David Appreciation Thread

Ugh, Priya! She does talk to David like a school teacher. She uses this neutral, condescending tone and points her fingers at him. She knows David is a threat and is trying to make him look bad. This is just a repeat of the pool incident when they all ganged up on her.

Funny she turns on him hours after his HOH time was over.
 
Lol I love when David said that he wasn't devo when Sandra left. Suck it Sandra and to all those bleating on about him pining for her. He may have liked you, and was concerned for, but you talked shit about him like you were superior and I still think you feel he should be grateful you give him time of day..
Didn't take long for her to mock him. He doesn't need shitty fair weather friends anyway...

Yeah she makes everything about herself and then sooks. Oh Skype the program. right.

So yeah no brothers growing up would explain his bromance with Ryan who also has no brothers and that he treats women as equals because he has grown up with sisters.

It's clear the read I have always had of her IS the character she's playing in there, and David pointing that out, clearly struck a nerve.
 
Lina started out so "lovely" but has just sunk to the depths of urgh. I can't describe it any better than that. All she does sit around and bitch. That's not playing the game, it's schoolyard stuff. I think she's a little cut that David didn't buy what she was selling.

Priya is trying to blacken the reputation of everyone she sees as a threat, one by one. It's obvious to me, hopefully the rest of the viewing public can see through her shady moves. She's got her fingers in a lot of pies. That can backfire should one group get wind of her multiple "alliances". I will give her one thing though, she's the queen of manipulating a conversation to her advantage. The only outs is the one David took eventually, which is to simply end it.

Man, I feel so lucky. I had awesome teachers at school. They were like our friends. We'd sit and make toasted sammiches in our Year Level coordinators office at lunch time, watch movies in the library backroom, and our chemistry teacher used to teach us theories based on alcoholic beverages, her particular favourite being Ouzo. I look back on school as awesome times, I don't ever remember being talked down to. Told to shut up, yes, but never degraded.

Chloe was going in the house today. The competition entry said the person must be free today. So hopefully it is in tomorrow nights episode.

To be fair Priya is going around making 'subtle' white anting comments about every hm she considers a potential winner and thus a threat to her, including a supposed friend in Skye.

That was in like week what? 2? I'm sure David won't take it to heart. They have gotten to know each other much better have become close. Why people don't get over this is just .....bleh.
 
I don't get the whole 'bully' and 'misogynist' tag either to be honest. I see him being annoying sometimes because he IS male after all lol, if I was there I'd be giving it back to him as good as I got. He doesn't see women as weaker and people to be coddled or pandered to, and doesn't like it when they paint themself with that victim brush..
That's where shitty name calling and commentary I read is so wrong because it paints a woman with a victim mentality. Oh poor bullied, downtrodden women. BULLSHIT. Women can and do stand up for themselves and that's what a man who actually DOES see them as equals expects. Yay to all the strong women in his life.

Ps I saw a lot of anti male sentiments flying around in the house. How is that better?

There's a HUGE difference between someone who is a bully/misogynist and a person who doesn't put up with shit. David doesn't tolerate bullshit and stands up for himself and as soon as he does, people try and paint him as a woman hater.

All the Priya fans are hating on him now. They're all going on about how he said he's not upset that Sandra left. He isn't heartless, he's a realist. He said it's a game and they're down to the business end. He knows he will see Sandra again in two weeks. I think David's line of thought is, it's a game, there's no time to get upset about people who have left.
