Cat (2014 Housemate) Thread

thoughts on cat?
I auditioned with her in Albury and we spent a bit of time together, she told me she was auditioning in Albury because she knew she had a better shot of getting it there than in Melbourne. Well played kitty

Cat is the biggest babe EVER

... she comes across a bit more intellectual than the rest so give her time to come out of her shell
but surprised BB allowed her rubbishing her previous workplace in Ernst and Young go to air

... that's being the first real bit of controversy/raw footage in the house thus far

#wouldwife
...
I mean #wouldwifeagain

I keep thinking this is a thread about cats.

She seems cool though, I like what she said in the diary room about tension between the housemates. Hopefully that comes to air soon.

Never come across someone who goes by the abbreviated form of Catherine? Yes, it is pronounced exactly like the word for domesticated Cats. :p

No Housemate is better prepped for new beginnings than 31-year-old Melbourne midwife Cat.

With three university degrees and a fervent obsession with board games, identical twin Cat is both the beauty and the geek, priding herself on her kindness, intelligence, and fierce independence.

She’s recently divorced but definitely not desperate and promises to never stir the pot intentionally.

Best stay vigilant, though; this crafty Cat lives by the philosophy that, when it comes to playing the game, cheating doesn’t count if you don’t get caught!
On hanging up her accountant’s hat:
When I first moved to Melbourne, I came to study commerce, finished my degree, worked at a ‘big four’ accounting firm for four years, and was miserable pretty much the whole time I was there … I went back to university to study midwifery and have now been working as a midwife for three years. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

On delivering babies:
Delivering a baby is probably one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. I can still remember the first baby I saw being born; it’s a memory that I don’t think will ever leave … Most people say that their child being born is the best time of their life and I’m really lucky that I get to be a part of that.

On physical beauty:
Some people think that life’s easier if you’re more attractive … You have to prove yourself a little harder. You have to prove that you’ve got more substance to you because people might pigeonhole you.

On having an identical twin:
We didn’t actually know in the beginning if we were identical or not. Back in the day, ultrasounds weren’t as common so it was just assumed we weren’t identical because there were two placentas, but when we were just the spitting image of each other growing up, we were able to do genetic testing and found out that we are identical.

On gossip:

I’ll never say something behind someone’s back that I wouldn’t have the guts to say to their face.

On mean girls:I’m definitely not a mean girl… I was picked on by mean girls in school, that’s why I know I’m not one of those.

On the stigma attached to divorce:
I hate telling people I was only married for a year. You find yourself trying to justify it just to meet people’s expectations. I know what I had and I know why it ended, and it ended for reasons that it had to. I’m not ashamed of it, but telling people can be embarrassing.

On online dating:
I once went on a date with a guy that I met on a millionaire matchmaker website and it was the worst experience of my life … I got home that night and took my profile off straight away.

On her best character trait:
People say that I'm really reliable and I appreciate that. I would like to be seen like that.

On footy fever:
I hate it! But I have two back-up teams that I ‘follow’ if anyone ever asks me the question, because obviously Melbourne’s very AFL crazy. So if anyone ever asks me the question, I just tell them I go for Geelong or Brisbane.

Is this to me? You never actually use the reply button so I'm unsure.

And no I haven't met any cats.

WAIT!!! there's more than one Cat!

this is too much :woot:

I think she is nice but she seems a bit boring, plus I'm a dog person

She looks familiar. She might have an association with one of the Melbourne HM's. She seems nice though. I was a bit worried about the identical twin thing because of Ed last year.

I was at a party last night, and I walked past these girls who were talking about Big Brother, and I kinda honed in and I ended up talking to them because apparently they have mutual friends or whatever. Anyway, according to them, Cat is completely nuts, completely fame hungry, and she's not acting like herself in the slightest. Apparently her marriage was only seven months long, and apparently after it was over, she went and dated some guy and was "the crazy girlfriend type" and screwed him over in whatever way.

Also, she's apparently done some sort of porn.

I obviously can't verify any of this, so take it with a grain of salt, but if anyone feels like digging...

(I also told them if they wanted to get in contact with this site, so we'll see what happens I guess)

I can totally see it.
