Cat (2014 Housemate) Thread

I much prefer Priya personally. I find Priya to be smarter, stronger and more calculating. Priya's ability to decipher situations and people makes her interesting and worth having in the house.

Cat is just so pathetic with the whole Lawson saga and even when she apologised to Lisa a week ago, she was nothing more than a blubbering mess. And then again when she apologised to Leo simply for having the conversation with Lawson? There was little reason to apologise in either situation , grow a back bone...

I recall her saying to Sandra during silent disco challenge that coming on BB was to overcome her fear of people hating her....I have noooo idea why you would go on Big Brother as there isn't a guarantee....In any case, what a lame reason to go on anyway

She grates on me....

Cat is a train wreck who is much more interesting to watch than boring, stable Priya.

I disagree

Priya has a lot to say, especially negative and critical things about other housemates and situations. Her predictions about what will happen, for instance when X is evicted are interesting and often correct.

Cat represents the girl who clings to the idea of 'Mr Right' and spits the dummy when this never eventuates- you see this time and time again with many women- it's pathetic to watch and makes me embarrassed to be female

When has Cat ever talked about 'Mr Right'?

More interesting? Her constant crying is such a drag..it makes me want to turn my T.V off because it's so uncomfortable to watch. Although i don't like Priya much, at least when she speaks it isn't cringe worthy.

I love the fact that it is uncomfortable to watch.

I have a feeling Cat will be worse than Tully.
That's not who I was referring to as at least Tully's target of affection/obessession eventually reciprocated those feelings.

Moreover none of the females in this season strike me as having anywhere near the same propensity for volatility that Tully is capable of.

Oh, sorry. Jade was creepy. Cat just reminds of Tully with the constant crying. I feel Cat will be just as volatile as Tully.

I'm not using mr right literally- More so that her expectations are unrealistic in terms of her age- she acts like she's mid/late 20s-and how she is going after unavailable men. Her unrealistic expectations lead her to crack when life don't go to plan

Really? Tully could get quite 'stroppy' and intimidating when she chucked some of her tantrums. I don't get that from any of the girls in there this year, not even Lisa who's quite calm and collected when she's busy ripping into someone. lol

I guess it's more in hope than anything else. I want to see if her behaviour changes around Lawson or not if she is still in the Big Brother house in a month's time.

Good points.

So do you think Cat will crack or has she already cracked?

If Cat does, it will be all very prim and proper nothing different to what we have seen so far.

Here's my theory on Cat. She hooked up with a guy fairly young. They went out for ages. They got married. Reality hit, they get divorced. That's life. So, she now is trying to re-live her twenties. Turn back the clock, so to speak. Do the things now she may have missed out on. Be the other woman. Take risks. Honestly, she would have been much better off going on a Contiki tour than into the BB house.

That is an interesting theory. But if she was looking for someone young why not go to Jake or Ryan. Why go for a man that has a girlfriend?

Because it's exciting! And an ego boost.

Ok. If your theory is true, what will Cat do now in regards to Lawson? Will she respect the fact that he has told her that it's not possible and that he has a girlfriend? Will she move on to someone else?
