...Matt is always great when he cooks on his own but whatever team he gets lumbered with always brings him down sadly... it will be a team event that will ultimately kill him off if he goes methinks!... cheers.
 
school at was trying to write that it was life changing. The kids that I taught in Vietnam taught me so much more than I taught them. Of course I got the naughty boys class. Story of my life! Love love naughty boys. We were leaving the school at midday. They do morning amnd afternoon classes. Same teachers different kids. They had this huge soccer match. I asked the boys whether soccer or homework was more important. They looked at me aghast. Well homework of course.

What a lovely story. I think you just highlighted why Masterchef works.
It's not really the winner that matters, it's the helping hand they may get, or that last bit of confidence they need to just go for it.

Yes me too. He is so humble and full of enthusiasm. A geniune love of people. I've got two of his books and has school in Hoi An ( one of my favourite places in the world. I emailed him because I would be so happy to teach there. I can't really afford it at the moment, but I'd still love to do it. I was lucky enough to get a study tour to Vietnam. Life c

...wow Desertsands... colour me impressed my friend... a friend of mine has visited nearly every Asian country at one time or another and says that Vietnam was his favourite by far... and you are so right about Luke... he is so humble and full of enthusiasm and really does have a genuine love of people... I love his Asian cooking programmes when he is cooking on the streets and in little villages... I'm so looking forward to his appearance on the show on Sunday... cheers.

...yes... you have me intrigued too... I'm really thinking of going to that Spanish Restaurant 3 kms away from me now... it's definitely on my 'to do' list now for sure... cheers.
 
Wouldn't it be great if Masterchef went all the way back and showed the what the contestants who actually went into cooking in some form were doing, are doing? We all know where some are at, but not all wanted to be on TV.
 
I so love this thread (no haven't gone to bed yet) hehe.

I love that we can talk seriously about M.C with the added B.S (you know what that stands for?;)) and just have bloody fun along the way.

Watching the Broncos/Raiders game. Then I shall be off to "Bedfordshire"😴

...I just looked at their website and their menu's... the food sounds great and looks like pretty good reasonable prices... thanks for that Desertsands... another on my eventual 'to do' list lol!... thanks for tracking that down for us... cheers.
