Yeah it did lose steam a bit but then so did the books. I'll watch it till the end though I've invested in it too much to abandon it now.

I wish..
Sookie would end up with Bill but I think my chances are very slim.

I had the same philosophy with Dexter. That did not work out for me.

So I've nearly finished season 3 and I've had an epiphany. When they eventually make a black comedy about George W Bush, the only guy that needs to audition is Jason Stackhouse.

Well, GoT is finished, and I binged watched all of OITNB, so True Blood will be my TV show for the next little while at least

Its sort of gone the way of Dexter post season 4 lately (and by lately I mean multiple years). I am pinning my hopes on Ray Donovan to improve their story lines to match their quality actors.

I'm nearly half way through season 5 now, and Tara is bonding with Jess about being a new vampire. I'm still enjoying it! We watch about a season a week, so maybe that's keeping my momentum going. I'm a little bit in love with Eric. We were out for lunch on Friday and when we'd finished my mister asked for the bill. Pffft! I'll have the eric.

IMO Season 4 and 5 were semi decent, I got some enjoyment out them at least. Although some fans strongly disagree and think that's when the show took a huge nose dive. But without a doubt Season 6 is one hell of an insipid embarrassing mess, it doesn't even feel like the same show anymore and there aren't many fans who are still sticking up for the show after what was served up last year, myself included.

That's a shame. It's unusual for a show to maintain strength for 6 years, though. A lot of them lose steam very early. I guess True Blood jumped the shark pretty early, though, but is still very watchable to me. At least they haven't gone to Hawaii/Australia!! Yet!

I think it jumped the shark about the usual time. Dexter jumped after season 4, Underbelly jumped after 3, Buffy jumped after 5 and House was about 5. Some never jump like the Wire, Breaking Bad and the Sopranos but they only went for between 5-6 seasons each. And some never have the chance to jump like Deadwood, Firefly and Clerks TAS. Seems to be in line with what we have seen.

Does anybody think that Tara is really dead? We didn't see her die on screen and Pam as her maker didn't react to her death.

It did seem like an "odd" death for a main character - I bawled my eyes out when Terry died but that got like a whole episode. It seemed a bit "meh" with Tara

Don't think this is a spoiler, but Alcide's and Jason's bottoms made the episode for me

No way is it for real. So unceremonious for such an important character.

And I'm sorry Jessica but who else is totes shipping Lafayette and James (who I see they recast with the hunky werewolf from The Originals)?

I am a straight female, but I am so shipping them. Sod off Jessica

100% shipping them, hopefully Jess and Andy's daughter get it on as well.

It's obviously been like a year since I watched last season, so I'll need some help on this, but are humans infected with the Hep V virus and that is why that guy in Morocco offered his daughter to Pam to feed off. How did humans get infected with the Virus?

Yeah I don't really get it either. How did it spread so fast? ٩(๏̯͡๏)۶

I remember in the final of last season that there was a time jump of 6 months or so and the virus must of spread in that time, but for the life of me I can not remember how humans got affected by the hep V virus. I guess I better get the portable hard drive out and watch that episode again.

Ok give me the the cliffsnotes version when you do. :p

Given that the writers have stopped caring whether their putrid story lines make any friggin' sense, so have I. I'm just along for the ride hoping to make it to the end.

It seemed like such a cop out for Andy's daughter to so easily forgive Jessica and not be angry with her. If someone kills your siblings, is there any reasonable scenario where you chat to the killer about your "crush" and boys ever, let alone so soon after they did it? Such bullshit.
