…more shit stirring…I know that I shouldn’t even be uttering these words… just it imagine the horrified looks of complete embarrassment on the Labour and Liberals faces if someone like Clive Palmer won the election lol!… it would be pure gold to see on TV!… 😂🤣😅🥲😆… cheers.

LOL! It's doesn't sound that crazy mate, there are many out there that are just sick of the Labs and Libs over all their crap and knifing of leaders over the last few years that many will vote for any independents because they are over the big 2 political parties.

People get really stuck on there only being two options. And maybe with your preferential voting that is what it comes back to - I won't pretend I understand your voting system! But do like the idea of looking at what the smaller parties and independents have to offer and not just feeling like you have to vote blue or red.
 
I have noticed during the last few weeks and just today that any signs being put up around the place advertising to vote for the "UAP" (United Australia Party) aren't around for too long before someone goes around and quickly removes all of them. Today I saw about 3 new big signs to vote for "UAP" on the side of the road as I was heading to the supermarket, on the way out of the supermarket I saw a bloke folding and shoving those "UAP" signs into the back of his SUV and quickly driving off..lol

It's not hard to work out possibly which political parties are going around the place to quickly take down anything to do with the "United Australia Party". It's getting pretty tense before the election around here and I guess the major 2 parties want as many votes to go their way and not towards any "Independents"..LOL!

There is even an article in the free local paper here in Melbourne that in a certain area any signage to do with the "UAP" are quickly removed from viewing but signs from other political parties like Labor, Liberal, Greens and even Socialists all remain in place...funny that don't you think? LOL!

Every day I check news.com.au to just see what negative Albo headlines they have. I barely see any stories at all about Morrison. There's always an "Albo did bad" one. It's how I think I keep tabs on what the incurious masses are absorbing.

I have to admit, I am not really paying attention to any of the election cycle.

Does anyone else just cringe at the lame gotcha questions? Who is that for? Why is that the standard level of discourse?

Same on both counts. Some so-called journalists seem to think scoring points by asking lame arse gotcha questions is their job. They need to go back to journalism school.

Two weeks today plus a few hours we can tune in with our popcorn and watch it all unfold.
 
…it pisses me off when some reporters (that are probably Liberal implants anyway) are so hellbent on making a name for themselves ask obvious ‘ambush’ type of questions… it shows to me that they just want to ‘catch them out’ when they can’t remember all the facts at that particular time… nobody has a perfect memory at all times… nobody… Albo does forget at times and he readily admits it… it shows that he’s human… Scomo is such an accomplished polished bullshitter that he just deflects the question until he either remembers the fact or just ignores answering it altogether… at least Albo tries to answer it eventually…

…if I was a Politician I would stop the interview… ask that particular reporter his name and repeat it out loud for everyone to hear… then tell them all that he would never be allowed into one of my Press interviews again (especially if I became Prime Minister)… perhaps then the rest of the press will only ask proper questions again… you’d only have to do that a couple of times again and then the quality of the relevant questions would only be asked…

...do you notice that whenever ‘ambush’ questions are asked… they are always with a young voice whose balls have only just dropped?… they’re pathetic… they are as pathetic as young protesters egging Politicians from behind in public… they should be given gaol sentences… those type of reporters and protesters wouldn’t last long with me I’ll tell you… cheers.
 
…what about when reporters ask an obvious question to a killer as they are being transferred into a car… “did you kill such and such?” after they’ve been thoroughly interrogated by the Police for hours on end… what will the killer do?… break down and say… “yes I did!… however did you know?… it’s such a burden off my chest!… thank god you asked me young pimply reporter… l’m so relieved!…“… seriously… why ask such a stupid obvious question?… it’s pathetic!… cheers.

Asking questions that can be googled. So not actually about holding politicians to account for their policies. "Can you remember this?" As opposed to scrutiny. I wonder who it works for. I suspect no one. Even the most diehard liberal supporters probably aren't going, "OMG ALBO DIDN'T REMEMBER!!!"

It's just that general sense of pushing a negative vibe towards Labor. Not actually covering the election and the issues. I've always felt that there's just a background vibe put out that dictates the elections.

I am also consistent in being against this stupidity. I thought it was dumb when they asked Morrison how much bread is.
 
I am now committed to ignoring the entire election campaign. I’m happy to vote based on pre-campaign performance, it’ll be a better indicator of future performance than any nonsense that gets talked about at election time.

I stumbled on this ad for the "Greens" on the web, oh well it seems that when it comes to the "Greens" you also have to "Google It Mate" when you want to see an ad campaign from this political party. Maybe the "Greens" are getting political donations from "Google"? LOL! :D


The "Greens" put people first? Well not from the various news articles i've read about the many "Greens" councillors that are now in power at various councils around Melbourne...

I think socially we actually have a left-wing bias in this country! Have a centre-right opinion in a casual conversation about politics and see what happens.

No definately not, I usually read these articles in a free local Melbourne rag, and to prove a point the editor of this rag has a dislike for Scomo, so i'm assuming it's certainly not Murdoch news sources?. We also got a local "Greens" councillor here and we used to sometimes receive some information from the previous councillor who was a past Labor candidate then turned independant. I would have to say the the previous councillor was a much better person for the job than the current good for nothing never hear from again useless "Greens" councillor. It's not a one off story that this local rag has criticized "greens" councillors around Melbourne. It's been an ongoing thing I have been reading for the last 6 months or so.

Let's just say I never voted for a local "greens" councillor (and never will), also I don't know why even local councils have become some sort of battleground for political parties, I tell you it's like a federal election on a local council level... :rolleyes:
