2014 Today I ......

...Today I... moved 3 tons of soil by hand ... I moved 3 tons yesterday too... I'll be moving another 2 tons tomorrow... this 60 year old body is really starting to feel the wear and tear of heavy duty work I'm afraid... my shoulder and back muscles aren't loving me at the moment... I wish that my body was as young as my childish brain then I'd be having no problems whatsoever lol!... aaaaah!... the pleasures of growing old eh?... cheers.
...bleachy my friend... do you realise that Coldplay are playing on Channel 7 right now?... just thought that I'd let you know seeing that you missed out on tickets to them... cheers.
They better put it up on plus7!
Today I... need to come in here and breathe a sigh of frustration.
Coldplay are playing an intimate show (Enmore Theatre) next month and I missed out on presale tickets and general sale tickets today.
There are a lot of people complaining to the promoter and to ticketek. Whilst I am disappointed, I fully understood this was a luck of the draw type thing. Tickets sold out basically immediately. I pressed right on 10am and already sold out.
The maths helps to ease my pain. This is a band who can easily sell out multiple nights at 40k plus arenas. The Enmore Theatre has a capacity of 1600. Most people would buy in the maximum allotment of 2 tickets which means only 800 people got through.
*siiiiggghhhhhhh* would have been an amazing experience to see Coldplay in such an intimate venue.
Ahh well... Now I just wish they would hurry up and release their new album on Spotify.
You poor thing! It would have been interesting to see what the vibe was like in such a smaller venue, great no doubt.

Haha yeah. The flashing bracelets. Awesome!!You poor thing! It would have been interesting to see what the vibe was like in such a smaller venue, great no doubt.Their last stadium tour was one of the best concerts I've been too.

Ha! I still have mine.

...yep!... another 2 tons moved... another 3 tons on Friday to move... hopefully that'll be it... my front yard is in the process of a complete makeover at the moment... I get a break tomorrow because I go to my Bonsai class thank god!... (my body will be happy at least lol!)... oh well... time for a rum!... cheers.

Onya bloke ... and by complete coincidence, I didn't move tonnage today, nor imbibe rum, but I did take delivery of a certain replica/decorative (that is prolly more deadly than a Real version due to manufacturing techniques that are likely to see it become an unintentional missile) accoutrement that the bloke in the picture would be able to wield if he put down the rum jug.

Yeah, LSCP and I don't just do medieval ... we do buccaneer too.

...I like that Derspatz... I can just see Captain Jack Sparrow... (a long lost relative perhaps?... lol!)... swashbuckling his way around with it lol!... how long is it?... I`m guessing that it`s a full length replica because you don`t seem to be the type to do things in half measures to me lol!... cheers.
...damn... a double post... oopsies... cheers.
...Today I... was outside working in my yard... moving more soil... digging onion weed out of my old garden beds in preparation for my new gardens... the sun was shining... the birds were chirping away... the trees were very gently swaying due to an ever so slight breeze... during a rest period while I was sipping on a nice cold beer... this song came into my head...
...it's been in there all day... replaying itself over and over and over again... I do love that song soooooo much ... so when I finally finished my work I then came inside and had a shower and got all cleaned up and sat down at my computer and immediately went onto YouTube and played the song... now it's out of my head at last!... lol!... since then I've been playing all different Cure songs all afternoon... aaaaah!... what a perfect day!... cheers.

Well, I had a perfect day, too, @Mr Stickyfingers!
I had a day off, so only worked for 2 hours from home in the early morning. Then my beloved Mr Jam came home and picked me up to take me to lunch! Hooray! First we had to go to see a client, then we had to deliver some gear to his staff, then we had to pick up a cheque from someone; THEN we got to have lunch! And we were on the Mornington Peninsula, so we walked along a pier, admired the water, enjoyed the sun. Then he had to see a client, deliver some gear etc. etc. You get the idea. I spent a lot of time on my phone. But we enjoyed the trip to the Peninsula, loved the sunshine and got to spend a precious day together. And I only had to work for an extra hour and a half once we got home! WIN!

I don't know if I'm posting this in the wrong thread and even the wrong forum. I just cannot tolerate animal cruelty at all and I am totally PISSED OFF that the AFL has given bull fighting even fleeting credence. Horse racing is bad enough with all the deaths that happen, but bull fighting is beyond any defence at all. It's been outlawed in Catalonia, for fuck's sake! If it's not tolerated in parts of Spain, why is it referenced here?
EDIT: Ok, I just realized this was from 2009, so I'm a little late, but I'm still RIGHTEOUSLY INDIGNANT! /indignation

A HUGE congrats to you and your fiancé! Good to see you get some good news to equal things out. Plenty of time for wedding planning so don't freak out too much.
