Masterchef 2016

I am the big "Hawaii 50" next year so does that make me old too?

Not a friggen chance.

I will be the one who get's kicked out of the nursing home for running amok when my time comes.

Forever young :joyful:

Yeah, that'll be me too.

...if you both live to 100 years old then your lives are only halfway over at half a century lol!... you know the glass half full half empty thing ;):whistling::biggrin:... lol!... cheers.

Hey gang~! Just got home, about to start watching now without reading anything in here. Hopefully the right person is eliminated tonight.

...hey Meglos!... been out enjoying your Birthday eh?... I hope that you partied on big time?... lol!... the one booted out was... it was... Happy Birthday MEGLOS!!!!!!... (ha!... tricked you!)... cheers.

You know, you hit the nail on the head, and it is sad that some don't look at years that way. I know if I carked it tomorrow, my family would miss me, but I have enjoyed my life. But I have so many more adventures to go on, experiences to, well, experience.
Probably a little too deep for a MC thread. Desertsands, if you can, do. You won't regret it. :)

Oh thanks! Forgot about Cher, and then there's Dolly Parton, still going strong.
My grandmother decided to be old at 40. My mother decided to be at about 60.
The moral of the story is, don't decide. LOL

Moral of the story. If you feel young at heart, stay that way and don't let your age be a barrier.

Exhibit (A) me :wacky:

...as my signature says... Growing old is compulsory... growing up is optional... ;):biggrin:... cheers.

...the way that I look at Life itself (especially after having had 2 strokes) is that sadly... babies die at birth so for me to make almost 63 years old is a blessing that I appreciate with every breath that I take... so as I see it... be thankful for small mercies no matter how many aches and pains that you get as you grow older... Life is precious... (sorry that I got so deep just then too... apologies in advance)... :) cheers.

I take great credence in the greek philosophers.

Apology not accepted. Totally true post.
Can't remember who said it, but youth is wasted on the young. Sounds Oscar Wilde-ish
After MC is over, perhaps an old farts thread? LOL

Omg, haha guess what I did in my lunch break today?

I google voice searched the word "Malaka" to find out the correct meaning of the word (Being a Greek saying) and Google lady voice says, "Malacca is a Malaysian state on the Malay Penninsula's southwest coast.

I am like WTF:wtf: Nooooooo, that is not what Anastacia from Gogglebox is expressing when watching shows she is reviewing.

Damn, I lmao though when I found the correct meaning of the word (Not using bloody Google voice search).

Malaka = Wanker :laugh:

BEST LUNCH BREAK EVER! LOL
Kinda figured it meant something along the wanker lines, considering how/when she uses it.

Oh, I just thought about last night watching Masterchef and myself, you and Fuzz (great picture she put up) lolling about the word "Malaka" and thought I would find out what the word actually meant hence my voice google search today.

Word to the wise. Don't use "Google voice search" for researching info. ;)

Seems I was wrong about Elena. Not only does she exist, but she can cook! Who woulda thunk it, as Mr sticky would say.
I'm happy with Miles going home. Lovely bloke but a bit out of his depth.
Still not sure about Zoe and her "pumpkin is a fruit". Anyone know?
Why did the judges complain about her pastry being too "blonde", then tell her that the filling was the only problem?
