It seemed like such a cop out for Andy's daughter to so easily forgive Jessica and not be angry with her. If someone kills your siblings, is there any reasonable scenario where you chat to the killer about your "crush" and boys ever, let alone so soon after they did it? Such bullshit.
Well there was a 6 month time jump in the last season. But you are right it is a bit weird they would be having that conversation.

I keep forgetting about that time skip bullshit (another cop out). But I just don't buy chatting with your sister's murderer, at any point. Especially in such a cheery way. I wonder about the writers thought process on this.

YES! Billith answered my prayers! Looks like Lafayette and James are full steam ahead. :D

Sauce

/Side Note/ Talk faux outrage. So he doesn't want to play gay? Who cares.

Woah, that's not a good look for an actor to refuse to play a role because it will include some same sex stuff.

Doesn't Portia De Rossi refuse roles where she has to kiss a man now, as well? I swear I remember that story in the last couple of years. I have not seen anything she has done since Better Off Ted, but despite her character hooking up with Ted, they never had any physical contact, that I can remember.

In the last season of Arrested Development I "think" she kissed a man in that.

So I take it that actresses (and actors as well for that matter) should be expected to do nude (bare breasts, full frontal etc.. :whistling: :D) scenes without so much as peep out of their mouths in protest even though it wasn't originally stipulated in the contract they first signed?

What don't we take it a step further and demand that all actor/actresses test their acting skills to it's absolute fullest and do a few pornos at some point in their careers?

I'd like to see that :)

I get what you are saying, I just think it will look bad to the casting people in Hollywood. Straight men do play gay and I just think if you can do that it means you have dedication to your craft. but for whatever reason his guy did not want to do it.
And lets be honest the sex scenes in an HBO show are almost like soft porn. I know when I'm watching and a sex scene comes on I have to turn to volume down because I'm scared people will think I actually am watching porn. O_O

This little kerfuffle reminds me about how Ed was lambasted for his silly childish (but totally understandable) reaction after he was coerced/peer pressured into kissing Ben.

I don't think women get this much stick for refusing to kiss another female but for some reason liberal-minded individuals see homophobia if a hetero male refuses to do the same.

Am I the only one who feels like the Eric/Jason thing was put in the episode to distract from how boring the episode was? Since I am of the wrong persuasion for that stuff, I was sadly not distracted.

Ha! I wouldn't say the episode was boring just slow paced as it seems like a bit of a set the scene type episode. But I'll give you that opening scene was entirely gratuitous.

Also you've got to admit the following line alone made the episode a win. I legitimately laughed. :giggle:

I get why they did it, give the people (the ones attracted to men) what they want.

I know that they are setting the scene but I still want something now. They advanced the "town goes militant" story line a little and the Eric reveal, but beyond that I felt there was too much setting the scene. Mark Waid articulated that theory better than I could, but I can't find the link. Something along the lines of "stop setting the scene for issue 5 of your book and give me something in issue 2 because issue 2 is boring me".[DOUBLEPOST=1404119994][/DOUBLEPOST]

Its nice when they don't have background characters act too obliviously. Bonus points.

This was me in the first 5 minutes of the show, couldn't wait for it to be over. (no homophobe, at least I think so. :whistling: )

Could barely keep my eye open to be honest. lol

I have no idea what their motivation was for the first scene (besides providing eye candy for the LBGT community) but to me it reeks of a bunch of writers who have run out of ideas and are just putting out any crap that pops into their head hoping die hards will stick around to the bitter end regardless. I wouldn't just say this episode was boring but the whole premise of the last season is promising to be a stinker of epic proportions

They've stopped caring whether TB makes any f*cking sense anymore and it shows as the standard of the show has dropped dramatically. Can't wait for it to be over already, it's truly saddening what has become of TB. :(

lol I was thinking what the?? when we were watching the Jason/Eric scene and it was kind of cringey and hell yeah! at the same time for me.
I thought it was completely gratuitous until I got to the end and the ending kind of bookended the beginning position with Eric 'you found me' by Pam and Jason.
I think the beginning showed him at his most masculine and virile and healthy, juxtaposed with how he was at the end with Hep V and basically looking like shit.
I 'think' the writer's motivation in part is to give THIS image of Eric more impact because the last we saw of him was the complete opposite.
(as well as fulfilling wishes of some viewers who'd been hoping for a Jeric hookup for some time).

You're giving them too much credit Insomniac. All of this season is pretty much just filler, the show should've end ages ago as they're obviously incapable of coming up with any decent new ideas and unashamedly resorting to recycling what's worked for them in the past.

I loved when Jason woke up after his sex dream and had this little smile on his face, kind of like he enjoyed the dream. The actor who plays Jason always delivers. When he ate the pizza in that house to figure out how long it had been there was probably the funniest part of the episode, then line that Andy said after nearly killed me..... HAHA pizza forensic. Yeah this show really makes no sense sometimes, but I'm enjoying all the little funny Jason moments.
