From these numbers, A lot of people seem to record the show or watch it online after it's aired.

Maybe it's not doomed after all.

The dates are wrong for those entries and on Wednesday Big Brother was the 5th most time shifted show.

You're right though... the Wednesday timeshifted placing was wrong although I could've sworn it was number one when I looked. But it's listed as 4th after Criminal Minds, Wonderland, and a repeat of Criminal Minds according to this http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2014/10/timeshifted-wednesday-8-october-2014.html

By incorrect date I mean that Wednesday was the 8th October not the 9th etc :)

The list you are looking at is not a list of the most timeshifted shows - it is showing the new top 20 after consolidation - often shows outside the top 20 get lots of extra viewers. On that Wednesday The Good Wife was the 3rd most timeshifted show with 133,000 extra but it doesn't show up in the top 20 list - so BB was 5th.

Yeah I went back to edit my post to say I figured out the date thing. Times like this when the 10 minute rule kind of sucks.

Ah I didn't realise that there was another place you were grabbing the #s from. Whenever I've posted it I've just used David's list so it must've just been a fluke that the other times and Thursday and Friday this week were correct.

On another note, I'm more surprised at all those people recording The Good Wife. I like that show but damn that's a big #.
 
More people are watching BB in consolidated numbers than last year, probably due to the later start/finish times (just a guess). With last year's 7.30 shows there was about a 6% extra consolidated rating while this year it is about 12%.
 
Also shows how Nine have completely stripped the live element out of it - it's a show now people are happy to watch when they want too rather than feel they have to watch nightly to keep up with.

Haven't they also increased thr amount of homes where online viewing is now counted. Still only 15% of their sample so I don't believe we yet have a true reflection of how high consolidated viewing actually is.
