I did feel sorry for poor Costa though he was not getting any love from the crowd but I guess what can you expect. Then again another part of me was happy he got some shit now he's leaving for Chelsea.

I dunno about that. It may not have been a 'blatant' dive but there was no contact between the Dutch defender and the Spanish player and if there was it was the slightest of touches by the trailing foot. The Spanish player's only saving grace is that he accidentally fell on his own two feet but somehow I doubt that it was a purely accidental slip at that point.

Everybody that watched the match seems to agree that there was no penalty so... :whistling:

I was afraid to watch since we are doomed - good match was it? I hear we played 2nd half very well.

Just watched some replay - Timmy Cahill deserves a statue/Aussie of the year/his own island and anything else we can throw at him. Legend.
Fancy that, scored at every WC, and some mega stars never ever score at WC.

Can't say I share your interest in matches between the euro teams. England is the same old same old basic mashed potatoes style of football, couple of long crosses and passes here and there with little creative flair in between whilst the Italians are the masters at parking the bus and trying to score on a swift counter attack, also known as their beloved catenaccio. Thanks but I think I'll pass.

good game, respectable. England dominated possession in the 2nd half but couldn't produce

i am ready for the main course as well, both great teams, happy for either to win it

no dessert today :(

and Yay USA good game, pretty impressive to score 32 seconds into the game and not concede a goal for as long as they did.
