Are teachers the best housemates?

I have noticed that two significant housemates in both 2013 and 2014 have both been teachers. Priya and Mikkayla. Im not saying theyre the best but both Priya and Mikkayla are great in the sense you either love them or you hate them, they divide opinions both inside the house and outside. What do you guys think?

I think to be a highschool teacher you really have to be strong. Priya and Mikkayla are that. It made me so sad to see Priya almost on the verge of tears tonight when talking to Dave. Just like Mikkayla, she is strong and yet vulnerable at the same time, which polarises people - those who only see the strength and think its arrogance... and those who see both sides and love them!

Why didn't you just comment in the Priya Appreciation Thread?

Priya hasn't embarrassed herself as a teacher.

Jeez, if Mikkayla was my teacher and I saw her on Big Brother, I'd love to take the piss out of her and tell her that Tahan rules!

I think the most compelling characters are always those who are the most divisive. They definitely attract an interesting type of fan-atacisim on Big Brother. Those characters and the underdog in any situation on television and in life, are what I'm drawn to. It's interesting they're both been teachers and it seems like they share similar traits which is probably essential in their work.

I think in general people with higher education make the best housemates. Priya, Lina, Drew, Tim...

Lina has been in the house all of 10 seconds and Tim has taken 10 years to get a degree that requires a 75 ATAR (Not dissing I am just saying its not the hardest of courses). I dont think this is the reason.

its definitely not the only reason, but university is an experience that forces you to interact with numerous people in an academic AND social situation... which no doubt helps in a game like big brother.

Wait did people on here like Mikkayla?
She was pretty well-liked on here until she started to lose the plot a bit as the season went on. People were loving how she kept managing to be saved in Showdowns and it was firing up the other HMs. Oh and also the her vs Tahan thing. They saw her as the underdog against mean girl Tahan until the whole "fell in a hole" comment by Jade and then many seemed to ditch Mikk and Jade and turned to Tahan.
