the actors-- er, housemates. Some of them have been behind on their Equity union dues, including Big Brother himself! No worries, they'll be automatically taken out of this week's paychecks.
 
This is completely unacceptable! Big brother has always been about us. The feeds is what makes it unlike any other thing on TV. The reason why it one of the most watch program Worldwide. I don't take kindly to someone spitting in my face. PLEASE EVERYONE LET'S ANSWER THEIR SILENCE TO OUR QUESTION (WE'RE ARE THE LIVE FEEDS?) IN KIND. There are many places to watch the show via Internet. Let's all work to drop the ratings. Don't watch it when it airs, Don't visit the site to watch show, Don't vote on evictions & flood the feedback's with our question. Please Please Please help me fight for our show

So does this mean we'll all be watching it on YouTube together?
 
Well, If we watched it on YouTube then there would be less ratings and maybe that would make Alex realise there's something wrong with the show. Maybe that would give him the kick in the ass he needs to know the show IS HORRIBLE this year, and the possibly 10 minutes of unedited footage we might see in each episode is absolutely CRAP. Might as well watch Home & Away!
Like @the Theorist said it's not housemates, the house or any of the power play stuff — it's how the production is being done that's ruining this show and without live feeds we get a nice cut down version of what they want us to see, which makes no sense in voting as they've obviously got someone that's going "to win".
 
Oh and with them controlling everything we see, even taking down years old YouTube videos that is just absolutely ludicrous — I won't be voting this year (and that's a chunk of money) it's a reality show Alex, not a fucked up version of home and away.

Sorry about my rant, maybe I should post an article and post the URL all over Big Brother.
 
It's even hard to form early opinions on housemates, not only because of lack of content from updates, but because of the editing of the daily show which doesn't give context to some of the things people say. Editing conversations and putting things out of order may play to their own agenda and narrative but it doesn't mean that's they way it really happened or at least not the full story..

The OS is irritating me too with their attempts at groupthink via their biased titles etc ' "7 moments we fell in love with Skye" (umm no).
Let us make our own decisions based on the little information we're given, gees.

Being already frustrated I'm finding is severely impacting on my enjoyment of watching it too. Think maybe I'll just try to put the irritation with the production part of it out of my mind tonight before watching the show so I can just try to focus on the housemates themselves.
 
I have been a fan of big brother since probably season 2, and this new stuff is just boring edited crap. No live content only stuff they want us to see. I thought last year was bad, but geez that was gold in comparison. What is wrong with them?? Why are they destroying this awesome concept??

Please let channel 10 get it back after this horrible run on channel 9. Even channel 7 could probably do better than 9.

At least we have UK celebrity right now..
 
Unless they are going to start economically exploiting old episodes, than why would they care?

Probably just a case of not actually thinking but just reacting. So many content owners do this.

Home & Away? I'm down for that. After all, that's where we got a large number of Power Rangers actors. Did you know H&A is distributed by Endemol in New Zealand? (Check Wikipedia.)
