Last movie you saw

People are just too negative on the internet.

Also, there really has been some rubbish in the cinemas lately.

People are terrible, but there's also a lot of rubbish talked about it. People need to stop treating the internet as a canvas of widespread opinion. There are people saying everything, good, bad, awful, nothing, pointless, extreme, stupid, silly etc. People can have examples to put forward whatever narrative they want.

Its all a subjective view. But previously subjective views required some time and process to be heard. thusly indirectly requiring actual thought.
Now you fart out loud and everyone can smell the nascent stench immediately..

Yep. Allow anyone anything. all under the guise of pretence and anonymity. Some get their jolly follies tho.
Each to their own should be the internet "masthead"

Zack Snyder's Justice League

Finally got to check this out after the 4K blu-ray release. I personally really liked Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. So it's no surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed this. The 4 hours just flew by. Quite an epic film. I really hope that the stars that aligned to allow us to finally see this, align again for them to make a sequel.

For those unaware of what this is in relation to the film that came out a few years ago. Zack Snyder made Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. He was in the process of finishing a Justice League film and had to depart in post-production due to a family tragedy. The studio hired Joss Whedon to come in to "Fix" the film and he ended up destroying it. He did a tonne of reshoots, changed plotlines, removed plotlines added odd dialogue and scenes. Basically made a complete mess. I'm tempted to rewatch that version, apparently, after seeing this it is confounding some of the changes they made.

After years of the fans demanding it, Zach Snyder was given a bunch of money to finish his original film. Nothing Whedon did is in this. It's all the original film as Zack shot it. With an epilogue shot especially for this and some other tweaks and scenes. It's quite something to behold. As Zack could finish the film however he wanted, we got this new version split into 6 chapters over 4 hours. Which makes it easier if you want to watch in sections.

No CGI mouth on Superman. No Ben Affleck going back and forth in chubbiness and a wig. The whole flash and cyborg storylines are so much better. No pointless plot detours with a family at the end. The villain is much better this time around. It's good!
good analysis but I'm MCU over DC & (blush) can't wait to see my Twilight crush Rob Pattinson as The Batman. Tenet was so interesting & Christopher Nolan was a bit interested in what Rob was auditioning haha
ben is busy w/jlo anyway

Yeah. I implied that. Its universal.. Agree. Too tired to extrapolate needlessly.

Thanks but no thanks. Ive read opinions of it by die hard mcu fans who blindly loved whilst being confused as f early on.
Lucille ball set to extrapolate to bigger events in the MCU? LOL. Think Ill repectfully pass.
That vision (lol) and daring is beyond my feeble comprehension.

Big post.

I don't believe in favourite movies or even ranking favourites.

I just have stuff that I love. Whether it's the first two original Star Wars films. Back to the Future. Starship Troopers, the first Kingsman, the First Kick Ass. To Ben Hur. To Alien & Aliens. To Christmas Vacation. To Casino Roayle and a love of the good and bad of the Bond franchise. I love The Sound of Music. I unapologetically love the Fast & Furious films. I saw Parasite in theatres before it was a known hit and thought it was amazing.

My girlfriend causes me of liking everything, but that's not true. Plenty of shit I don't like. I thought Joker was trash and was in the minority for that. I just am not negative and give stuff a shot. I haven't seen it a second time, but that Mortal Engines film was fantastic. One of the best theatrical experiences of recent years. The first few Die Hards. I adore a little known movie called 'The Fall' which no one has heard of. That film is so beautiful.

I'm all over the place.

The worst is when you see those articles, "People are freaking out about Fuzz's fart post" and it's a couple of randoms on twitter cherry picked.

Ben would be back for Batman in Snyder Cut Part 2. He left the role after the Joss Whedon experience. He was going to do his own film and left it after that. I personally think he was a really good Batman. Ben returned to shoot new scenes for Snyder cut. That show's he's keen. Along with the others who returned.

They are going to lean heavily into the alternate versions, so it's fine to have many batman and supermans.

Pattison's film is rumoured to be a mess.

Wandavision was hit and miss. I just don't think the writing respected how well written the old sitcoms were. I don't think the writers had the knowledge or respect to properly emulate them. I can chuck on an old Lucy and find it as funny as anything today if not more so. Wandavision was just, "hey isn't this comedy lame, isn't that funny."

I much preferred Falcon and the Winter Soldier even though it had issues.

The best was reading on Reddit when die-hard MCU fans were arguing that Wandavision was meant to be shit with the old sitcom stuff. Like that was the joke.

Good choice of films. The Sound of Music is great. I personally prefer the more classical Connery or Moore type Bond because that type of ridiculous spy stuff belongs in that era. Trying to make Bond realistic is ludicrous. He's a guy who drives cars underwater and fights villains in elaborate volcano lairs. You can't be gritty and realistic after that.

Actually Bond should just take inspiration from the fast and furious franchise and re-embrace their ridiculous nature.

That would be more akin to Die Another Day. Widely considered one of the worst Bond films. Although honestly, for all the cheese, it's still very entertaining. That's the best part about Bond, even the objectively worse films can be more entertaining than better ones.
