Tonight's episode was so bad. 40% Gemma being a fool, 40% Jake and Lisa blithering about and pussyfooting around their 'like' for one another, 10% Lisa being an unmitigated bitch, 5% David fighting to keep his beard and 5% good stuff. I guess the only consolation is that there wasn't enough Sonia for her to get a percentage of her own. I want the old bb back...

So, who can David recruit for the misfits? Gemma, okay, but her time is limited. Priya. Skye won't feel like she is on the outs - even though if she and Lisa go up , the boofs will choose Lisa, As will Katie. Jake too, I guess - even though it will cost him the chance of having a chance.

Jason will side with the boofs. Goose. Lawson would go with David. If Travis goes this eviction, then maybe Aisha will go with misfits.

So, David, Gemma, Priya, Lawson

vs, Travis, Ryan, Sam, Dion, Katie, Lisa

? Jake, Jason, Cat, Sandra,

Skye should go misfit, but wont feel that way. And take Aisha, because Katie and Lisa will want to remove the competition - for boys, because they are too stupid to think beyond the social.

Finished here. Not a great episode, I was tuning out for most of it. Tim's re-entry was a let-down, too contrived.

Travis and Gemma were giving me a Carlo and Belinda vibe at the end, it was just awkward to watch. That scene with Travis, together with the scene with Lisa earlier in the episode, it was like watching a school playground. But Gemma doesn't help herself either, she's backed herself into a corner and is lashing out accordingly. She's directed it at Priya a couple of times, which seems unwarranted.

The greater injustice in this episode wasn't the whole contrived Tim appearance and construction of another contrived "event" to spruik in tomorrow's show, it was the glaring absence of the actual star of the show... PRIYA.

WHY HAS SHE DISAPPEARED? If they keep silencing the queen, she will be evicted. So unfair!

Maybe she is just being really boring. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but, there is nothing to base it on.

Sam is 'dating', so must be a new relationship... and Dion, Jason and Lawson all have long-term relationships

so when David says "the beard got me in here" was he told by Alex M 'we like you but you need to grow a beard and then you can be a hm?' he said he's been growing it for 9 months - when did auditions start?

David use to have trimmed beard, like Dion but he went OS for holiday 9 months ago, and started to grow the beard. ...it was few months before auditions

Gemma is weird ...truly... but it's kind of fun watching her and Travis interact. I think he is scared that she is the alpha male and he is not.

I know it's going to generate interest, and will probably deliver solid ratings, but since when should interest in Big Brother be generated by one of the housemates altering their appearance? It's so superficial. The compulsion to tune in should be to see how events/conflicts/relationships in the house and between housemates unravel. The events, promotion and interest should be generated from the housemates themselves, and require minimal effort on the part of the production team. Relying on stunts like this to keep people interested is very difficult to sustain in the long run - it's symptomatic of a dying show. We saw the same thing in BB08, with the Pamela Anderson and Carson Kressly visits. They are going to burn themselves out eventually.

Meh, the practicality of it all makes sense.

But to me, it's just like selling out. I mean, staying true to yourself, probably won't matter to the housemates, to the viewers but only to himself.

I don't blame David for the decision, because when the best BB housemate of Australia continually urges you to do it, to do it, to do it, you probably will end up doing it.

I never thought Tim was a good bloke anyhow, so it doesn't surprise me, but does disappoint me.

She would be the obvious choice, but do the bird brains that are in there, realise that they could get rid of the stronger person of the evicted pair. They might not get too many chances to evict Sandra or Jake, because its their partners that have dragged them into nomination contention. Daves beard going, I would have put money on it. I hope its Travis and Cat and they get rid of Travesty.
