This was the funniest part of the entire episode, What an idiot thinking $300 would make a difference to her life, "I can use this on my loan" Ahahahaha.

Obviously you have no clue on economics.
I think Skye is delightful and is one of the stand out housemates this season so far. I just hope that she doesn't ruin it by going after Jake.
 
I think Skye has more common sense than some of those other hm's. She is not going to die without food. The shakes are not adequate for many, but she realises it's still enough to survive. She is being logical. It wasn't even a few days the hm's reacted ridiculously and she stayed positive and did not focus all her energy on the lack of food but being grateful for what's there. The 300 dollars is not going to pay off her loan, but she meant it was something to put towards her loan when she leaves the house because she will need every little bit to contribute because there is no job to fall back on when she is out. That is actually someone being wise. Why pay a 100 dollars for a meal when at the end she isn't going to die of starvation and she has just gained 300 instead.

She is thinking ahead rather than just at the very moment. She isn't letting the hype draw her in to the madness surrounding her for the time being but shows strength to overcome that. That's my opinion and my perception of it.

Some people should focus on the actual event rather than their perception that she sounds stupid and that's all.

She didn't say it would make a difference, but that it's fucking ridiculous to spend 100 dollars on a meal.

After I saw her promo video for the show, I didn't like her. Maybe she is not the smartest person, but she is funny to watch. Looking forward to see how long she will stay in the house and what will be with her.

$300 isn't that much, sure, but her point was 'why buy overpriced food (which isn't even worth it) with this money, when I could get so much more of it outside of the House?'. It seems perfectly rational to me. It's almost like stocks. She's saving the money (which isn't worth much inside the house, only three meals or so) for later, when it will be more valuable (outside of the house $300 could buy double the meals, or clothes, or other stuff she may find more useful).

edit: the bit about the loan was tacked on the end, I'm pretty sure she was just giving an example.

Just saw her without all her heavy makeup (ep 6 Sunday 9pm show) in the new room for makeup/changing clothes etc and she's sooo beautiful! Taking off the heavy lipstick and foundation seriously takes ten years off her face, she actually looks like the gorgeous 20 year old she is <3 <3

Skyeee please please get tired of applying makeup soon and just walk around like that from now on. You're so beautiful.

i love skye more and more every day! i think she can go far in the house provided she doesnt make the deadly mistake of becoming some meatheads hookup. stay single skye!
 
On the BB Facebook someone commented that they thought Skye had a boyfriend and tagged one of Skye's friends, and she liked the comment. Did she have one? Dump him before she went on?
 
$300 is a month of no student loan payment for me. So, for some people, $300 can help. If you don't have a job, every dollar counts.

I'm surprised she is so practical but spends money on collagen for her lips. She must be really insecure. Weird combination of traits.

I had posted this in the other thread but I saw further down where someone said the pics were older. Which pics they were referring to I have no clue but they were apparently of her and a guy. She may have pulled a Drew though or even let her boyfriend know she was single when he saw her intro package.

and yeah @Rose711 I thought that was really practical of her too. Look at the financial position of most of the HMs from last season. Many of them were crying poor by December, if not earlier. I'm pretty sure a couple of them still don't have steady work. I thought that was very insightful of her to recognise that that $ has a lot more value on the outside than it does in the house.
