David Appreciation Thread

no, he has been annoyed about being accused of being a 'strategist' for weeks now. so he saw an opportunity to pass the title on to somebody else and ingratiate himself to the schoolyard toughs. you idiot dave. who you reckon is going to get schooled hey[DOUBLEPOST=1413462778][/DOUBLEPOST]
go read the transcript then try to repeat what you posted with a straight face.

I know what happened. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I was disappointed with David too as he showed his true colours in tonight's ep, maybe there was some truth to what Lisa said about him after all.

The guy is so desperate to get accepted into the cool kids group he's willing without a second to throw under the bus the 1 PERSON who showed him any compassion by approaching and talking to him in a day when nobody else wanted a bar of him.

Speaks volume of his character that after all the shit Sandra has put him through he's still seeking her approval and friendship. Wake up and smell the coffee David, she ain't that into you.

You mean the same person that threw him up for eviction last night? Please.

I certain agree with you that he says things he shouldn't for acceptance (it's been his problem from the start). However I don't think it's the "cool kids" he wants the acceptance from (they're in the minority now)...I think he just wants some acceptance from anyone...hence still being so loyal to Sandra despite her not giving him a second thought usually.

He was only pointing out what a sneaky game player that Skye is and that the nickname 'strategy Skye' is a suitable nickname for her.

he did say he said that to rile her up.

I was talking more his rant, trying to talk down, join in with Ryan in the condescending game of trying to make her feel and look dumb.

Ah only thing that pisses me off is the fact that David is hanging around Sandra, after the way Sandra is around him. She is always such a bitch to him. Also, last week David was talking about how there were 2 groups, he was in the 'good group' and Sandra and them were the wrong ones, now what has happened :( I really hope Sandra is out this week. I still like David though, he has been having a good run, everyone has their slip ups >< ( I still haven't finished watching the episode)

Well she didn't mean to, Dave was just collateral to save her closest allies and friends in there, it was nothing personal. Asking Skye to do more than that for Dave at this point is a bit much.

Excellent point.

Then why should David be asked to do anything for Skye if that's the case? Why should he not be allowed call her out if he thinks she's been fake because she spoke to him one Friday night? Especially when she had no hesitations laughing away as she put him up for eviction?

Damn, I forgot that last week David was talking about the "other group" when he was on the bed with Lisa, Aisha and someone else. He even pointed out that Ryan and Sam were the heads of it. WTF has happened there?!

On another note I did rewatch the Ryan/Skye/David/Sandra stuff and I could hear Sandra and a male voice laughing (pretty sure it was Ryan) as they walked away. It was low in their mics when they neared the door.

He doesn't know anything about it does he? For all he knows Skye tried to save him and if this is how he goes about repaying kind deeds from strangers then I'd hate to think how he treats his friends.

obviously you dont!
thats ok though. people like ryan, sandra, and now davo depend on that for support i suppose.

There are plenty of Skye Appreciation threads where you can "appreciate" her, instead you chose to troll other HM's threads. Do you really think that helps Skye? To me, it makes her stans appear more haters of other HM's than fans of her. Otherwise, her appreciation threads would be like this thread, where fans describe why they like David. Why don't you use your energy to be positive about her to her fans rather than bitch about other HM's?

That's right, everyone has a slip up, David's is that he is loyal. Sandra is undeserving of it, but it's his characteristic of supporting her that I look at. His intention was to be loyal IMO.

people were talking about skye in this thread, so i joined in.

@Gemini I agree with you there. Everyone seems to think that David owes Skye loyalty just because of that whole incident where David said to Skye she was the only one to talk to him blah blah. I have to admit, from that I thought they made a cute team, but as soon as she put him up for eviction like she did yesterday, I was like wow did not expect that at all. So yes, I see nothing wrong with how David feels towards Skye, only problem I have is him thinking Sandra is on his side and him just caring that much for someone like Sandra annoys me lol he needs to stay away from her. I can't stand that woman. She deff needs to leave!!

The scenarios are 2 completely different issues tbh, I don't know why you insist on linking the 2. Like I said Dave doesn't know about Skye putting him up for eviction, all he knows is Skye was the only 1 willing to be lend a kind ear to a person who had been cruelly isolated by the rest of the group.

It's okay to admit that David has erred in judgement this 1 time, it doesn't make a lesser person because of it he's just a flawed human like the rest of us.

He better learn from it and not repeat the same mistake again though.

That's the thing though, I don't understand why someone should be crucified for spending time with someone from another "group". It was blatantly obvious from the start of the show that he was worried about Sandra and said he felt helpless not being able to do anything for her. He kept asking people where she went. Sure he knows there's a group and Sam and Ryan are/were the heads of it but he was worried about someone he considers a friend and wanted to be with her. Now I don't like him doing that because I don't think Sandra deserves that loyalty from him but I can hardly criticise him for "crossing over" to be with someone he wants to support - especially when nobody on the other side seems to give him the time of day anyway.

David's loyalty is a lovely quality. One of the best ones anyone could hope for in a friend. Unfortunately we know that Sandra hasn't been loyal to him, even going so far to nominate him, and all the other shit she talked... but he doesn't. Her pulling away from him when he had the beard, losing the $20k for them, not kissing him but then immediately kissing Leo... all things I would've ditched her for already but he hasn't. I still suspect he has a crush and now that Sam's gone this could explain why he's now jumped from what he said last week to this one. (I just realised that now as I'm typing this)
