Do we have a politics thread to discuss things political?

…I don’t usually dabble into the politics of the USA but couldn’t resist posting this… it’s so funny… cheers.

As they said on Planet America, they're drawing big crowds, while Trump is barely doing any rallies. I'd really thought Biden had left it too late and screwed any chances the Democrats had, but it may have been a blessing in disguise the way things seem to be going.
I honestly thought we were heading towards another 2016 and that Trumps vicious attacks (especially on woman/POC) would end up working to his benefit. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that basically all of his attacks seem to be working against him and only helping the Harris/Walz campaign build momentum.

Biden dropping out when he did wouldn’t have worked as well if he didn’t come right out and name Kamala as his successor. Any sort of primary or challenge to her wholesale takeover of the campaign would have made the candidate swap an unmitigated disaster.

They'd have known that it would be suicidal to start the process from scratch at that stage. I'm glad she's charismatic, enthusiastic and quite likeable. She's literally the anti-Trump. She's free of the baggage that Hillary and Biden carried, and now Trump's lost that advantage and doesn't quite know what to do.
