...I was looking at some articles on that show... the students look to me like they would be close to the age of leaving School to me... if this show went for say... 5 years... would they be having different students each year?... let's face it... you can't have 25 year olds playing 18/19 and 20 year old students can you?... or is this show only expected to run for one season?... lol!... cheers.

Maybe it's the sci fi Beverly Hills 90210? :p
 
I expect a moving cast, ie, we will get core teachers etc, possibly a small core of younger ones, and the rest will be a moveable feast.
Poms, I have never seen them fall into that US trap of casting pretty young adults as kids - they usually just use kids, real kids, real age.

And we have precedents with Sarah Jane, real kids, some changed.

Filming Broadchurch no 3, last one. I now love Olivia she is awesome, in interviews she is good fun too.

Remember some old poster who predicted DT would have no luck post DW, Dersperhaps???
He is lauded on stage and screen for his fine work, so is Matt - in a few films now.

I think it's actually pretty common for people in their mid to late 20's to play high school students. Or at least in the shows involving high school i have seen (Press Gang, Glee).

Speaking of Press Gang it is interesting how this is kind of related to Class because of the high school setting. Apparently Steven's father was a Head teacher at a Primary school. I was a bit surprised to read that Moffat didn't come up with that Class show. But i hope the guy who created it looked at Press Gang a lot. If nothing else to see how to write a top notch show!

Matt has a lot of projects coming out soon, and is romancing that gorgeous Lily from Downton, he plays Prince Phillip in one...
And Jenna is apparently awesome as young Queen Vic, that has just been confirmed for a 2nd series. Good to see them doing well.

Hi nutmeg!

I haven't watched Class yet, but I recorded it for tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

I'm also still watching the classic series in order, up to Pertwee now.
 
Love the first episode, it's like a cross between Doctor Who, the Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood and Beverly Hills 90210. What could be better?

Ooooooo, I haven't had time to catch Class yet, that does sound good.
You like the cast I take it.

Yes the cast are excellent, sort of like the Sarah Jane cast.
