Celebrity Big Brother UK - January 2016

John. Sorry, not sorry... but I like John. I think he said what he said about Darren out of true concern. If you've dealt with addicts, you can't pussy foot around them & John was right. One slip can lead to another. Sometimes a shock is what is needed. I really believe that he can be quite manipulative but I really think that nomination for Darren was done from the heart. Plus when he did the lip sync battle he was fucking amazing!!! :D he has all the qualities of a great housemate. If he gets kicked out before the oh so amazingly interesting Kristina it will be an absolute travesty.

I mean, I think nominating someone for their addiction issues in a large group setting and masking it as friendly advice is some next level griminess but to each their own

I get that it can seem that way. My brother was an alcoholic and a drug addict. When he got clean and fell off the wagon, no amount of talking to him, giving him advice ever ever did any good, so I can see why John did it. It was an acknowledgement to Darren that he could see what 'might' happen. The fact he did it in front of everyone else made sure Darren knew that everyone else was aware too. Therefore it's less likely that he would slip further. A wake up call if you would. It may seem like he was throwing him under the bus, but from what I saw, it was a genuine concern. To me, that made him a friend. He called him out. He made him aware. To me that's not grim. It's a wake up call. You gotta remember, you're not dealing with seemingly normal rational people. Addicts and recovering addicts have their very own rationale. One that non-addicts find very hard to understand.[DOUBLEPOST=1453012909][/DOUBLEPOST]
Wooohoooo another poster here who likes John

I'm not alone

TEAM JOHN! haha!

Have they? Shes currently 4th favorite to win. (with the bookies) and the least likely to leave on Tuesday?

I actually think Daniella will go. Strictly come dancing is one of the biggest shows over here and the pros seem to have lots of fans. Even though Kristina is insanely boring, im not surprised if she has a big fan base that will keep her it. It will be similar to Stevie and Cloe in last CBB.

Daniella on the other hand wasn't really popular before entering the house and I dont think she has attracted a lot of hardcore fans that will keep her in.

Well I am sorry my crystal ball might need some maintenance - it has been letting me down of late. I am stuck with it though as gambling and everything that has anything to do with it is strictly against my religion. I am told that "bookies" ply their trade in the gambling environment.

As for newfangled inventions of the devil himself such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder, Reddit and Fetlife I will have nothing to do with either because I do have a life and want to retain my sanity.

So, all the speculations that are being published on those destroyers of speech and finally the brain I am blissfully unaware of.

My enjoyment of BB consists of watching the daily show and BOTS... I am not interested in what the 'celebs' are famous for or what they did before they joined the gig, my evaluation of their behaviour and characters is solely based on what I see during those shows.
Some might find that a bit bland, lacking excitement and restricted, but I am having fun and I am pretty sure that I so far have managed to keep my sanity.

...and like it or not, quite often my take on things turn out to be spot on.

There's a few things that just don't sit well. Megan & Scotty T. When they first came in the house why were they acting as if they didn't really know each other that well... when in fact they both did a show called Ex on the Beach together? One theory is a showmance possibility on CBB.. that would raise their profiles etc. I just cannot look at Megan now without seeing that ugly ass face she had when she was screaming & carrying on like a pork chop. Every facial expression now she looks like a witch.

Now Scotty T is telling Jeremy that Stephanie is a grafter and he has her number. One of the other Geordie Shore lads (Gary) backed that up on Twitter. So Scotty is trying to warn off Jeremy. Makes me wonder if any of this would have come out had Scotty & Megan got it on and had their own storyline. I'm smelling the bullshit. It's wafting everywhere!!!

Gemma is exactly how she is on TOWIE. Nose in everyones business and stirring the pot at every opportunity. I'm not a fan but at least consistent.

Did not think I was gonna like Dianella.. but I really really like her. Christopher too. Would like to see more of Christopher.

David Gest.. same old same old. You don't see much of him. I'm wondering if he's just there to make special appearances now & then.

Kristina. She needs to go. She brings absolutely zero to the show apart from a clean kitchen.

Jeremy. For all his player tendencies that he showed in the first few days, he seems like a nice enough lad. He's definitely fallen for Steph, hook line & sinker. I get the feeling he's used to model type girls... not one of the lads type girls, that's probably why he's so attracted to Stephanie.

Stephanie. Wayyy too much make up. The smokers cough & the constant sniffing is a real turn off.

John. Sorry, not sorry... but I like John. I think he said what he said about Darren out of true concern. If you've dealt with addicts, you can't pussy foot around them & John was right. Darren Day.. seems a bit fragile to me. Often looks bewildered.

Angie. Proof that cocaine is one hell of a drug. Cantankerous old biddy but she is funny. That whole David Bowie carry on with Tiffany was absolutely one of the best big brother moments in history. I was in bits. You just could not make that shit up.

Tiffany. I really want her to stay. HBIC she is not but she definitely has a short fuse. She's a great housemate for that reason alone.

That's my view up till now.

Did I miss anyone?

You missed the alpha male Winston... oopsies :p

I disagree with much of what you say but at least you've got your own opinion which is quite a novelty around here. :)

GET WINSTON OUT!
GET WINSTON OUT!
GET WINSTON OUT!

haha.. I did forget him. Very silly man. A really really bad politician. He spoke like a politician though. Never answered anything. He really did need to leave, however I would have liked to see exactly just how deep a hole he could have dug for himself.

I also forgot Nancy. She was pretty merh for me. I found her quite cold and aloof and I stopped listening to her about 1 second after she opened her mouth. Boring ramble... zzZzzzZZz. No loss to the house.

"I need you to keep this to yourself, Tiffany... David's dead"
I couldn't help but think, if this situation happened in the BBAU house, BB would have asked Angie in the DR if she would like BB to advise the other HMs before she left he DR. But then none of this would have happened. Must have been ratings gold for CBB producers.

Yep that and the MeganMeltdown ... But also equaled complaints to Ofcom as well (communications regulator in the UK)

Total gold. With all due respect to the passing of Bowie, I bet the CBB team couldn't believe he passed while Angie was in the house.[DOUBLEPOST=1453019862][/DOUBLEPOST]

I reckon that meltdown was on par with Nikki Graham. Megan has to give us more.

And the fact it coincided with David G actually being unwell.

It was a sitcom moment!!

and in bed with the covers over his head LOL!!

There is another way to look at this though. 16 HMs to begin with, obviously some have to go asap. We need canon fodder. Winston is perfect. No matter which way you turn him on the spit there will be plenty to discuss for the HMs.
My guess is that he was a boxer before he became a politician i.e. most of his brain cells had already been obliterated before he entered politics. UKIP seemed to have accepted him because despite his damaged brain, he could relate to their policies and repeat their mantras with ease. For what reason he left or was let go we weren't told.
What concerns us is that the BB producers dug into his past and KNEW that he would be controversial most likely from day one. To make sure his outrageous attitudes would not go unnoticed, the dirt was presented during the task where HMs need to guess who made a particular statement in the past or who shagged whom.
Now with that"child abuse" remark out in the open, it could be milked and sensationalized all the way to the eviction and evicted he was. Everything per plan.

More canon fodder: Nancy...

EVERYBODY who has ever watched even a single episode of BB could foretell that she couldn't possibly last. Too much of this, too much of that... not enough of this, not enough of that, just not HM material. Perhaps the producers had been hoping for a little more drama but, as you mentioned shaydee, she was to aloof to get involved in those mundane quarrels. That alone however would get her evicted asap and the producers knew it.

Next one: Stephanie...

As I have mentioned previously, if it weren't for her "infidelity" there'd be nothing anybody could pin on her. But now that we have that "infidelity" we pick her apart and find faults with her that don't even exist or are simply contrived or... some of which we are guilty of ourselves. Pathetic.

The producers knew that a spot of "infidelity" ALWAYS does the trick with the audience. There was a moment in the most recent daily show where the camera was trying to home in on her, nothing but her back visible and often covered by other people jostling... you couldn't hear what anyone was saying yet the obsessive camera focused on Stephanie and ignored completely all the other, interesting shit that was going on around her.

IMO, everything regarding Stephanie is completely blown out of proportion just because of her hankering for a bit of touch and maybe words to the effect of "I love you" etc.

Has anyone ever taken the time and thought that there might be a reason for the way she behaves?

So she's got a boyfriend outside apparently. Just how intimate or serious or loving that relationship actually is, we certainly don't know.
She could be a young woman with history... having loved and being kicked in the guts for it, became cautious because of that but needs attention from the opposite sex (as if that is so weird) -- finally finds a guy, more because she's now needy rather than she's convinced this guy is ok or the right one. Now BB starts and she would love to have the peace of mind that the one waiting for her is the right one but she has doubts which just won't go away... what is she supposed to do? Sit in the corner, hug her knees and cry? No... she'll look for comfort and a guy who genuinely appears kind to her, she will be attracted to. Is that so strange?

I'd like to stress here that this is only one of many possible scenarios.
She's not a bad girl. She is lively, spontaneous and doesn't put on airs. Compare that to practically any other of the HMs.

Yet we crucify her because she's "cheating" on her "boyfriend" - WTF!!! What does that even mean? The guy could be a complete asshole for all we know. You ought to open your eyes folks, the world isn't black and white and here you are all pretending that you've never chosen the wrong partner and came to regret it.

When Princess Diana shagged that rich guy nobody said a word. But when lil Stephanie looks for a bit of comfort and a kiss and a cuddle we crucify her... and Stephanie isn't even engaged, let alone married nor does she have children or is a Princes... what's wrong with you people?

...oh, btw, has anyone noticed that we live in the 21st century??

Lot's a love to you peasants :woot: :p:p
