2015 Today I...

"Today I ..." amused myself (and lscp) by truly appreciating a very gifted song-writer/muso mate of ours by putting one of his more recent compositions (wot we're all hoping to make a Really Good film clip for) to some family friendly visual stuff that don't really do the tune justice.

In case you are wondering, the awesome song writer (let's call him "Will" for the sake of this posting ...) is the voice and composer to the music of a number of youtubes already posted here, such as the "Haus Spatzen", "The Smile :)", and "Marina Shores Penthouse, Airlie Beach" to name a few.

Anyhoo, ButOfCourse I now have to share my naughtiness here for potentially your amusement too. :)

So, here's the story thus far ...

quote on

Hi Will

LSCP and I were chatting about film-clip ideas for your awesome "disco love" song the other day and we had the awesome thought that nothing could be more awesome than to tie-fighter in your awesome tune with one of the most awesome stories ever to be told on film.

So, less chat, more filmclip.

Are we on the right track with the following do you think ?

In unrelated news, is anyone interested in a slightly used collection of Star-Wars action figures ? They've only danced once.

:) :) :)

PS: Fear not Will, the youtube is unlisted ...I.E. only available via link, and no way would Nigel or Dean ever forward it to anyone else. :)

Part 2, later on the same day ...

Okay, let it never be said that I’m not open to honest, positive, constructive feedback, especially when it comes from anonymous sources.

So, yes “#Real not Plastic”, I tend to agree that it is neither environmentally nor human friendly to use plastic dolls in film clips. I also agree that using stop-motion is hardly going to give the fluidity of movement that only a real and gifted human body can bring.

I also agree with the comment from “#Needs more Storm-troopers” ... that being that the clip, uh, “needs more storm-troopers” (are you sure you didn’t mean to say “cow-bell” ?)

“#Where’s Willy” also pointed out that Will’s voice didn’t actually appear let alone feature in the dolly clip. Doh !

Also, our choreographer says she simply can’t work with dolls any more now that she is all grown up and married to a grown-up like me.

Soooooo, what to do ?

Well, fortunately for Will (and the rest of us), he who lives in the online fantasy gaming world (and who is great at delivering wedding speeches, that being "numba1son") was able to put us in contact with a bunch of seriously disturbed computer-nerdy-geek types who just luuuurv to do star-wars dress ups. Our fun loving choreographer (who loves to join in with the rest of us in having some fun with Will’s truly awesome compositions) was quickly able to ... well, see for yourselves !

W00T, the project is saved !

:D

Sigh, nothing back but stunned silence so far.

I guess it needed more cowbell.

"Today I ..." finally, after 6 months of "getting around to it" re: licensing the trailer, got to see if the "sparrow 100" sailing dinghy bought last August, actually floats.

Wouldn't you know it, this arvo had to be the most windless it has been in weeks. sigh.

Oh well, at least this fine little craft appears to not need much more than the breaking of wind by a little bird in order to move it across the water. :D

Yeah, she's small, but you can all Come With, here if you like ...

At least it is ready to go now :)

I am sure there are plenty of winds to happen soon - hope you will post those adventures :)

Derspatz- any chance you could either pm or something, got something that you may be interested to know, but isn't appropriate to post here.
Cheers!

"Today I ..." read too much online from too many different online news sources and I am now in need of a good "Destiny" strike on the xbox or watching an episode of "walking through britain" or red dwarf or anything nice like that which will hopefully distract me from all the troubling and perplexing news.

I am also reminded about how careful we should all always be when it comes to the online world.

Oh no stay strong Ders. I'm sure Tones will survive another leadership spill.

^ lol ... (but, as our megan could confirm, completely unrelated)

"Today I ..." was sent the following pic from a mate who used to go boating / fishing with me back when I had a craft of similar size to that in the pic.

heartwillgoon.jpg

The context was that he was on the craft and it probably wouldn't have happened if I was skipper. I wasn't sure if he was having a lend of me so I consulted google news and found this: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-21/swimmers-rescued-during-perth-to-rottnest-event/6174408

andon.jpg

... and I spied his son's name in the news article.

So, but of course, I had to SMS him back and ask if he was ok and , wait for it ...

... wait for it ...

... if he believed his "heart would go on". :D :)

I also asked if, while he was dog paddling around for 20 minutes waiting to be rescued, if his mind went back to the massive sharks we have seen in the area and the 2m+ long hammerhead I hooked up once that was following a shark that was at least two and a half times longer than it. :D

I've not heard back as yet but I suspect he'll be in no hurry to board any small water craft any time soon.

^ okay, have now had a chat with my mate and we're going to catch up for lunch on the boardwalk at Hillarys Marina sometime, so he is clearly not worried about being too close to the sea. lol.

In fact, thanks to the, uh, "boat malfunction", not only did the the Freo rescue get a massive number of hits to their website but they are also now going to donate their time to helping the lads do the rotto swim again on the 7th of March.

Why ?

read about it here: https://www.facebook.com/crusadeforcancer
and here: http://piratedayfriday.com/

"Sorry to say but the Rottnest swim was unfortunately not completed today. Thankyou to everyone who donated and we're sorry but we had a slight boat malfunction......... and that is actually our boat. A big thanks to the Fremantle Sea Rescue for their quick and safe rescue. Good luck to all the swimmers."

(film clips and photos at the facebook page)

So, my mate is going to be back out to that treacherous bit of ocean between Freo and Rotto again, but this time in the Sea Rescue boat ... and presumably this time in a life jacket. :)

"Today I ..." asked teh Heavens "whhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy !..." and the heavens responded with "Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few ..."

R.I.P. Spock. You are and have always been my pretend friend ...

As for lone wolf howling alone, AFAIC, time appears to have been served for something and whatever it was, it is none of my business. That said, running is NOT a good look and surely it is better for all of us that we all account and atone for stuff done in this life IN this life rather than have it all brought out before our Creator, Lord, Judge ... and Saviour ... after we leave our flesh behind ?

Chris, I have no doubt you have already taken whatever it is to the foot of The Cross and are no longer whoever you were 30 years ago. The World though, just like Shylock (and teh hypocrite commonly called "the devil"), still requires its pound of flesh and, when you really think about it, wouldn't it be better to surrender that now ?

Anyhoo, not my business, I still reckon your tricycle around greece youtubes are great and, ultimately it is all between you and the Lord ... though I personally would rather have guilt dealt with long before coming literally face to face with, mind you.

Who am I to judge though. I have been an Adulterer and a Sabbath breaker AND have even coveted my neighbore's ass to name but a tiny portion of my own sin. Heck, I've even been an active posting member of BBB and toured the BB house TWICE !

Deem "judge not lest you be judged and the same measure used" and"let those without sin cast the first stone" included.

Kind of buried with marking tests and stuff at work at present plus I've had two Zenescope covers to do this month, so I've quickly knocked this one up over our 3-day weekend we've had here this week.

Anyway...

Ever since Lucy had finally gone too far in her quest for power and launched the nuclear apocalypse, Charlie Brown had roamed the wastes watching his Peanuts gang being whittled down one by one until only he and his faithful beagle; Snoopy IV were left.... But he would never give up, never. Not until he found the little red haired girl.

She was out there... somewhere...

"Today I ..." took lscp and numba1son to see a truly awesome and amusing movie at the flicks.

Doyaselvesafava and get thee to see "Kingsmen: the secret service".

I'm still chuckling at a certain scene that brightened the screen while "Land of Hope and Glory" played out.

Worth the admittance price just for that bit, I reckon and I can hardly wait til it is all over youtube. :D

In the mean time, don't watch the following if you are likely to go see the film ... or are one of those sensitive freedom hating totalitarian minded greenazi left-ardian pro-obama and/or fabian socialist emily's lister "I was young and naive" gillard church of environtology types, come to think of it.

rUSGI4ITJIA <--- youtube id

Watch this instead. :)

I must admit though that during one of Samuel L Jackson's tirades in Kingsmen, I nearly shouted out "more cowbell !". ;) :)

ooops, typo. KingsmAn, not mEn.

anyhoo, here's a review: http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollyw...ylized-vengeance-against-the-left-wing-elite/

the above contains much in the way of spoilers, mind you.

loved this description though ... but surprised it didn't mention Richard Branson ... though I guess that is implied in the movie with the certain little objects with "V" on them. ;)

Track two involves Richmond Valentine (an absolutely hilarious Samuel L. Jackson). With his ever-present New York Yankees cap and tech-gajillionaire background, Valentine is part Russell Simmons, part Mark Zuckerberg — a spoiled social misfit frustrated by a world that doesn’t see his billions as license to rule over it. Valentine is a Davos nightmare come to life, a Global Warming True Believer who sees everyone other than superior people like himself as a virus that must be sacrificed on the altar of Gaia.

Look out for Mark Hamil (we didn't realise who he played until the credits !)

more hidden spoilers ...

Left-wing elites, snobs, nanny staters, tech billionaires, sanctimonious sellout rap moguls, environmentalists, and those Westboro bastards are all brutally satirized and eventually eliminated in ways so vicariously satisfying you can hardly believe a moment of it got past Hollywood’s present-day gatekeepers.

...

Let me put it this way: “Kingsman” is so conservative Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher earn shout-outs, President Obama is in on the genocide, and the story’s central premise (correctly) sees only evil intent behind freebies like phones and Internet.

When the word “republican” is mentioned in a negative light, it is with a small “r.”

Moreover, young Eggsy is not presented as a victim of capitalism or income inequality or a lack of government largesse. Rather, he is a self-inflicted screw-up, and one who is told that if he stops crybabying for a moment he’ll see that a free society evenly distributes bootstraps. If that’s not enough, the Kingsman Secret Service was formed primarily to avoid governmental red tape.

Oh, and after the action in this movie, Hugh Grant better not go picking any more fights with Mr Darcy ! lol.

"Today I ..." was chuckling away to myself when thinkin about the awesome "kingsman" movie we saw at the flicks last night.

This then got me thinking about the whole "go to the flicks" experience and the previews shown.

Like, for a qool movie soon to show called "Chappie" which looks particularly interesting.

I then remembered something that gave me a lol during the previews ... it being the advertisment for the cinema chain we were at.

"Tonight I ..." thought that advert would be supa-fraga-disco-shoes-awesome to use to stir up my muso mate with and give other muso mates another lol.

So, here tis:

quote-on

Okay, I’ve received a whole bunch more of anon comments about the previous ideas for a film clip for Will’s awesome supa-fraga-disco-shoes that can’t help dancing on through multiple key changes.

Apparently stop motion star wars dolls and humans dressed in star wars outfits disco-ing away, just doesn’t move many of ya.

Sad face.

Apparently you lot want to see, like, an actual human face ?

Perhaps even some bare flesh ?

Maybe even a bit of, uh “top-less” and, you know, some “s-a-x” ?

... and don’t forget, some bubble bath, leopard skin print under garments, alcohol consumption, and mobile phone selfies !

Hmmmm.

Tricky.

... but I think I’ve managed to incorporate all of that into something that is safe for the workplace.

So, here ya go ... perhaps this one could be the main Event ? :)

quote-off

Truth be told, Will actually likes the stop-motion robot chicken darth vader disco version idea. I hope this doesn't mean I'm going to have to spend months playing with dolls !

What should you say after a homemade yellow and black bicycle wheel says hello to you ?

"Bee spoke"

ghods, even for dad joke, that's pretty bad, eh ?

Oh well, on with the "Today I ..." then.

"Today I ..." am really proud of my little homemaker.

ptlscp.jpg

... especially when she got her "power tools" gear on ...

ptlscp1.jpg

... and set about creating the following little reading/coffee table in the bedroom we've been redecorating, like, foreva.

ashtable1.jpg
ashtable2.jpg
ashtable3.jpg

Sure, part of the "creating" involved her getting me to help lug the lump of Ash tree in and pegging it to the wall and floor and showing her how to use a jigsaw and orbital sander (first time she had used either, and yes, I made sure her hair was tied back and she had safety specs and ear protection on), but she's the one who found/selected what became the table top, marked out and cut out the shape she wanted, smoothed it up and danish oiled it, etc, etc, etc ... I was basically just the grunt grunting out my approval and doing muscle stuff for her while watching her use those tools and working that oil in. :)

Deem "don't muzzle the ox ..." included. lol.

Anyhoo, I reckon the tree decorations go well with the wall art she previously did on the blue wall (I gave the blue a sand to reveal the white behind (can you see my face in it ? lol) then she did the birdcage stensils and the bondcreteing) as well as the red she chose/painted on the other walls.

I guess I better reward her efforts by finding my round toit so I can finish the skirting.

In the mean time, I hereby take my hat off to empowered lasses using power tools to show off their girl power.

Wow that ^ is pretty cool. It's nice to see an original piece rather than some store bought mass produced piece of crap.. Well done to all involved... very creative... I really like it!

^ Cheer Inigo. LifeStyleChoicesPartner also likes it that I'm proud of her accomplishments. I'm also looking forward to what she next chooses to do with the canvas that is our home.

"Today I ..." would like to invite one and all to get involved with the following Very Important petition.

See: https://www.change.org/p/bbc-reinstate-jeremy-clarkson

And here is my comment that accompanied my own name to the petition.

quote-on
The BBC consists, mostly, of a bunch of free loading freedom hating hubris filled totalitarian left-ards who obviously are either too immature or too full of self-loathing and/or "real man" envy to join the human race.

Jeremy, on the other hand (and much like Merv Hughes and Tony Abbott) is a the Real Man that those of the limp wristed "waa, waa, waaa, gimmi gimmi, gimme" left (I.E. those controlling the purse strings at the BBC and ABC) are forever envious of but lack the confidence and honesty to ever be.

"TODAY I .... "

Shaking my head at someone who would think that Tony Abbott was a 'Real Man' .......... Well, maybe in someones opinion, and that is what we are all allowed to have.

I do get what he says about tax payers 'funding lifestyle choice' but do not agree. With the Natives - it is their connection, with the LAND. Man - the debate could go on for ever. What is the right way to live and what is wrong ........

Do you think would be a good thing to rid Australia of its Natives? That is an very important Question.

People choose to live in these small communities. I wonder if there is money spent into making these communities connect with the 'normal Australian way' ie - tourism and understanding and documentation of how others lives life????? Do these communities even know what a 'normal life' is.

So, lets change the LIFESTYLE choice, close their communities, their homes and send these MOBS to the City or maybe another Park in Broome or even to Wellington Square - Put them into a backpackers quarters that they NEVER have been. Let's see how that all works out. Totally, the way a REAL MAN would deal with this shit, that was created over 200 years ago.

A Real Man would listen, see what the MOBS need - feel the reality - eat though sharing the food and then shake hands that they both understood. You got to sense it all. I forgot, Tones is in tunes .............

They might not be able to keep up with the human race and that is a disgrace!

Maybe, if the government put their smart hats on, they would be funding these communities in a different way - like giving them basic $ to survive on whilst looking at what their strengths are, in a positive cultural way ALSO putting in the infrastructure for these communities to be self sufficient ie: solar power etc ......

OH, and why not in the mean time, send all those in detention centres out there to work out in the outback land to make it fertile???? They are in jail - they be showing what they can do, if they want to live here????????? Then they get points into being productive.

I don't get the shit that our natives get, that choose to live in an isolated area of #whothefuckwouldgotothatplaceanyway .... OMG - What is going to happen to our precious cities, when the mobs are dislocated and then hit the big towns or even the city?

It is not all about life, as we live it now, but life as was known - and that is what I see it will all become about. The more we chuck away those that have a meaning to life - the more we will breed, get greed and up the ladder. I am sad. It is almost like breeding out a race, that is unable to keep up, that has SO much to share :(

Not many may agree, but I find it to be really sad. Lets just look at the Arts, Carvings, the way they burnt the bush, the great Dreamtime stories etc -

ANYWAYS ......... "TODAY I SAID WHAT I DID"

oh, and Tones is a TOTAL loser ........

I want Malcolm ........
